My car has the same issues as the Kia Soul and Kia Sorento. Kia has issued recalls for certain Soul and Sorento models due to various issues. A significant recall involves the 2020-2021 Soul and 2021 Seltos with 2.0L Nu MPI engines, where the piston oil rings may not have been properly heat-treated, potentially leading to engine damage and even fires. Additionally, some 2021-2022 Sorento and 2021
... -2023 K5 models have been recalled due to a potential loss of drive power caused by a faulty transmission oil pump. I purchased my car within the same time frame between 2020 - 2021 as well. Many mechanics have also told me the fast oil burn issue has been happening to a lot of Kia Sportages as well. I have also been told by Kia dealership they have stopped selling my particular model for a while now as well. My engine is having issues, and the air in my car is also not working as well. Please help assist in this concern of mine and the issue that is very relevent and related to the Kia Soul and Kia Sorento. Thank you!Read more

The part that failed on the 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan was the Active Head Restraint (AHR) on the passenger seat. It suddenly deployed while driving smoothly. The vehicle was going about 15 mph and there was no sudden impacts or movement that would have caused the AHR to deploy. It is available for inspection upon request. The safety of the passenger was put at risk by the potential impact of the he
... adrest unexpectedly hitting their head that could cause physical harm. The deployment also caused a loud noise that acted as a distraction to the driver. The problem has not been reproduced as far as I know. I have seen others on multiple websites reporting the same failure of the AHR. The headrest has not been inspected as of the day of this incident report. There were no warnings or symptoms that would have led me to believe something was potentially wrong with the headrest.Read more

The contact owns a 2018 Ford Focus. The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at various speeds, the transmission shifted between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear, the engine revved up, and the vehicle jerked and lost motive power. I own a 2025 Kia K4 that has experienced multiple serious defects since purchase, raising ongoing safety concerns. Within the first four months, my windshield has failed or cracked four times, with one replacement denied by Kia and paid out-of-pocket. The windshield continues to make loud cracking noises, suggesting a structural defect that has not been resolved. In addition, the sunroof does not
... open or close properly, and while Kia acknowledged the defect, they only offered a potential software adjustment that does not address the root cause. The vehicle also makes loud, unpredictable popping noises from the dashboard, a problem that multiple other Kia owners at the same dealership have reported. The dealer confirmed that Kia does not have a fix and only offered to temporarily “push in the dashboard.” Furthermore, the seat cooling system has stopped working entirely without repair options provided. These defects compromise the safety and reliability of the vehicle, creating risks of reduced visibility, potential structural failure, and driver distraction. All issues have been reported and documented at Courtesy Kia of Brandon, FL, and confirmed by the dealer, but Kia has failed to provide adequate remedies. No warning lights or error messages appeared prior to these failures. I have also filed reports with the Better Business Bureau Auto Line, the Florida Attorney General’s Office, and Kia Customer Care, but no meaningful resolution has been provided. These ongoing unresolved defects indicate systemic safety issues with the Kia K4.Read more

Just minutes before entering the highway, my son and I heard a very loud popping sound that startled us, like something large hit the car or a tire exploded. I immediately pulled into a gas station checked the exterior & all 4 tires, but everything appeared intact. Shortly after, while driving on hwy during morning rush hour at 65–70 mph in the far-left lane, the check engine light illuminated &
... almost immediately the car lost all engine power. My speed dropped quickly with cars behind me traveling at high speeds. I had to activate hazard lights & cut across 4 lanes of traffic to the shoulder, putting myself, my child passenger, & others at serious risk of a multi-car collision. While waiting for help, I plugged in my FIXD OBD-II reader later looking over diagnostics read code P0451 – EVAP System Pressure Sensor. 8 hours after car was towed & had been parked at my home & still not starting I researched the code to learn what that means & the possible cause for & found it is all emission related issues varying in reasons as simple as a gas cap replacement. Nothing of any engine failure while driving risking the lives of drivers & others so before sending my car to a mechanic, I went and checked the gas cap in case just a simple emissions type fix that is where I observed fuel still bubbling out of the tank have photos, my daughter, & sister, as witnesses. The next day car was towed to Kia Mall of Georgia on June 26, 2025. As of August 20, 2025, the dealership has confirmed the fuel tank expanded as of now there is no resolution from Kia for fixing once this happens can likely shift car frame & could be declared totaled. Component/system failed: Fuel tank/EVAP system (pressure failure). Vehicle is available for inspection at Kia Mall of Georgia. Safety risk:Complete engine shutdown at highway speeds with child passenger on board; risk of multi-car, high-speed crash. Fuel bubbling/spitting increased fire hazard. not a recall only emissions campaign needs to changeRead more
