This is a major defect that we (and others) should get help or compensation for. We are not going to spend 8K to fix. Today's diagnosis cost us $325 plus the $700 tune up a month ago. To the New York City Department of Transportation (DOT): I picked up a new car on January 11, and on January 28, I discovered a 10-inch crack on the inside of the front windshield. On February 1, I took the vehicle to a Nissan service center for inspection, and they confirmed the presence of another crack. As a vehicle manufacturer, Nissan should have the professional equipment necessary to insp
... ect the windshield for cracks. However, since I filed my complaint with Nissan on February 1, it has now been over 20 days, and I have yet to receive any resolution or formal response. I cannot help but wonder—is Nissan intentionally delaying this matter to avoid responsibility? If Nissan does not have the proper inspection equipment, I propose that the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (NYSDMV) conduct an official inspection to determine the facts. Additionally, on the morning after I picked up the car on January 11 I found that the windshield washer fluid was not spraying. Upon checking, I discovered that the washer fluid reservoir was completely frozen. When I reported this issue to the Nissan sales staff, I was told, “Nissan’s washer fluid is like this—it will work once the car warms up.” This response is unacceptable. Is this really the standard for delivering a new Nissan vehicle? I am filing this complaint with DOT today because I am deeply concerned about the safety risks posed by the cracked windshield. In addition to the initial crack, I have now discovered another crack about 2 inches long near the first one. If this issue is not resolved promptly, it could pose a serious safety hazard. I urge DOT to take this matter seriously and push Nissan to take immediate action to address this issue and ensure consumer safety, preventing any potential accidents. I appreciate DOT’s attention to this matter and look forward to your response. Thank you.Read more

While driving my 2025 Kia Sorento on the highway, I noticed a coolant leak and an overheating warning. I immediately pulled over, and the vehicle was towed to a Kia dealership for inspection. After diagnosing the issue, the dealership claimed that small pebbles had damaged the radiator, leading to the coolant leak. They stated that this was considered an accident, not a defect, and therefore was n
... ot covered under warranty. Why This is a Concern: After researching online, I discovered that many other Kia owners are experiencing the same issue, suggesting that the radiator may be vulnerable to road debris due to poor design or insufficient protection. A radiator should be durable enough to withstand normal highway driving conditions. A failure like this could cause engine overheating and sudden breakdowns, posing a serious safety risk to drivers and passengers. Request for Investigation: Since this issue is affecting multiple Kia Sorento owners, I believe it should be investigated as a possible design flaw. If the radiator is too fragile to handle everyday road debris, Kia should issue a recall or Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) to address the defect and ensure driver safety.Read more

I am writing to report a series of alarming incidents involving my 2025 Cadillac, purchased on December 2, 2024. Within three months of ownership, I have experienced three separate occurrences that have caused me significant concern and physical distress. 1 Approximately two weeks after purchasing the vehicle, I was stopped at a red light. When the light turned green, I pressed the Pedal. Wi
... thin three- 4 seconds, I felt a sudden impact from the rear, as if I had been rear-ended. However, upon inspection, there was no visible damage to my car, and the vehicle behind me was approximately 10 feet away. This incident was both confusing and distressing. 2 On a separate occasion, under similar circumstances, I was stationary at a red light. Upon the light turning green, I began to accelerate and once again experienced a sudden, forceful jolt from the rear. No vehicle was in close proximity behind me, yet the sensation was akin to a severe rear-end collision. The jolt was significant enough to cause me considerable alarm. 3 The most recent and concerning event occurred on the evening of February 24, 2025, around 8:00 PM. I was reversing out of a parking spot at a supermarket. Within seconds of shifting into reverse and beginning to back up, I felt an intense impact, as though a vehicle traveling at high speed had collided with the rear of my car. The force was so substantial that I was convinced a serious accident had occurred. However, upon exiting the vehicle, I found no other cars in the vicinity and no visible damage to my vehicle. Medical Following these incidents, I began experiencing severe neck pain. The discomfort persisted and intensified over the course of a week. On the morning of February 25, 2025, I sought medical attention due to the escalating pain. At the hospital, XR cervical spine was performed, and I have been advised to pursue follow-up consultations with specialists. There needs to be an investigation into these Occurrences.Read more

I have some major safety concerns with my 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee, specifically with the AEB. Today was the SECOND time that my automatic emergency braking came on while I’m driving down the highway at 60 mph. The first time was in November. The roads were dry, no other cars coming toward me, driving on a straight stretch, with one car a safe distance behind. My jeep went from 60 to 0 slamming
... on the brakes so hard and flashing the AEB lights and dinging on the dash. Seat belts locked up tight and gave you a hard fast whip lash forward. Very terrifying like what is even happening?! The car behind me thank goodness had enough time to slam on their brakes and not rear end me! As fast as you could even comprehend what was happening, the lights and dinging stop and you can drive again. I was like maybe a leaf or something blew over the sensor and kind of wrote it off because nothing came up on my Jeep app. Fast forward to today, February 25th. Again roads are dry, no one is coming towards me, driving 60 mph in a straight stretch and wham the auto emergency brakes slam on again! Hard brake from 60-0 mph. AEB lights flashing and dinging, locking seat belts and whiplashing your head forward as you screech to an uncontrolled stop. I had absolutely no control over my brakes or gas! This time I’m livid bc my children were in the car with me! Thank goodness everyone was properly wearing seatbelts and in car seats, and I had both hands on the steering wheel, and it was not on a bend in the road because this could have been very dangerous and not ended well! This is NOT ok and there is nothing at all that blocked a sensor or would have had any reason to cause the Jeep to engage this feature. I should not have to be afraid to drive my Jeep and now it’s literally terrifying to drive it bc you never know if it’s going to happen. It needs addressed and fixed ASAP and all Jeep owners should be made aware of this very dangerous situation!Read more

On October 10th 2024, my 2015 Kia Optima caught fire while I was driving. The fire originated from the engine compartment, completely engulfing the vehicle in flames within minutes. Component/System Failure: The exact cause of the fire is unknown, but Kia had previously issued a recall for this model due to an engine defect that posed a fire risk. The vehicle is no longer available for inspection
... as it was completely destroyed in the fire. However, I have multiple videos documenting the incident, including footage of the fire and the aftermath. Safety Risk: My safety and the safety of others were severely compromised. The fire started suddenly while I was driving, forcing me to evacuate the vehicle immediately. If I hadn’t reacted quickly, I could have suffered serious injuries or worse. Additionally, the fire posed a danger to other drivers and pedestrians nearby. Reproduction/Confirmation: The issue has not been reproduced, but it aligns with the recall Kia issued for this model. Prior to the fire, I attempted to schedule an appointment with Kia to address the recall, but I never received confirmation, and no inspection was performed. Inspections: After the incident, I contacted Kia, and they sent an investigator to inspect the remains of the vehicle. No police or insurance representatives conducted an independent inspection. Warning Signs: There were no warning lights, messages, or obvious signs of a problem immediately before the fire. However, I had previously noticed a recall related to fire risk for my specific model and attempted to schedule an appointment with Kia, but they never responded. Given Kia’s history of engine fire recalls, I strongly believe this incident is related to the known defects in this vehicle model.Read more
