Last week I was driving my daughter’s Venue and the brakes became hard. Crunching noises. I suspected I had dropped my water bottle and perhaps it rolled under the brake pedal. It was hard to depress I heard the same crunching noises as I tried to use the brakes. Drove home 1.5 miles slowly and it continued to occur all the way. I had it towed to the dealer. Been there a week and they cannot
... replicate it. I mentioned I had an oil change 48 hours earlier. They said the oil had been over filled which they corrected. I contacted Jiffy Lube and they took exception to this. Idk what to do. I am nervous to drive it or return it to my daughter. Dealer wants me to pick it up. We are at an impasse.Read more

When using the key fob to unlock the car, I have to push the unlock button 30-40 times before the car unlocks. When locking the car after using it, it usually locks the first time pushing the button on the key fob, but definitely locks after 3-4 presses. This is an issue because I am often parked on the side of the road, and when I'm pressing the button many times, I'm often standing at the door w
... aiting for it to unlock while traffic drives past me because I can't get in the car. I will also pull the door handle, because the car has proximity sensors to unlock, but that also doesn't work right when I walk up to the car. So I usually stand at the driver's door pressing the key fob and pulling on the door handle until it unlocks. The only other issue with the car is the backup camera becoming unavailable when first turning on the car. I'm not sure if these are in any way related.Read more

While driving on I-17 Southbound near mile marker 311 at approximately 75 mph, I experienced a sudden and dangerous malfunction of the Lane Keep Assist (Auto-Steer) system in a 2021 Subaru Forester. The feature was active at the time and unexpectedly veered the vehicle sharply toward the concrete wall on the left shoulder of the highway. I attempted to regain control, but due to the abrupt nature
... of the malfunction, I overcorrected and collided with the wall on the rear driver side. There were no vehicles in the immediate vicinity, or this could have resulted in a multi-vehicle collision at high speed. I hit my head during the impact but did not require emergency medical services at the scene. Road conditions were dry and clear, with no visible debris or extreme weather factors. There were no warning lights or error messages from the vehicle prior to or during the incident. The Auto-Steer system did not disengage on its own before veering off course. This was the first time driving this particular vehicle, which was a company car, and I immediately reported the incident to my employer. The damage was reported and the vehicle is seemingly available for inspection. At the time of this report, the issue has not yet been formally diagnosed by a dealer or service technician. The failure of this driver-assist feature significantly endangered my safety and potentially the safety of others had there been nearby traffic. I am filing this report so the issue can be investigated, and similar malfunctions prevented in the future.Read more

The vehicle a Nissan Rogue SV 2023, with a turbo engine constantly decelerated a number of times. sometimes it gave a warning and other times it does not. The first time it happened I started the engine, and the car crawled like a turtle. Even while pressing the gas pedal, it did not go any faster. I stopped the car very perturbed of what to do. I turned the engine on and tried again, and it accel
... erated as it normally does. This occurred multiple times on different occasions. Vehicle was taken to the dealership on multiple occasions with no solution being offered. I got really frustrated at the dealership because you are the makers of this vehicle which is decelerating for no reason and continues to do so and you claim the reports you run are showing nothing to resolve the issue. I should not be scared of driving my vehicle which is still under warranty, or when an accident occurs and God forbid a life is lost. The uncertainty of this happening again is not known. I wrote to Nissan Consumer Affairs at their headquarters and was told that they could do nothing about it under the Lemon law. The vehicle would have to be repaired about 4 times before they would do anything. This is ridiculous. It is their manufactured vehicle. Now I am seeing that the vehicle 2023 Nissan Rogue with the turbo engines are being recalled for engine failure. I was told that I will have to wait until I get a letter from Nissan with my VIN number before they will look at it. Please help me get this resolved. Thank You.Read more

I am reporting a serious safety issue after three service visits to Star Nissan. Most recently, on July 8, 2025, they performed a full transmission replacement under warranty (see invoice attached). Since receiving the car back, it now makes creaking noises, vibrates severely under acceleration and deceleration, and is completely unsafe to drive. The shaking is so bad I can feel it under my feet
... and seat, especially at highway speeds (40–50 mph). The car did not have these symptoms before the transmission repair. They claimed they did a test drive, but that is obviously false. This is now the third time I’ve had to return this vehicle for drivetrain-related issues, and I’ve been told to “wait until July 15th” with no resolution while my car is dangerous and undrivable. I’m reporting this as a potential safety risk, negligent repair, and breach of warranty, and I want Nissan investigated for returning vehicles in this condition. I’m afraid to drive it and feel completely ignored. This dealership needs to be held accountable, and Nissan should be required to take responsibility before someone gets hurtRead more

My passenger airbag spontaneously deployed without an impact when it was parked. This shattered the windshield and expelled plastic dashboard pieces and glass everywhere. My daughter and I had just exited the car so there were no injuries. Had we not stopped this may have deployed on the road or if my passenger had waited in the car caused serious injuries. I contacted Chrystler to report this saf

On over a dozen occasions my vehicle’s check engine light randomly comes on and then my car stalls out while driving and begins decelerating quickly. It is unsafe to drive this car and Honda has been unable to fix it. I bought this car brand new with 0 miles and the issues started early on before I reached 20,000 miles. I attached one of the most recent invoices from Honda where they noted the fuel injectors failing and codes of misfires in all cylinders. They most recently tried replacing the fuel injector but it still hasn’t fixed the problem. This car is unsafe to drive and has been in the shop multiple times for more than 30 days for the same issue that they can’t seem to fix.Read more

September 2, 2023 at about 6 pm I pulled over to grab a couple water bottles from the rear of my 2002 Ford Explorer Sport cause my engine was overheating. I got out walked to the rear of my vehicle pushed my unlatch button on the tailgate and I lifted the glass part of the rear hatch. Both air hinges were not working correctly to keep it up so I gently rested the glass on my hair that was put up
... in a bun and just a little bit of the glass was resting on the very top of my head where my hair was slicked back for my bun so my hands were free to grab the bottles of water. (My hair was the softest of resting place's). As I reached in the back to grab the water bottles I heard the loudest bang and hundreds of little pieces of glass fell everywhere around me. I was in so much distrot that I actually thought someone had shot at me with a fire arm but missed me and hit the rear glass instead. The top of my head was stinging and it felt like I had just been smacked with a tree branch and the glass had went all over me causing a few minor cuts and scrapes as I fell to my knees in shock my heart racing faster than I had even imagined a heart could beat while histaraclly crying from the trauma that just occurred I fell to the ground and for a full 15 minutes i sat there surrounded by glass and tears in so much shock, dazed and confused before I stood up and looked around at everything that then I only realized I WASN'T shot at because there was no bullet or bullet hole nor did a vehicle drive by nor was there any people closer than a mile to me when I realized that the glass had shattered for some UNKNOWN reason ON ITS OWN that it scared me so bad it traumatized me. After that day I was pulled over multiple times by numerous police agency's (sheriff, Medford PD, Central Point PD and State Police) because I didn't have the money to fix it let alone have the knowledge that it had a recall so I could get it replaced. I have pictures but it will not allow me to upload them.Read more

Several safety-critical systems failed on this vehicle. The engine (Theta II 2.4L GDI) failed due to rod bearing wear, causing sudden power loss on the highway. The vehicle entered limp mode, once at 50 mph in 2018 and again at 70 mph in 2025, and had to be pulled over quickly to avoid collision. Additional issues: all four windows failed at different times, leaving them stuck open and creating s
... afety risks in weather or emergencies. The trunk latch failed, causing unsecured cargo risk. ABS, TPMS, and traction control warning lights illuminated repeatedly, indicating possible loss of critical safety systems. A loose wiring harness caused the turn signal bulb to burn out repeatedly, reducing visibility and signaling. The dealership performed the KSDS software update after I reported engine trouble but did not resolve the issue. The engine soon failed completely while driving. Other issues, such as the fuse box blowing fuses from a standard USB charger have also been documented by a Kia dealership but not always fully repaired. The most recent engine failure and electrical defects are being inspected by a Kia dealership, and Kia Consumer Affairs is reviewing the warranty claim. Prior to the engine failure, I smelled burning oil and topped it off monthly due to excessive consumption. The oil level light and check engine light only appeared during limp mode right before the failure. These repeated safety-critical defects, particularly sudden engine failure at highway speed, created a significant safety hazard for myself and others on the road. At the time of this report, I am in the process of seeking warranty coverage for the catastrophic engine failure through Kia. The failure behavior (limp mode, flashing check engine light, and rod knock) is consistent with the safety defect described in the Theta II engine settlement. I am concerned that despite this being a known issue, there may be delays or denials in honoring the safety-related warranty repair.Read more
