The touchscreen dedicates 2/5th of the screen to what they call "traffic visualization" which is the car depicting where the surrounding vehicles, traffic lights, etc. are. While this display is useful for the self driving software engineers to compare what the car is seeing vs. the actual traffic near it, for the actual driver this display is nothing more than a VERY DISTRACTING VIDEO GAME! w

In fact it can be expanded to cover the entire touchscreen....even MORE distracting! The visualization changes to a vertical view when parking to display other vehicles and parking lines which IS useful, but during driving the traffic visualization is the same as watching a movie on the touchscreen.....and I believe NOT allowed both by Tesla and NHTSA. Please have Tesla remove the dangerous traffic visualization display while moving more than say 10mph so I can be used for parking, but not for anything else. I am not sure why Tesla wastes so much of the limited touchscreen space on a useless safety distraction when their are other items that can be displayed in that screen space most drivers would appreciate. Most Tesla models only have the one screen compared to other brands that now feature 2 or more that seem to be appreciated by buyers so when Tesla complains about removing it, remind them of this point!!Read more

When turning, accelerating and/or decelerating I hear a clicking sound coming from the rear of my car. My initial determination is the infamous cv joint/axle clicking sound. The next day i was on my way to purchase the replacement tire when the tire blew out. I was on a heavily traffic road [XXX] . I managed to take control of truck doing about 40 mph at the time and drove it off the road to a safer spot to look at damage. Well the passenger rear tire witch was originally on the front that had the separated radial blew a chunk out of the inner sidewall. I put on the spare and went and replaced the tire with another goodyear new tire. On march 28 as i was coming home from [XXX] late at night the driver side rear tire blew as well again had to put on spare and next day took to local mechanics in [XXX] , and checked tire and again i was told that the tire separated from radial and that was the cause of blew out, they inspected all the tires at this point since this was the second tire from the same DOT set with less then 12000 miles that had separated. Well they found a third tire that had aldo separated and had a flat spot on driver side front tire, now there are 3 tires from the same set, coincidence, i dont think so i replaced the second and third tire. One the third day April 1, 2026 the passenger side front tire blew as well, now i have 4 tires that had radial separation with less then 12000 miles and less then a year old, in a mater of a month. My vehicle has an open PTU recall and when driving down the road my vehicle completely lost power was unable to drive or put vehicle in park in the middle of a turn which resulted in on coming traffic coming towards my vehicle. There were no injuries thankfully. My car was towed to the Jeep dealership in Anchorage, AK to have the PTU recall done as that was the suspected reasoning of the failure.
... After weeks of back and forth I was told the transmission was damaged and needed replaced and the PTU recall was not able to be done due to the recall instructions. I was quoted 8-12 thousand dollars in repairs which was unrealistic to me. I then had vehicle towed to an auto body shop that could replace the transmission for a lesser price. Once at the auto shop they discovered there was a complete PTU failure which caused the transmission damage and told me to take it back to the dealership for repairs to be covered under the recall. The dealership submitted the information and I was denied the recall and repairs. The dealership informed me I would have to pay for a new transmission out of pocket. However once I had the new transmission testing the PTU recall could damage and that I also need to pay out of pocket for the PTU. I shut the power off an powered up twice thinking that might reset the sensors; but they continued to fail. As I continued to drive there was limited power to the throttle, and I eventually coasted through a red light and into my work parking lot where the vehicle shut down entirely, and eventually fully locked up (couldn't start or event put in neutral to push). I had the vehicle towed to back to the dealer, and they diagnosed the problem as a failed transmission cooler. Of note, I had purchased the vehicle brand new less than 3 weeks before this incident and the vehicle had less than 600 total miles on it. Dealer found misfire codes (P0300, P0302, P0303), performed a hard battery reset and steering angle relearn, and conducted a 30-mile test drive. Vehicle was released as repaired. Invoice #XXX. Incident 3 — April 24, 2026 (current) Following the second dealer visit, vehicle was driven approximately 90 miles from [XXX] to [XXX] without incident. Purchased new all four tires (P 285 / 45 R 21 113V XL) in Dec, 2025 after confirming fits my vehicle. Warranty 60,000 miles. About 4 months later and about 1,800 miles of use, both rear tires have lost most of their tread and steel belts are showing per auto dealer. Front tires have also los quite a bit of tread.
