There appears to be leaking from the dipstick tube. Transmission lurches when accelerating and decelerating. Eddies Repair in Pagosa Springs Colorado looked at the vehicle and suggested there may be a recall on this issue. When looking up the vin my vehicle is not included in recall ZA3. I purchased this truck in March 2025 and it has been an issue from then.

The shop cleared out all the malfunctions and re drove it and they said it appeared fine but the next day (Wednesday) it acted up again and that is when I got the transmission malfunction STOP warning on the dashboard. I pulled over and called the shop to come tow my car. By Thursday they said they couldn't diagnose or fix the problem but stated it had to do with the Transmission and to have it towed to the Mercedes Benz dealership. I had it towed to the Morristown, NJ Mercedes Benz service dept and they stated that it appears that it is the Transmission Valve Body. I spoke with Mercedes this morning (July 28, 2025) and that is when I learned it was the Transmission Valve Body and that it is going to cost me $4,000.00 plus labor. This makes no sense as the car has less than 26,000 miles on it. I researched a bit on this and found that there may have been a recall for this car but I was never notified of the recall. When the service rep told me that he was waiting to hear from corporate on this before he could give me an exact cost (this was after the technician stated what the issue was). I got suspicious as why would they need to contact corporate to figure out the cost of the repair. I could have gotten into a really bad accident if I was on a major road going 65mph.Read more

... ight was red once turned green I pushed pedal to go and truck just changed noise tone started to run like rough idle, loud tapping noise coming from the engine, shaking and check engine light came on almost causing me to get into an accident. I pulled on the side and checked what was going on and heard the tapping noise from the motor. So I made an appointment with service department with Servco Chevrolet Dealership where i bought my truck from and spoke with the service tech for my truck to go in for repairs due to issue. It took 2 to 3 weeks for repairs to be complete and service tech informed me that I'm not the only person to have that issue which had to do with the lifters and camshaft with these motors but GM never came out with any recalls due to how much people has the same motors with the same issue. So luckily it was still covered under warranty but said the problem might come back and would just replace the faulty lifters and camshaft. So in August of 2023 my truck has the same issue but wasn't covered under warranty anymore and mileage is 61k and missed the warranty repairs that was for the lifters which I got it scanned cause check engine light and same issue and code was P0016. So I called Servco Chevrolet dealership in waipahu again and spoke with the service technician which he told me I just missed the coverage of the warranty repair and only way to get it fixed I would have to bring it back for them to scan and roughly would range from 4k to 8k to get it fixed. I have had issues with this car since a few months from me getting it. My rear camera wouldn't work half the time and sometimes turns the images upside down. A couple of months into getting the car, my car literally shut off while I was on the freeway and I had to pull over. Restart it. I took it in to Ford and they said it was fine. Throughout the last 4 years, my car has restart itself without me autostarting it! It is not a push start car! The engine won't turn off half the time when I take the key out or it turns off then restarts itself and it won't turn off. My car won't lock when it restarts itself. I have also taken my car in multiple times for the electrical system. Reading that there has been multiple complaints about a lot of the issues I am having with my car, not only is it a major safety hazard, but Ford should have done recalls. It is quite ridiculous that they haven't when they are aware of multiple cars having these same issues. I have almost caused several car accidents because of the electrical issues and I don't feel safe driving my vehicle. I shouldn't have to keep spending thousands of dollars and the issues aren't resolved or they keep saying they don't know. There is clearly a lot of faulty issues with the 2014 Ford Edge model and there needs some recalls that need to be issued. My car should not start slowing down automatically on the freeway then shut down. I have had to replace my battery and alternator in less than a year of owning it with only 40,000 miles of it. Kia dealership said if they could not repeat the stall they could not really determine what is wrong. This is the 3rd serious issue I have had with this vehicle and each occurrence I was made to feel like the issues did not exist. 1 week into ownership I complained about a knocking noise, was told that the struts came from the factory loose, a month ago the differential gear box needed to be changed. I am now told that it could take a very long time to repair, and I would need to rent a car at my expense and if approved will be reimbursed at some point. My atlas forward collision system malfunctioned causing the automatic emergency braking to turn on when there was no one and nothing in front of me. I was then rear ended. Which ultimately totaled my vehicle. My car said airbag error as well. I called Volkswagen Perrysburg Ohio, to report the incident, was sent to the managers voicemail 7/16/2025. The manager never called me back.

The vehicle was taken in for the oil level not registering on the dip stick 5235 miles on the odometer, they said it was 2 quart oils low. They said they would do an oil consumption test and to bringv it back in 2000 miles. We took it back with an odometer reading of 7451 and it was again 2 quarts oils low. There is an oil consumption issue on this vehicle.

So it looks like, at a minimum, I'm two updates behind (encompassing of course, a ton of intermediate versions). So right there, the dealerships have been failing by not even taking the time to read Audi's own TSBs. The dealership said: they have seen this before and they have seen many leave without resolve May I please be placed on the list of VINs that when all complaints are proven to be true and a recall is issued, I can partake in the MMI update? It truly is dangerous as the entire console shuts down, meaning cameras and system are not available for viewing protection (the minimum safety precautions expected with cameras, etc) Audi needs to recognize this is a widespread issue. It appears that they are picky with who they provide updates to and who they ignore as some owners received an update and while their MMI doesn't function 100%, it doesn't cycle through reboot every 60 seconds.Read more
