Rear window ford part number 1542006 - Back window glass has 1" cracks in glass where the glass connects to the body on the left passenger side of the crew cab. Cracks have caused leaks into the cab interior and has caused the modem, mounted behind the rear passenger set on the back wall to stop working as water has infiltrated the electronics. Vehicle was inspected at dealership and their 3rd par
... ty glass leak specialists discovered the cracks in the glass connection. I have no idea as to how long this has been going on, estimate a few months as I recently discovered I could not communicate with the vehicle through the Ford Connect App and called Ford Connect, they identified an issue with the modem and when I pulled back the upholstery to see, there was water dripping inside the vehicle. Unknown if cracks will propagate, however they are leaking when it rains. I will be replacing the glass to prevent further leaks from occurring. I have extended warranty through Ford and "glass" is not covered. Reached out to Ford Care and they would not cover. Suggested that I put in a report here so that if later recall or other action, I might be able to get refund for the repair that I am now going to have to pay for to replace the glass and possibly the modem. No other symptoms other than the filaure of the modem that alerted to the issue.Read more

We bought this in 2022 from clek, and a few months before we were transferring our daughter from the infant seat to a convertible seat, our infant seat became stuck on the base. Absolutely impossible to get off and my husband and I both tried many times. I reached out to Clek because I was very concerned that in an emergency situation it would take much longer to unstrap and get baby out instead o
... f just grabbing the seat and going. I mean in a car fire, if we went in any body of water- anything it’s extremely concerning to me that this could happen. I have bought cheaper car seats than this for our other children and never once had this issue. They ended up emailing me with a video showing me to break the base, pull a strap and remove the seat from the base - that’s great besides it still won’t detach and you could never do this in an emergency. They also said this happens often which clearly it does if they have a video showing how to remove it. The car seat has been inspected by the hospital and police prior to this and we have had other friends/ family who are in those professional fields who were very concerned. We actually were told by Albee baby to report clek because they said they should refund us. They aren’t even offering us a new seat and we are due in less than 2 months with baby number 3. We have no seat and to be truthful I don’t want one like this where it may get stuck again. They also told me in an email, police and ems could help save my child- sometimes you can’t wait for that- that’s a horrible excuse to me. I should be able to save my children myself and I will never rely on anyone else.Read more

... ed the issue was related to Recall 22V861 (Gateway Control Module). I was never notified by Audi of this open safety recall prior to the incident. The problem was immediately confirmed by the dealership, and the vehicle has been in the shop since September 2024 — now over eight months — with no ETA on parts from Audi and no resolution. During this time, Audi has not provided a loaner vehicle or rental support. I’ve continued to pay my monthly car note for a car I cannot use and have spent hundreds of dollars per month on Uber and alternate transportation to get to work. Audi issued a $3,000 goodwill check, but that does not begin to cover my actual out-of-pocket costs. I also previously requested a vehicle buyback, which was denied. This is a serious safety defect that caused a dangerous on-road failure, and the manufacturer has failed to provide a timely or adequate remedy. On May 15th, I was involved in a serious accident caused by a malfunction in a rental vehicle provided by Enterprise a 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe. After reversing into a parking spot, I placed the vehicle in “Park” and exited the car to retrieve belongings from the trunk. My young son remained in the back seat. To my shock, the vehicle suddenly began to move on its own despite being in “Park.”
... I immediately ran to the driver’s side and jumped back into the vehicle in an attempt to stop it. I pressed the brake pedal multiple times, but the car would not respond. I also pressed the “Park” button repeatedly, yet the vehicle continued to move uncontrollably. The steering wheel was unresponsive, and I was unable to redirect the vehicle or bring it to a stop. The car ultimately crashed into two other vehicles. During the collision, one of the vehicles pinned my left leg in its door, causing physical injury. I am now dealing with both physical and emotional trauma as a result. To be clear, this incident occurred on a flat surface. No airbag deployed upon impact, and there were no warning signs or alerts from the vehicle beforehand which is highly concerning, especially for a modern electric/hybrid vehicle. This car presents a major safety hazard and, in my opinion, should be recalled and removed from service immediately before it causes a fatality. I have contacted Enterprise multiple times to report this issue and urge them not to rent this vehicle to anyone else.Read more

Vehicle Make/Model/Year: Ford Transit Passenger Van, 2021 VIN: [XXX] 1. Component/System That Failed: The automatic sliding door on the passenger side of the van has malfunctioned repeatedly. The door does not open properly, often stopping at approximately 6 inches, and frequently fails to close fully. In multiple instances, the door has opened while the vehicle was in motion, which presents a
... serious safety hazard. The affected component is still available and can be inspected upon request. 2. Safety Risk Description: This malfunction puts occupants’ safety at serious risk. If the door opens while driving, passengers (especially children or individuals with limited mobility) are vulnerable to falling out. Additionally, in an emergency situation, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) or other first responders would not be able to easily access the van through the sliding door, delaying urgent medical treatment or evacuation. This could result in preventable injuries or fatalities. 3. Repair History and Reproduction of the Problem: This issue has already been addressed by a Ford-certified dealership approximately six months ago; however, the problem has recurred without warning. The dealership had previously claimed to have fixed the issue, but it is now presenting the same symptoms, suggesting the repair was either temporary or the root problem was not resolved. The problem can be reproduced and is ongoing. 4. Inspections: The vehicle has been inspected and serviced by an authorized Ford dealership, but the repair has not held. To my knowledge, the vehicle has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives, but I am willing to make the vehicle available for any required inspection. 5. Warning Signs or Messages: There were no warning lamps, messages, or indicators prior to the recurrence of this malfunction. The door began to malfunction again without any notice, making it even more dangerous for driving. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA),Read more
