My dog in the rear compartment and in her kennel was also forcefully thrown. This vehicle has had on going battery issues and many others as well. This is not the first report I have filed. Vehicle has been at the dealership for one week, I had to insist upon a loaner which they could not provide. Jeep has a program for a comparable vehicle which they set up and which has not provided a comparable auto. I have had no word from the dealership as to repair and issue found. The ongoing safety issues with this vehicle and it's battery system are totoally unacceptable for me. The jeep has spent 3.5 months from 10/14-mid 01/15 parked due to fire or explosion possibility. It has been in the shop repeatedly for up to two weeks at a time with heating and cooling issues. This latest is just another in a long stream of problems unaddressed proprerly by the Jeep corporation. They have refused every single time. I was told that the warranty did not apply to my vehicle, then that the parts were on a major backorder, and that I should leave my car with them for an undisclosed period of time. This is not feasible, as I have 2 jobs and a child. Within the last few months, my transmission has started doing the same thing as well as overheating. I am going through coolant much faster than I should. As the issue gets worse, Ford has been of no assistance. Despite my efforts to have the recall work done as legally required, I have been turned away and am now past the 10 year/150k mile replacement warranty. I had brought it in before it ever reached that point. I am terrified to take my child to school or make it to work. My vehicle stalled on the interstate last night and I almost lost my life. Called Honda, they don't care to address ANY vehicles with this KNOWN paint defect any longer. This has required the driver to shift the transmission to park to allow the engine to restart, once this did not work requiring a jump start in the middle of a busy intersection. ... that a battery replacement was need, which was done, but a new battery has had no effect on the auto start/stop issue. The engine continues to struggle to restart when the AIS system is engaged. The vehicle headlights can be seen flickering when the engine struggles to restart. This is an extremely dangerous defect that puts the occupants of the vehicle in repeatedly dangerous situations. For example when AIS is engaged and making a turn into oncoming traffic, the vehicle will be stuck and inoperable in on coming traffic’s lane.
