We had another certified mechanic take a look at problem area that's when he also concluded that the motors extension rod broke thru causing engine failure admitting that engine is damaged and would need to be replaced. We thought this might be part of a recall we checked on (23V751000) that stated due to manufacturer error the connecting rod bearing in the engine may wear and seize damaging the engine, when I read this I had my pilot towed now to Honda service center where they claimed that my pilot had no known recalls and that I would have to pay out of pocket 10 k to repair because there was now a large hole in my engine.Originally I was told it would cost me about $200 to have them take a look at what was wrong with my car, but When I asked what the bill was for the inspection they said it was zero dollars because (without telling me first)they changed out the push start button,and that there wound be no charge. When I asked why they changed it out when I had already done 2 yrs ago myself and was reimbursed by Honda already. Honda service technician than proceeded to show me a photo that was taken of a large hole in my engine, telling me they had no idea why, and advised me my motor would have to be replaced. Using fluid that is rated for below freezing also causes this to freeze, suggesting that it may be related to wind chill while traveling at speed. It's also definitely not an issue with the overall system or the fluid because the rear windshield wipers still work. This is probably due to the way they designed this to move the emitters off the hood. A search for the term, "mazda cx-9 windshield wiper frozen", shows many such reports online. However, my year car (2019) was not included in this recall. But as you can see, it should have been. On Friday, February 14. 2025 at approximately 9:05 am I was leaving a parking lot to make a right hand turn on to a busy three lane road. Since this issue with the brakes has occurred three times previously I make it a point to drive no more than 10 mph in parking lots. ... d the brake pedal well in advance of the patch of ice and once the tires contacted the ice, the brake pedal pulsated harshly causing my vehicle to shake. This situation caused me to be unable to stop at the sign and I almost got broadsided. This is the third complaint I’ve filed regarding this matter. This is the fourth occurrence of the brakes acting in an abnormal manner (since June 2024) and whatever is occurring is terrifying. The dealership claimed it couldn’t replicate the issue and no warming sounds or lights appeared on my dashboard. I fear for my life, my spouse and children’s lives, as well as pedestrians, bicyclists and motorists. Someone is going to get seriously injured or potentially killed because of this issue, therefore, I have to petition the agency to look into this matter in depth and hopefully open an investigation.Read more

My car has a start and stop problem and the dealer reprogram the ecm but it didn't work got back on the road and almost got hit twice bc my car went into limp mode. And they won't fix up unless I pay even know it's a recall and my drive shaft has a recall but they said that was close out

Vehicle has been experiencing intermittent instances of non movement when gas pedal has been pushed. This has come about sporadically and only been rectified only when vehicle driver has repeated action of "pumping" the gas pedal. In this instances, the situation has put driver and occupants at risk as it happens without warning, not allowing vehicle to drive when cars are fast approaching. Driver
... will attempt to move from a stopped position to drive and car has not moved. More so, we have a slight incline from our drive way, leading on to a VERY busy road that reaches speeds of 50+ mph. There has been instances where we have attempted to enter the road way from the driveway with approaching vehicles, very far away. Once break pedal was released, the car (due to being on a minimal incline) has begun to roll into the roadway. Driver then proceeds to press the gas pedal down to initiate movement, but vehicle does not move, driver repeats action and car begins to slowly move creating near dangerous heart pounding scenarios where the approaching vehicles that were very very far away when deciding to enter roadway to slamming on their breaks to avoid collision. Vehicle then began displaying an EMISSION SYSTEM PROBLEM warning on dashboard. This prompted us to take it to an independent mechanic. Mechanic read the code and right away suggested we contact the dealer, as this is a "known issue" for Honda and the Odysseys and the faulty fuel injectors causing the dashboard light and vehicle not to move when gas pedal is initiated. Local Honda dealership requested vehicle be brought in for diagnostic. We paid $185 to learn what we already knew. Honda has issued an extended warranty on 2018-2019 Honda Odysseys for fuel injector issues but only to certain VIN #s. Upon researching in online forums, many customers with affected year Odysseys are being denied warranty extension due to VIN #s not qualifying. The Alternator/MGU has failed. There was a mild whuring noise at first. Within a few days, the truck died at a stop light and would no longer start or go into neutral. I got two warnings, one the day before the failure saying "Battery saver activated", then right before the truck died, I got this again and the alternator light lit up on the dash. The truck is being towed to a dealership now, after the shop we were towed to told us they wouldn't be able to repair the truck due to lack of parts. I'm being told there are massive backorders for the part and it could be months before my vehicle is returned. Reading many reports of this happening to others with the RAM etorque engine. This should be recalled and remedied before it causes someone to be hurt.Read more
