After picking up the vehicle I was going through my paperwork because Greenbrier Ford has done all mechanical work on my vehicle since I purchased it in April of 2019 in July of 2019 they updated the original downshifting to first gear did not inform me nor did they inform me when I went in in May of 2025 and they updated the recall that had expired in October of 2023 regarding the letter that did not come to me as the owner but to the previous owner. I feel as though Ford should have covered this and I am actively working to get a refund on that money as I see there is a new recall out on this downshifting to first gear I would like to know how I could go about submitting for a refund.Read more

The dealer stated the engine must be replaced under the recall. Unfortunately, that was over eight weeks ago, and I have still received no timeline, no updates, and no meaningful support from either the repairing dealer or the selling dealer (which is located three hours away from the incident site). Since then, my vehicle has remained undrivable, and I have had no access to alternative transportation. I was offered a reimbursement of $44 per day toward a rental car, but the process requires me to pay out-of-pocket and submit extensive documentation for potential reimbursement. Without knowing how long the delay will be, this could result in thousands of dollars in unreimbursed costs, which is simply not sustainable for me. This situation not only created a serious safety risk during the initial breakdown but has left me without reliable transportation for two months, with no indication of when my truck will be repaired. At a little over 56,500 files, the engine started having a load rattling noise during a cold start where the engine has been sitting for a few hours. I dig some Google searches and found that the noise was related to the cam phaser issue associated with Ford's 3.5L Ecoboost engines so I took it to Jim Vreeland Ford in Buellton, CA to get an official diagnosis on July 1, 2025 that costed me $196. Ford apparently issued TSB 23-2143 to address the issue, and I was quoted $3158.07 to address the issue along with $2026.71 for unrelated but recommended components that should be replaced at the same time. This is in reference to recall #Z46/NHTSA 22V-406 On June 11 2025 I had my Jeep at the dealer for an unrelated problem. The next day when the dealer called me to let me now that my Jeep was ready they mentioned they preformed the high pressure fuel pump recall. I figured no big deal, no additional trip to dealer for the recall. After getting my vehicle home I looked in to what exactly was done as
... part of the recall. I also found the instructions for the work to be done and the parts to be replaced as part of this recall. The dealer only preformed part of the recall, they replaced the pump the filters and left the label pack in an envelope in the vehicle. When I called them the next day to ask why the additional parts were not installed they said that they do do that part of the recall for no contaminated vehicles. In the instructions for the recall it states numerous times that the high pressure fuel lines are one time use and to discard and replace the lines. In their own service instructions for high pressure fuel lines or whenever the lines need to be removed for a repair the fuel lines are to be replaced. I have had to pay for fuel lines in the past on a repair that required removal. So my question is are dealers required to replace one time use parts only when the customer is paying? same for the EGR tube and gasket. The brakes were unresponsive and unpredictable, creating near-miss situations when trying to stop. The fluid leak near the pedals presents a possible fire hazard or the risk of further brake failure. I feared for my life and my child’s safety. I was dismissed when I returned to report the failures. I am currently seeking an independent inspection, but I want this formally documented as an urgent safety matter. Based on research this part was on recall on the Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0L Eco Diesel for causing this same issue with the crank shaft tone wheel (reluctor wheel) but to this date there has been none on my truck. We are now out $3400 for the repair with Stellantis knowing they have had issues with this part on the other models with the same engine.Read more

The Kia authorized service center was able to reset the adaptive system, and the hybrid warning light turned off temporarily. However, the issue reappeared the same day. The dealer claims they cannot reproduce it and refuses further diagnosis without replication. The vehicle was only inspected by a Kia-authorized dealership. Kia Consumer Affairs has not yet conducted a manufacturer-level inspection or assigned a field technician. Yes. A “Check Hybrid System. Stop Safely” warning message appears before the failure occurs. Then check engine light was on. It first appeared immediately after a routine service (oil change, tire rotation, multi-point inspection) on 26th June 2025, just 2 days after my regular service. The warning disappears after restarting but returns intermittently, typically after the EV battery is fully drained and the car fails to switch to gas mode.Read more

Over 1.5 years of owning my new 2024 grand Highlander platinum hybrid pro max I have had multiple incidents (6 documented now with toyota) where after coming to a complete stop I go to accelerate and the car shutters,sputters,lunges, and even looses power or goes into “limp mode”. I have been almost hit several times now by oncoming traffic because my grand Highlander completely loses power. I
... t will not accelerate. After 5 seconds I typically hear loud groaning noises followed by two loud bangs and two violent lurches forward before my car finally regains power. No warning lights popped up on my dash any of the times my car has lost power. My dealership keeps telling me “no problem found” and that I am the only one with this issue. This is false. There are many complaints online and finally after I did not give up the dealership pulled a comprehensive RoB scan/report on my car and found multiple transmission failure codes on the transmission system/TCM. One “lack of acceleration code” was even dated two weeks before I bought my brand new grand Highlander with toyota. I received my grand Highlander with 6 miles on it. I was the first owner. My PDI “pre-delivery inspection date was one week after this transmission failure code”. When I presented this to toyota reps who finally met with me at the dealership they had nothing to say. Toyota knows about this problem and they do not know how to fix it. It is a serious safety issue and I refuse to allow someone to get hurt because Toyota will not be honest and relay this known issue. After the dealership and toyota reps told me I was the only one with this issue toyota officially released a service bulletin in March 2025 for a TCM flash reset/update to address sluggish acceleration, loss of power, and limp mode with the transmissions TCM when the hybrid systems battery is at 33% or less. My dealership installed the TCM update about 1.5 months ago and unfortunately my car has had two more instances since with loss of power.Read more

After doing research, there is over 2000 people who are experiencing the same issue. Mike Reed Chevy nor GM offered assistance with a rental to offset the inconvenience. It was only until I demanded to speak with the service manager that I was given a rental car. As someone who manages a hospital, the delay in obtaining this part has caused significant hardship, and to date, there has been no clear timeframe provided for when the part will become available or when repairs can be completed. As a consumer, I am left without reliable transportation as the dealership has requested me to return my rental. The lack of transparency or timeline for resolution is deeply concerning. My 2016 Kia Sorento (VIN: [XXX] ) has suffered a head gasket failure due to a known manufacturing defect identified in a Kia Technical Service Bulletin (TSB WTY035). The defect causes head gasket failure, which in my case has resulted in external oil leakage. The vehicle’s engine is losing oil through the failed gasket, and the issue poses increasing risk of engine damage or sudden performance loss. Kia’s denial is inconsistent with the intent of the warranty and the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. This problem affects vehicle function and reliability. It is also being experienced by other owners of the same model and engine. The electric power brake (EPB) on my vehicle had a fault three separate times. The first time, the rear brakes were engaged by the EPB for approximately a half an hour. I’m grateful I did not need to use the car to drive my kids to the emergency room, for example. I’m very surprised and disappointed that Kia, throughout all of their other innovations, does not have an emergency EPB/brake release handle. One could easily be put in the back of the car, near the spare tire, with a cable and set of release pins, which when pulled, would release the EPB and the car could be driven.Read more

The transmission has failed after only 39,000 miles. As a result, the vehicle would not accelerate which lead to a dangerous situation while crossing an intersection. No engine light was shown and no sensors were triggered on the onboard computer so it was impossible to know there was an issue.

I would go into reverse and the camera would appear but then disappear as I’m backing up. No more blinking or telling me I am about to crash. Even 3D camera doesn’t work. Drivetrain feels very strange since last OTA update. Making weird noises when driving. Battery sounds like it’s screaming. Something is really wrong.

The hood will not open due to a faulty cable. Land Rover issued a TSB - LTB01208NAS4 for years 2017-2018. I have a 2019 with the same issue. Dealer refused to perform the TSB, despite me having the same issue. Uploading the TSB from prior NHTSA complaints. Please help.

Dash resets and you loose instruments for a few seconds. When they come back they are inaccurate. This has happened many times and have had the car to the dealer twice who cannot replicate the issue.
