To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to inform you of a recurring issue I am experiencing with the power steering in my 2022 Model X Plaid. This problem began on [XXX] and has progressively worsened. Initially, the power steering would function normally for approximately 30 minutes of driving. It would work fine when starting in the morning or when the car was cool. However, after driving about
... 15 miles, the power steering would completely fail, and a warning message would appear indicating that extra effort was required. Recently, the power steering now fails every time I drive. Based on my research, this appears to be a common problem with Tesla vehicles, and I understand a recall has been issued for some model years, although not for the year of my vehicle. I intend to have this issue addressed and repaired through Tesla service. However, I wanted to make you aware of this problem as it seems to be a known issue that is now affecting my 2022 X Plaid as well. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I believe this is a safety issue that warrants a recall notice since the seat restraint system may not work correctly due to an electrical connection issue. I get an error message "Front left safety restraint system fault" that comes comes and goes depending on the position of the driver seat - if I raise the seat I get the fault message, if I lower the seat the message goes away. This is clearly
... due to a loose electrical connection in the seat restraint system. I removed the cover at the side of the seat and have identified a loose yellow/orange plastic connector to the left of the seat (see picture). When you jiggle that connector the error message goes on and off. Tesla will fix the issue for $650, but I believe this is a faulty design issue that causes the connector to get worn every time you adjust the seat, and it should be fixed by Tesla at no charge.Read more

I have taken it in due to engine mounts 4 different times, transmission replaced and in October 2024 I took it in for issues I was experiencing like I had before my transmission went out. I did not get my truck back until almost Dec 2024 and that was due to there employee backing into the front end of my truck. We parked and then we started to try to make it home very slowly which we did and it was not making to much noise. The next day I called GMC and explained they said bring it in. I towed it there to be safe but it did start and still ran at very slow speed. They called me and said that the lift side rockers/ lifters 1 failed and it was stuck due to a misfire and that the engine would need to be rebuilt and sent me over some very vague break down which looked like a lump sum price. I requested and better break down and got a screen shoot and that when he said that’s the best they can do. There were no engine lights on or warnings nothing at all. It also just got serviced at GMC for an oil change on February 27th 2025 along with some air filters. Today is April 29th and still waiting for the service manage to call and see if they can do anything to help out instead of charging full price. I purchased a MagnaFlow aftermarket catalytic converter system for my 2008 GMC Yukon SLT 5.3L through Walmart’s online marketplace, sold by a third-party vendor called OurDealsRock. The product was advertised as “50-state legal” and compatible with vehicles registered in New York State. However, shortly after installation, my check engine light turned on, and diagnostic codes P0420 and P0430
... (Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold) appeared. Initially, I thought this was a minor sensor issue, but over time, the vehicle’s performance gradually deteriorated. I noticed reduced acceleration, poor fuel economy, and eventually significant loss of power. The vehicle began shaking under load, misfiring, and overheating. These symptoms worsened steadily—not immediately—but progressively after continued driving with the aftermarket converter installed. I had the vehicle inspected by a certified mechanic, who confirmed that the MagnaFlow converter was not CARB-compliant, was not approved for use in New York, and that it had been illegally marketed as such. He also informed me that prolonged use of a non-compliant, malfunctioning converter caused excessive backpressure, leading to complete engine failure over time. The diagnosis was confirmed by a second mechanic before I committed to the engine replacement. The product was later removed from Walmart’s site, becoming unavailable for sale in my zip code [XXX] ) shortly after my initial complaint. This shows clear acknowledgment that it should never have been sold to a New York consumer in the first place. But by the time it was taken down, the damage had already been done. Component/system that failed: •MagnaFlow aftermarket catalytic converter system •Ultimately caused failure of the vehicle’s engine block Safety concerns: •My family and I were unknowingly driving with a damaged and failing engine •The vehicle’s degraded performance, overheating, and power loss could have compromised our safety during highway d INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMRead more

In June 2023 My 2016 Acura TLX was diagnosed as an issue with the lower rod bearing by my mechanic and confirmed by Fisher Acura to have a lower engine bearing problem. January 2024 the recall was issued for my TLX rod bearing, after I had replaced the engine. I have filed a claim with Honda for the reimbursement cost of replacing my engine but Honda is denying my claim for the reason I did not
... have the bottom of the engine disassembled by Honda service dept. to identify the problem. This would have been at my own expense, because the recall had not been issued yet. I followed Fisher Acura's recommendation and worked with my mechanic instead. I followed my mechanic's recommendation and decided to spend money to replace the engine rather than spend money rebuilding the engine which would have been much more expensive. I followed all the right steps before Honda issued a protocol to follow. I had to fix my car, before they even knew what the fix was. I am writing to you today asking for your help, please. Honda corp. is not helping me at all and I believe they owe me money for the cost of the engine I had to replace. Honda has not helped and in fact been very unhelpful and difficult to work with. I paid $4500 for a used engine and install, $400 for Fisher Acura to diagnose and a couple of tow charges totaling $150. $5050 is what I am hoping to recuperate due to this recall. Logan from Honda Corp. is my case manager (Case #[XXX]). After careful assessment I proceeded to get myself and child home but on the way the car started stumbling and there was a strong Oder of gas. A check engine Illuminated giving us an error code referencing our solenoid that works in pair with our fuel system. After checking the car and going inside for about two hours, my husband came to me and asked what happened to the backseat as the entire thing had been pulled up and underneath it was a very pressurized and round fuel system. I proceeded to call the car dealership service department and told them the codes and everything I was showing and what was happening and asked when I could get the car to them, and if it was safe to ride, they said if it’s still ran to go smoothly to the dealership which was a 10 minute drive. As directed by the dealership I brought the car for service and I also located a voluntary emissions report that Kia issued in April of 2024 along with a copy of letters said to be sent to each owner of my make and model. I never received these letters and update not completed. Ford Edge has a major issue with their drive system pertaining primary to the power train/Transmissions/torque converter. We have had my wife's 2019 Ford Edge at the dealership 6 time for numerous attempts to resolve this issue. It will be going back again this week for trip number 7. ... Sport with approximately 101k miles. Purchased in November 2021, this is the first time there’s ever been a problem and my car is maintained regularly. The car was towed to a local mechanic and I was told there was a misfire on cylinder 3, the valve spring is broken, the valve is bent, and the timing chain is loose. I was told I need a new engine. I don’t understand what happened because there was no warning or indication that anything was wrong. The safety concern is that the car died while driving on the highway and the vibration and jerking was scary trying to control the car while traveling at high speeds. I called Honda directly and I was told that my vin isn’t included in any recalls so there’s nothing they can do to help. I know there was a service bulletin in 2019 for the cam chain tensioner but I don’t know if this car was serviced since I bought it in 2021. The customer service rep said there was nothing they could do to help after confirming that my vin wasn’t included in any of the recalls. I had the car towed to a Honda dealership earlier this week for a deeper look into how and why this happened and the tech said the engine suffered a catastrophic failure.
