5 times in the last 3 months the vehicle stalled while coming to a stop to put in park once, and 4 other times when the vehicle was off and parked, then started. The vehicle immediately began to stall out sounding as if it wasn't getting enough fuel. The last 2 times it stalled when being started, the vehicle remained on once I gave it a little gas by pressing the gas pedal when the stall started.

Tire pressure monitor sensor will not stay off. Car has been taken back to the dealer several times and they are unable to keep it off. Was told by the dealer service manager that "it's just a light" and that I "should be ok." Called Honda and submit a ticket for them to handle it with the dealership but the both of them are unable to get it resolved.

We took it into the dealer after the second incident and they claimed that a camera was just obstructed by ice, so the car probably thought it detected something in front of us so it stopped accelerating as a safety feature. To that, I said “but if the car thought there was something in front of us, it would have applied emergency braking, not just simply stopping any acceleration”… to which they replied “yeah I don’t know. Cars these days are just a giant rolling computer”. The dealer just could not replicate the issue, so they had no way of really seeing or diagnosing it, which I understand but still frustrating. They said they drove it 3 times but it didn’t happen. But again, it happens randomly (though cold weather seems to be a common factor). When I returned home I saw the tranny leak on garage floor. A large reddish pink puddle. It's been in the shop since Monday. The Service department is trying to find parts to repair it. According to them they won't be available from GM until February 28th, unless they find it elsewhere. According to them it needs two bolts that are backing out of pump causing it to leak. Cars been in the shop now 11 days and counting. This is a big safety concern that needs to be made aware of to the public. People are purchasing this vehicle without knowing there's possible issues with the transmission. There definitely needs to be a recall on this transmission until they figure which ones are affected by this problem.Read more

Where to begin. I bought the vehicle brand new with 29 miles on it in April of 2017, January of 2019 I started having issues. My check engine light kept coming on and it affected my gas mileage and speed. I had stopped at a chevy dealership in Forest Lake Minnesota and had them scan the vehicle to see what was going on and made an appointment to bring it back in for a full diagnostics. I get there

First off, I hadn't agreed to anything yet, I still did not even know what was wrong with it yet. They ended up doing what they said was a full diagnostic on the vehicle (which cost me almost $200) came back to me and started off by telling me that I bought a "warm weather" vehicle and it in fact was my turbo that was going out. They stated that what was happening was it would freeze and what needed to be done was some sort of heating element needed to be installed, and this was going to cost me $2500 plus labor. I was out of warranty but still had my drivetrain warranty ( at this time I had forgotten I had purchased the extended warranty) I was told it wouldn't cover it. I was irate and left, was contacted a few days later by my normal dealership to replace a valve (special service) had that done, found out that the real issue was an oil and air leak. Now to fast forward to 2021- I fixed the oil and air leak 3 more times before replacing the intake cover from plastic to aluminum. Engine is still leaking oil like crazy though. That is only one piece of my issues, I keep getting a code (since 2021) P0420 which reads that it's my catalysts- since I was out of warranty I needed to wait until I could afford to do this, plus we needed to figure out which or both.. then I received the letter stating that there are issues with the turbo. Of course, I am out of warranty, now over 120k and the POS is costing me a fortune! If I had more space I could go on with my issues.Read more

01/21/25 While driving on Interstate 64 at posted 70 mph suddenly experienced a complete shuddering of the vehicle. I was able to maintain forward direction with speed. I got down on the pavement and viewed the undercarriage and no loose parts were observed. Decided to drive it if possible. Vehicle started up fine and then accelerating to speed limit pulled up existing tire pressure and they were 36-37 psi. About 15 miles later now on I69 experienced the same sudden intense “shuddering “ of the vehicle. This time I braked quickly and let off the gas peddle and the wobble stopped. Immediately continued to Evansville Jeep dealer , reported the issue. They could not examine the vehicle immediately and though I expressed concern about driving the vehicle 50 miles back home I was told no loaner car available. I did make an appointment for 01/23/25 the earliest opening. The person handling the issue evidently discussed the issue with a technician and came back and stated it was a common Jeep issue and may need a “damper “ or repair to a damper. When asked if my extended warranty would cover the repair he wasn’t sure though I have less than 60XXX miles and purchased May 2021 with 100,000 miles extended warranty. I told we have a major trip planned soon and have concerns.Read more

On a day which had a high temperature of 16F our Kia Carnival Hybrid SXP, after not being used most of the day, when driving would not exceed 31 miles per hour. The engine would not rev loudly or give any indication of an error but would not go over 31 mph even with the gas pedal fully depressed. On July 21st, 2024, the electronic parking brake on our 2021 Acura RDX seized and would not release. The vehicle had not sustained any damage and only had 63,270 miles on the odometer. ... . An Acura dealer replaced the gear unit motor that actuates the parking brake but the brake did not disengage as per the repair invoice attached. It was determined the parking brake switch circuit connection did not match specs and the parking brake switch was replaced. The parking brake worked at the time we retrieved the vehicle from the dealership but currently do not engage the brake as we are unsure if this will fail again. This issue put us and owners of like vehicles in danger due to the fact that a simple switch malfunction seizes the rear brakes of the car. Fortunately the vehicle was in our garage at the time but if failure occurs at speed, rear locked brake(s) could no doubt lead to a serious crash. At best, a parked disabled vehicle leads to very costly inconvenience as it did for us. Whether a failed switch or a poor connection my concern is the problem replicates while in motion while driving and losing control of the vehicle. From internet searches it appears failed switches are a growing problem with Honda vehicles equipped with electronic parking brakes. There exists no override ability to disengage the parking brake apart from the electronic switch. Again, an otherwise functioning vehicle can be disabled as the rear wheel(s) are seized.Read more
