What component or system failed, and is it available for inspection upon request? The following component failures occurred in my 2020 Jaguar F-PACE (VIN [XXX] ): Electrical System – Driver-side wiring harness short circuits near the footwell, disabling door locks/window controls. Cooling System – Bleed pipe and expansion tank coolant leaks triggering low-fluid warnings. Battery System – Ene
... rgy control module failure causing recurrent low-battery alerts. Braking System – Front/rear linings worn to 3mm/2mm, below SAE J866 safety thresholds. The vehicle remains available for NHTSA inspection at your request. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Electrical: Exposed wiring poses fire hazards (violating FMVSS 305), while inoperative door controls risk occupant entrapment (FMVSS 208). Brakes: Worn linings impair stopping distances (FMVSS 135), increasing collision risks. Cooling: Repeated coolant loss risks sudden engine overheating and highway breakdowns. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Jaguar-certified technicians at authorized dealerships confirmed the electrical, cooling, and battery failures during repairs in October-November 2024. The brake wear was documented but deemed "within tolerance" despite sub-spec measurements. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others? Only Jaguar’s manufacturer-authorized dealers inspected the vehicle. No police, insurance, or third-party assessments occurred. Were there any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Yes, the issues were preceded by multiple warning messages, including "low battery charge" warnings related to the electrical system, a low coolant warning due to the cooling system failure, and an SOS system limited notification. This doesn’t feel like the appropriate place for my concern; however, a representative from your Recalls Helpdesk directed me here, so I am filling out this form. I never did receive word of that recall, but found it online when I needed to sell a c
... ar my fiancé inherited. I have tried extensively to get in touch with BMW for an update on this recall, as your website and all of the information I could glean from their website says they do not currently have a fix. This is getting to be really frustrating month after month as I need to sell the car my fiancé inherited and we are just having to wait while it depreciates month after month in our garage, not driving it because we don’t know if it’s safe to drive and even if it is, no one will buy a car that has a recall on it. Especially a recall that doesn’t have a fix, hasn’t had a fix for nearly 6 months, and doesn’t appear to be getting a fix that’s in anyway reasonable or available to owners of this car. BMW has been giving us the runaround and I’m starting to get really frustrated because they don’t appear to care that owners of this very expensive vehicle that’s otherwise in impeccable condition and nearly new have no recourse for months on in and no transportation in the meantime. I am reaching out, hoping that someone on your team can help me or at least point me in the right direction. Thanks so much for any guidance or expertise you can offer in advance.Read more

The senior mechanic (Nissan Corp) and the mechanic at the dealer provided reasons like a piece of lint could be on the lenses (not while driving 55mph), could be sunlight blocking the sensor (what about at night), or the lenses could be dirty (maybe but not really). In early March 2024 we received the recall notice for our Toyota RAV4 LE because the OCS (air bag sensor) on passenger seat were found to possibly be faulty. I have called the dealer and Toyota's customer service hotline about once a month with no response given that a remedy is available as yet. What is the problem with Toyota taking so long to provide a remedy for this faulty sensor. We are two

We have absolutely no complaints about the vehicle other than we cannot go anywhere together because no one can sit in the front seat without being a safety hazard. Yes, we could use the back seat but would you like to have to do that? This is very frustrating as a consumer to have purchased a vehicle and we cannot use it or choose not to because of the Toyota recall. Is there any way the government can put some pressure on Toyota to hurry up and get a remedy/replacement parts for the problem. Or have the dealer voluntarily check to see if the current OCS might happened to not be faulty. We would greatly appreciate any intervention or assistance you could provide. I am submitting this report to alert the NHTSA of potential safety violations and undisclosed structural damage, drivetrain modifications, and possible engine replacement regarding my 2021 RAM 1500, which was purchased from Courtesy Chevrolet after being previously owned by Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Unreported Frame Damage & Structural Repairs Multiple inconsistent and unseen frame welds were disco
... vered, indicating prior accident damage and unreported frame repair. Frame welds do not match factory precision welding, suggesting post-factory reinforcement or structural fixes. Undisclosed Transmission Swap from 8-Speed to 6-Speed According to NHTSA records and the vehicle’s VIN, my RAM 1500 was manufactured with an 8-speed transmission. After purchase, I discovered that the 8-speed had been swapped for an older 6-speed transmission (6HP70), which was never disclosed. This creates potential drivability and safety concerns, as the truck’s ECU may not be calibrated for the correct transmission. Possible Undisclosed Engine Swap The engine in my truck has multiple ink and paint markings, which are commonly seen on replacement engines. RFID engine label does not provide a matching serial number, making it difficult to confirm if the engine is original. The casting number on the engine sticker is inconsistent with the vehicle’s model year and VIN (2021), raising concerns that it may be from an older model. Engine mount bolts and wiring appear disturbed, suggesting prior removal and reinstallation. If my truck has an older or higher-mileage engine, this impacts performance, emissions compliance, warranty status, and safety. Lack of Maintenance Records & Vehicle History TransparencyRead more

... ot exit the vehicle in fear of it rolling back into traffic. I called 911 to explain the situation. After 20 more minutes I engaged/disengaged the parking brake several times and it finally held. I still would not leave the vehicle because I could not trust it at that point. Another 20 minutes passed and a road ranger arrived and placed a wooden block behind the wheel and at that point I felt comfortable to get out of the car. I was told by Kia service the issue was related to recall SA553A but I was never notified. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

In early 2021, the doorhandle on the driver's side of my car froze in minimal snow/freezing rain. The electronics in the doorhandle were corrupted, and broke. This cause a short in the system, making my car lock and unlock itself uncontrolled, thereby draining the battery. The car could not be jumpstarted for this reason because the battery was perpetually drained. It required being towed, and the
... remedy took several months. This is completely unreasonable, for a small freeze to totally "brick" an off-road vehicle because of a doorhandle issue.Read more

The 12-volt battery for the vehicle was depleted, so the vehicle had to be jump-started to run. I work for a repair facility (it was here for collision repairs, as far as I know unrelated to this issue) and since I was unfamiliar with the vehicle, I inadvertently turned it off before shifting into park. When I took my foot off the brake, the vehicle began to roll forward. I am not sure if the ve
... hicle was in park, neutral, or even reverse (the gear I was in when I turned the vehicle off), but whatever gear it was, the vehicle kept rolling after it was turned off. I tried turning the vehicle back on to shift to park, but was unable to do so due to the depleted 12-volt battery. I tried hitting the park button anyway, and this did nothing. I then tried to engage the electronic parking brake, but this was also inoperative due to the lack of power. With each attempt, I tried briefly taking my foot off the brake, but each time it continued to roll forward. I then called my manager and asked him to jump start the vehicle so I could put it in park and engage the parking brake. No damage was done in this incident, nor was anyone hurt, but this lack of fail-safes to prevent the vehicle from moving after a loss of power is a significant design flaw and safety hazard. If I had not noticed the issue in time and gotten out, the vehicle could have rolled away and caused property damage or bodily injury to me or a bystander. To my knowledge, this is the only such incident with this vehicle, and I do not know whether it is specific to this particular vehicle or replicable in others of the same year make and model. There were no warning lights.Read more

The truck's frame has severely rusted. The frame has deteriorated. It is unsafe to drive as the frame is breaking in half. According to Toyota, this was a huge problem with the 2006 Tacoma. They will not fix the frame or offer any solution. My son can not safely drive this vehicle.
