I want to inform you about a potential safety issue regarding the Lucid Air. A few weeks ago I was in an accident in a parking garage and I believe this was due to a malfunction in the car. The reason I am writing this letter is in hopes of preventing future accidents. In this case, luckily no one was hurt but considering the extend of the damage, that could have easily not been the case. I was
... coming down the ramp of a parking garage and making the 180 degree turn common in parking garages. As I was making the turn in the last 90 degrees, the car locked up and accelerated at a very rapid rate. My car and the car I hit were totaled with even extensive damage to another car also. A very high speed would have been required to cause so much damage. Please see attached videos and photos. Of note, one time before my Lucid completely shut off while driving on our local loop requiring to be towed to Lucid to be fixed. Let’s see I can’t scroll that watch I can’t get down here blue color, BMW, famous color. That’s literally the one but the red for this. T We never received a full understanding of what happened but were told a team from the main Lucid office had to come to repairs the battery mechanism. I understand that I am the one that could have hit the accelerator but I believe I was pressing the brake with no response. If I did hit the accelerator, how could I have generated so much speed in such a short distance. The car was also set for high level regenerative braking. The car log should be able to tell if the accelerator or brake was pushed. As I said earlier, I hope an investigation can be done to help prevent any future accidents.Read more

While driving on a highway at approximately 40 mph. My car lurched and felt like I lost control of the steering. I slowed down and it felt like the car was straight but the steering wheel was turned. I thought maybe I had a flat tire. I drove again slower and the same thing happened. I heard a sound that sounded like a flat tire- a constant thumping noise. I had the car towed to a repair shop and
... the repairman said I had rusted lower control arms that should be covered by an extended warranty that I was never notified of an issue from Nissan. When contacting Nissan they said the extended warranty ran out and I would have to wait approximately one month without a car for them to do an inspection. Had this incident happened 2 months ago I beleive the repair would have covered. I'm so upset that something might have happened more tragically. I wanted to make the NHTSA aware of the problem. How was your safety or the safety o others put at risk? On [XXX], I bought a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek. Unfortunately, I fell into the bad and abusive practice of buying a car as is since at no time did that used car dealer in Raleigh inform about the correction and rust that is underneath the car. If they had said so, I would not buy the car since it cannot be fixed and at the Subaru dealer where I
... live, they told me that the car should not have been sold for use on the road due to the degree of correction and rust it presents. In September, when it did not pass the inspection, I came to find out about the situation of the poor condition underneath the car. It had a leaking muffler and they had to repair it so that the car could pass inspection. I present other situations; but the worst is the state of deterioration. BBB and Consumer Protective, I made complaints and nothing was the result; Because they offered through BBB a settlement at a supposedly low price (I did not accept because I did not trust the sale due to bad faith) and through Consumer Protection, they told me to go to court. I went to court because up to $10,000.00usd, they will see the case without legal assistance; I did not qualify because that dealer sold the car for more than $10,000.00usd. The government could veto the law on car sales as it is, because they abuse and continue selling risky cars and the problem falls on the buyer. Please!! I need a help in this situation. Thank you. I am writing to formally express my frustration and disappointment regarding ongoing issues with my vehicle, which I purchased new on [XXX]. However, I feel my concerns are not being taken seriously, and the vehicl
... e's persistent issues are being overlooked or dismissed. Background of the Issue: For over a month, I have been reporting significant electrical problems and other malfunctions with my vehicle. Each authorized dealer I approached assured me that nothing was wrong. To verify these claims, I sought a third-party diagnostic evaluation, which revealed two specific error codes—clear evidence of underlying issues. Details of Dealer Appointments: Appointment: November 25-26, 2024 I entrusted my vehicle to [Dealer Name], where it was kept for two days. Despite this, no diagnostic efforts or repairs were conducted, as confirmed by the service advisor, Erica Jones. Frustrated by the lack of action, I retrieved my vehicle on November 26, 2024. Second Appointment: December 2, 2024: I scheduled another appointment with the same dealer and dropped off my vehicle on December 1, 2024. To my dismay, the paperwork I received at the conclusion of this visit contained several discrepancies: The entry date was listed as November 25, 2024, with a promised completion date of December 2, 2024. This is incorrect, as I had my vehicle from November 26 to December 1, 2024. The mileage recorded at drop-off was less than the actual mileage on the vehicle at that time. The report stated that only one mile was driven during the diagnostic process, which is insufficient for evaluating my concerns thoroughly. While changing a dead battery, the vehicle's transmission control module (TCM) malfunctioned and caused the shift drum to shear off a piece of the aluminum casing inside the gearbox. DTC codes P2837 and P287B were present indicating a shift fork failure. The dual-clutch transmission (DPS6) lost access to reverse, 2nd gear and 4th and 6th gear, but was still able to shift into 1st, 3rd and 5th. Un
... der these conditions, there is the possibility that the sheared off piece of aluminum can enter the gear train and cause the transmission to seize, putting passengers life at risk. The problem is either that the aluminum casing is deficient, or, more likely, that the TCM software is flawed. The problem has been confirmed by the local Ford dealership, who took pictures of the damage, including the piece of aluminum. Judging from Internet search results for the DTCs, the problem is widespread and triggered by a low battery or weak (high impedance) ground condition in the TCM. No warning lights or low battery indications were shown prior to the incident.Read more

The inability to stop the vehicle safely was directly caused by this malfunction. I contacted General Motors (GM) in April 2024 to report the initial brake vacuum failure. The problem has been reproduced and confirmed by both a Ford dealer and an independent service center. Ford acknowledges this issue and that the water pump is prone to failure approximately every 100,000 miles. The repair costs amount to over $4,000. This exorbitant cost is due to the labor-intensive process required to access the water pump, owing to its placement within the engine cover. On [XXX], I discovered that the backup camera on my 2023 Chevy Colorado was malfunctioning. Regardless of whether I was operating the vehicle in reverse or manually activating the backup camera, it remained inoperable. On the same day, I made a reservation with my local Chevrolet dealership in Elko, Nevada, to have the backup camera inspected. I took the truck to the dealership on July 19 for a re

The dealership ordered the necessary part but was unable to provide an estimated time of arrival (ETA). As of December 1, despite my efforts to resolve the issue with both the dealership and GM’s corporate entity, I have yet to receive an ETA or any parts for repair. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), backup cameras are mandatory safety equipment for vehicles manufactured in 2018 and newer. I have brought this matter to the attention of GM and the dealership, but it appears to be unaddressed. The design of the truck makes it challenging to see behind, and the inability to perceive potential hazards in the rear poses a safety risk. GM has failed to address this issue, despite the fact that it is a critical safety feature. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

The main entry door is coming unlatched while driving down the highway. This condition has only worsened with time. With the latches in the locked condition, after stopping the main latch on the door has unfastened (not unlocked). The only part keeping the door closed is the deadbolt and the entry handrail. If this door was to fully open, the entry steps would then deploy and hit the highway whic
... h could result in the steps being torn away from the RV and placed into the path of any vehicle(s) that may be traveling beside/behind me. I believe that this is caused by what is becoming to be known as "Frame Flex" caused by the use of below standard manufacturing and the use of below standard materials. On the inside of the RV, there are signs that the walls have started to shift making items such as trim/cabinetry to fall or start to separate. There are also signs that there is metal to metal rubbing (chaffing) along the bottom of the walls leaving metal dust along the floor. I have tried to explain to the dealership and manufacture to no avail.Read more

Vehicle randomly dies while driving. Can happen at anytime and at any speed. No warning at all. Does not leave a check engine light so no code is recorded. Very dangerous. Otherwise vehicle runs well but is too dangerous to drive. All steering, acceleration, brakes, etc. are lost when it dies. Will immediately start back up if in park or neutral and foot on the brake. Again - DANGEROUS! This has b

To whom it may concern, How are you? The reason for me contacting you today is because I am really not happy with the false advertising that Honda has done to me. You see, I recently purchased a 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid Sport Touring because it was advertised on Honda's website (and still is) that the fuel tank capacity is 12.4 gallons. However, today when I went to fill up my new car for the f
... irst time after 346 miles, which I thought was quite strange since I should be getting over 400 miles if this was a 12.4 gallon tank, I only was able to put in 8.374 gallons after the fuel light came on. Why is this? If the car is rated to have a 12.4 gallon tank, then I should be able to put in closer to 12.4 gallons. Probably around 11 gallons because of the reserve. What I think happened is that someone screwed up and put the 12.4 gallon fuel tank capacity from the non-hybrid version of this vehicle instead of the hybrid one, which for the sedan is 10.6 gallons. Knowing this, I would never have purchased the vehicle. This is false advertisement! To the point, where I thought today I should have put more fuel into my vehicle even after the pump stopped because I should be near the 12.4 gallon capacity. I believe this is a safety issue/concerns if someone thinks this as well. So what do I do now in this situation?! I thought I was purchasing a vehicle with a 12.4 gallon capacity and now I know it's false. I have a screenshot of this, which is attached and also a screen recording also that I will be keeping for my records. Thank you, [XXX] .
