The windshield was replaced due to a crack from road debris. It was replaced with a Fuyoa 43R-0117043; DOT1038M544AS1. The car has head up display. The new windshield is highly reflective when driving during sunny day, and the head up display equipment is reflecting on the windshield in the middle of driver's view and very distracting. The service rep checked with BMW engineers who reported this is an issue they are receiving more reports about but the rep said there is nothing BMW will do in response to this safety complaint. He indicated the windshield is OEM and to specifications. There are no warning lamps or messages related to the new windshield, only this driver's observation of negative change in view while driving. There was a knocking noise from the engine. I took it in for repairs and I was told that it is due to an abnormally worn rod bearing. I looked into this problem and found that there is an open investigation for the Honda Pilot 3.5L V-6 and abnormally worn rod bearings leading to possible engine failure. I mentioned this to the Honda dealership and he informed me that it does apply to my vehicle be
... cause there is not a recall on my vehicle. The gentleman in the service department is now denying that he said that the rods are worn, but now he’s stating the rods are bent. I have the text message from yesterday where he was explaining what’s wrong with my vehicle and that the rods are abnormally worn. The Honda dealership in Enterprise, AL is the dealership that I’m working with. They informed me today that they are working on getting my engine replaced with an engine from a junkyard from a totaled vehicle. This doesn’t seem ok due to the issue at hand with the problems with the 3.5 L V-6 engines and my concern is that it will have the same problems. I’ve read that Honda Pilot owners are having these same issues even though there isn’t a recall on their vehicles either. I’m very concerned and I’m not sure what can be done about this. I would appreciate any assistance or advice. Thank you for your timeRead more

Purchased this vehicle last year, and less than a week into ownership developed a coolant leak. KIA determined the hybrid radiator leaking due to damage, such as a rock or related impact. While I didn't receive any warnings on the dash, there was noticeable coolant on the ground when parked and smell. I don't believe the level got low enough to trigger a warning or vehicle disabled by the comp

I have heard from an alarming number of Sorento owners that have experienced this problem, and they are installing their own mesh to reduce the size of holes through the grille. This defect in design should be escalated.Read more

My card displayed "Gearbox fault detected" on the instrument panel cluster. According to Jaguar Land Rover Technical Bulletin JLRTB0 2012 NAS3 released August 14, 2020, this could result in the car abruptly stopping when vehicle speed has reduced to 5 km/h (3 mph). The cause mentioned is "No retention to the front Electric Drive Unit (EDU) causing strain on the wiring going to the EDU parking l
... ock actuator connector (C1YE113A). My JLR dealer in Naperville, IL, told me that the 2019 model wire was a few inches short and JLR fixed this in 2022 by adding a few more inches to the wire. However, the cost to fix this was $6700 since they had to take everything out of the car to fix this. Apparently, this issue has caused recalls in Norway and the U.K. but there was no recall for this issue in the USA. Besides being a danger to the public (if the car stops in the middle of the road with little warning), not including the US in the recall makes me feel JLR didn't do right by their customers in the US. I opened a Case {[XXX]} with JLR and their response was that I did not avail of recall H484, wherein I am supposed to buy a new 2024 Jaguar iPace and they would refund me $35,000 for my car. I was not ready to invest another $50,000 in a replacement. I was also given the impression that the only reason for the H484 recall were because batteries were catching on fire, so I agreed to get a new battery. When they replaced the battery, they could have also replaced the wiring going to the parking lock actuator connector (C1YE113A) so that I (in addition to other USA 2019 Jaguar owners) would have been safer and we would not have had to incur $6700 expense now to get this wiring fixed. A-pillar/hinge integrity engineering concern. While opening my door in a parking lot, the wind caught the door before I could catch the door. The door met the hinge stop and flexed enough for the edge of the door panel to contact a bolt on the A-pillar door hinge assembly, causing a small crease in the aluminum door panel. My concern is that in 30 years of driving, I have had a door caught be
... wind before but never had damage to the vehicle. This was not a strong wind, just enough to catch the door. The A-pillar is now flexed slightly such that the door panel gap is larger and seems related to the actual A-pillar flex, not a hinge failure. Vehicle testing of the 22 Ford Expedition has show some poor performance in the A-pillar area and I am concerned that this door issue is due to poor engineering and strength of the A-pillar. I have had the vehicle inspected at the Ford dealership and a customer service complain with Ford is in process. I do not feel this issue can be attributed to user error or considered "accidental" but is due to structural/safety deficiency of the A-pillar structure. On [XXX] after only 400 miles on the odometer, I experienced complete transmission failure while on a highway and was nearly hit by the vehicle behind me, luckily that did not happen. On 05/15/25, the customer care manager informed me that the new transmission from the factory has metal debris inside the pan, and the vehicle would again require a complete "tear down". This is very unsafe for major powertrain components from the GM factory to keep failing, another failed transmission on a brand new truck like this is very unsafe especially because I drive on major highways to commute for work and transport my young children. I have a 2020 Kia Telluride that I bought brand new from Kia. I have performed regular maintenance on the vehicle and performed the repairs required by any recalls. When my vehicle surpassed 75k miles, the vehicle started having issues with excessive oil consumption. I had my vehicle serviced at 75k miles with the oil changed. When my vehicle was passed 79k miles, the vehicle started stalling, pi
... ston misfiring, and engine started vibrating. I took it into the dealer, and they performed diagnostic tests. The determined pistons were working fine but my oil level was very low. This was around 4k miles after my oil change. Kia requires oil changes every 7500 miles. I had the dealer change the oil. Once again, when my vehicle was approaching 4500 miles, the vehicle started to vibrate, piston was not filing properly. I checked my oil level, and it showed very minimal oil on the dip stick. The oil level was well below that was needed for the engine to properly operate. I put closed to 5 quarts of oil to get the engine to the oil level it needed. I am concerned that the excessive oil consumption can lead to the vehicle stalling on the road resulting in collision with other vehicles resulting in bodily injury or harm. According to Kia the oil consumption is fine. How is consuming 5 quarts of oil in 4500 miles fine when the manufacturer states oil changes are required every 7500 miles? The engine itself has a capacity of 6.9 quarts. At the rate my engine is burning oil, I would need over 7.2 quarts of oil to drive 7500 miles. Additionally, having an engine continuously operating with low oil would result in engine damage and thousands of dollars in repairs. The problem I am having in my vehicle is experienced by thousands of Kia Telluride owners. It's the same problem Kia has had in the past with other models. Kia is trying to avoid repairing their defective vehicle and placing the burden on the consumer.Read more

This time I had a problem finding two maintenance receipts. KIA refused to honor the warranty. The dealership refused to work more on the car. In March 2025, the car began to fire large bangs, then much smoke and the engine seized. What if I was driving on a busy street when this happened? What if the car caught fire? I towed the car to the dealership. KIA manufacturer refuses to honor the engine warranty. I explained to KIA my car has documented engine problems. The sludge found is part of the engine problem. The car uses excessive oil, the high burning is coagulating in the bottom of the engine causing the sludge. I have followed the scheduled maintenance in the owner's manual. I have been harassed, badgered, called names at the KIA dealership who wants me to take my car away. I told all of them I have a car with a well known and documented engine defect that they must fix. I am reporting an issue with a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 equipped with the 3.0L Duramax diesel engine. The vehicle experienced a failure of the NOx Sensor Position 2, which significantly impacted performance and emissions compliance. GM previously issued Emission Recall N212351211 (March 7, 2023) for other diesel Silverado models regarding improper ECM detection of NOx sensor faults. The issu
... e in my vehicle appears functionally identical, yet this engine and model were not included in that recall. The sensor was replaced and reprogrammed at a Chevrolet dealership at the owner's expense. After contacting Chevrolet, a customer retention check was provided, covering roughly half of the total cost. While appreciated, the remaining cost burden remains significant. If this model is eventually included in the recall, it may allow for full reimbursement and support for other affected owners. Online forums show that many 3.0L Duramax owners are experiencing similar failures, suggesting this may be a widespread and systemic defect. Due to the strong similarities with the recalled condition in other models, I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate whether this recall should be expanded to cover additional affected vehicles. This issue presents both reliability and emissions compliance concerns. In addition, the vehicle developed a separate mechanical/electrical problem shortly after the NOx sensor failure. Because it involves different systems, I will file a separate complaint regarding that issue.Read more

Rodents chewed through the main wire harness on my vehicle on 2 separate occasions, both times in the same exact location. This recurring damage poses a serious safety risk and may be linked to soy-based wire coatings that attract rodents. The first incident required a $4,979.27 repair, covered by insurance; I paid a $500 deductible. The vehicle was diagnosed by Boonton Auto Body Shop. I recently
... discovered a second instance of rodent damage in the exact same location, which has not yet been repaired. This led me to investigate further and learn that this may be a common issue in certain vehicles, possibly due to soy-based insulation. I filed a complaint with Kia, but they denied responsibility. The main wire harness is critical to safety systems including braking, steering, engine performance, lighting, and airbags. Although I caught the issue before any accident occurred, undetected damage could lead to serious safety failures while driving. Some may argue the issue is environmental, but I also own a 2012 Toyota Prius, which I own and park in the same location since 2012. That vehicle has never had any rodent damage. This suggests that the problem is not just environmental, but may be due to the design, material based, or placement of the wiring in the Kia. Many consumers are unaware they can report safety-related issues to NHTSA. After being denied by the manufacturer, most are left with high repair costs and no resolution. I am concerned that if consumers remain silent or unaware of this process, Kia will not be held accountable. This is not an isolated case. The repeated, location-specific failure and the manufacturer's refusal to act show a clear pattern of potential design defect. I urge NHTSA to investigate this issue seriously, issue a recall to ensure Kia addresses the problem and protects consumer safety, and require the manufacturer to reimburse affected consumers for repair costs. This issue must be addressed before a serious accident occurs.Read more

I read the NHTSA 23V-099 recall. My KIA Soul has experienced similar problems according to the descriptions from the KIA mechanic. Because my car does not fall within the specific car description KIA keeps turning me away. I am driving an unreliable and unsafe car on the road. We cannot allow KIA to continue to sell unsafe cars they have no intention to correct. Another problem that began after the October 2023 break is the car has an error that reads, '...the battery is on'. I have replaced 3 Die Hard batteries since. Thank you.Read more

My engine under, the 2018 KIA Soul Engine Recall, first problem was on October 2023 when it arrived at the dealership with 'no oil'. The mechanic said for KIA to replace the engine. At this time they also found 'sludge' for the first time. I had done my oil changes at the dealership and the most current was August 2023; 2000 miles prior. KIA extended my 100k miles engine warranty to 150k miles. Si

It just started showing a error message to SHIFT TO PARK when the car is already in Park. I took it to Register Chevrolet in Brooksville, Fl on May 14, 2025 and they said it needed a whole new shifter that it is defective. This is a major safety issue. I can currently still turn the car off but alarms start going off and was told I may not be able to turn the vehicle off or not lock the doors and
... could drain the battery. This is absolutely ridiculous there has not been a recall on the safety issue. I have seen that hundreds of others have had the same issue and there has been class action lawsuits. The dealership said it would be around $800 to fix the defective part. Also, I purchased the vehicle in Ohio but moved to Florida in Sep.2021.Read more

At 22,000 miles, driving along at approximately 40mph, vehicle felt like it surged - check engine light went on and message of "limited acceleration - drive with care" appeared. Key cycled the car, CEL and message remained. Car would then not drive higher than 3rd or 4th gear and at limited speed as I tried to get it home. Once I pulled into my driveway message appeared "Service Transmission
... Now - Unable to Shift Soon." Car would then not move when shifted into any gear, including reverse. Had vehicle towed to dealer where they found the transmission valve body needed to be replaced. There are no available parts anywhere in the country and was told this could be a long wait for repair. Upon searching, there are 2020-22 GM vehicles with similar issues like Chevy and GMC where they have recalled the valve body, but the 2023 Cadillac CT5-V is not included in this and likely should be. My dealer told me my CT5 is not the only one they have currently waiting on this exact part.Read more

I was driving about 45 mph when the vehicle started to brake on its own. Message center said "Brake Failure max speed 62 mph". I had to move the vehicle, so I continued forward. It was still trying to self-brake, i decided to stop and turn ignition off so computers could re-set but I had no brakes. I had to stand on brake pedal to get it stopped. Turned ignition off and restarted. The problem was
... gone, but it happened again 2 weeks later. Took to dealership where purchased and they said it needed a computed recalibration. Something I didn't know about. They charged me $200 to recalibrate the computer. My issue is the danger of not having brakes, not the $200. How many similar vehicles could this happen to?Read more

There was a bulge showing near the front of the camper, dealer inspected and said there is frame flex, possibly broken welds on the frame, which is a common problem with the lippert manufactured frames. Model years directly before this year(2022) were recalled for the same problem. This seems to be a common issue for 2022 models as well but there still is no safety recall despite the inherent risk

I attempted to get a safety recall (headlamp assembly defect) addressed at my local Subaru dealership. The vehicle is still under warranty, and I was told I may be able to get a loaner or rental. However, when I arrived, I was informed that the dealership only has 9 loaners and does not offer rental coverage at all, even for warranty customers. I had already spoken to someone about my need for a
... rental due to my class schedule and was led to believe this could be arranged. I drove down there, took time out of my day, and missed class — only to be turned away with no solution. Subaru’s recall notice acknowledges the increased risk of a crash due to poor visibility and glare. My vehicle remains unfixed and unsafe to drive, and I was left with no support despite my warranty and a safety recall. Subaru has not made it reasonably possible for me to address this recall. If an accident occurs while I wait for a proper resolution, I will hold them responsible. I am submitting this complaint to formally document my experience and push for accountability.Read more
