The driver's seat belt is locked and the retractor is not working without any reason. The front adaptive cruise control radar is also not working, along with the crucial blind spot sensor. Because of this, the vehicle cruise control (even without adaptive mode) is not working at all. This is a big safety issue and it is illegal to even drive this car without the seat belt working.

Although by 05/2023 that was the recommendation on the CSP for the dealership to do after previously failed bandaid fixes by Ford. My car will be going to the dealership on 12/9/24 to address my concerns and request all of my detailed service records. And really figure out why exactly the dealership didn’t complete ANYthing issued in the CSP especially when I was taking my car to the dealership for routine maintenance. I am within the 6 or 7 years and 84k miles or whatever it is now. The pearl white paint on my vehicle started to delaminate (confirmed by Wallace Kia Collision center). It started at approximately 24,000 miles, approximately 9 months past Kia's 3 year paint warranty. This is a known issue with the paint - pearl white, with many manufacturers affected. I found a section in the Owner's Manual which confirms this - shifting from Drive to Neutral while stationary requires the knob to be held to the left for a couple seconds; for some reason, doing this while moving requires only a tap (see attached photo of the owner's manual). This seems like a design issue - the unexpected loss of power from bumping the shift knob to the left (no forward or backward motion is needed) could easily result in an accident. I don't understand why they specifically created a system where a "push and hold" is not required to shift into neutral when the vehicle is moving. I reported this issue to corporate Lexus today. They said they will consider this feedback in subsequent model designs, but I wonder whether a recall is appropriate. That's why I'm reporting the issue to you, as well.Read more

I was able to maneuver myself off the main road and take it to a local mechanic who after scanning and checking was confused and suggested that it would most likely need an entire steering rack replacement. Still haven't gone to an Official Honda Dealership. I did not receive any warning from the vehicle when my power steering went out. Due to the faulty VSA module affecting the lights on my dashboard that included the one that would indicate faulty Power Steering. This is the first year of the model to incorporate ESA. NHSTA has had a open investigation into the faulty Power Steering but was eventually closed due to lack of reports. Many people have been reporting similar issues with this model and it has caused accidents and allegedly some deaths. At this current time there is no safety recall by Honda to fix either the Broken VSA Module or more importantly the Power Steering. VSA Modules have been recalled and replaced by Honda in different countries but not in the United States. The Faulty VSA Module puts drivers at risk by leaving the driver unaware of any potential issues with their vehicle until the problem already happens and leaves mechanics confused as to what the issue actually is. I implore NHTSA to take action against this very dangerous issue with both the loss of Power Steering and the VSA module with this year and model of Honda.Read more

It is still in the vehicle, which is available for inspection upon request. How Safety Was Put at Risk: The seatbelt failed to restrain my son, who was seated in a booster seat and weighs approximately 78 lbs. During the collision, he flew forward and struck the

However, the seatbelt remains fully extended and does not retract, indicating a potential defect. Inspections Conducted: The issue has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer or a service center. Police were present at the accident scene but did not specifically inspect the seatbelt. Warning Lamps or Messages: No warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms indicated a problem with the seatbelt prior to the collision. Best Assessment: Based on observations and my son’s account of the incident, it appears the seatbelt retractor mechanism failed to lock during the collision, which is a critical safety feature.
