Because they have not sealed the screws on the interior side of the roof that hold the rails on top of the Jeep it now leaks since we have attached a kayak rack to those Jeep factory placed rails. Jeep is not willing to repair it and it requires tearing out the complete interior headliner to repair. I called Jeep customer service and they won't repair it even though it is a VERY COMMON problem (per google search to try and see what the cause and repair entails, this is how I found out that the rail screws are the issue). Since it is a common problem and Jeep doesn't want to repair it and it is not only ruining my headliner and the carpet, but it also poses a risk when driving that it distracts as you try to sop it up as it's leaking from the light fixture as you drive and there's no other way to get it out without taking the whole inside of the Jeep apart.Read more

... Rock Assembly Plant where the other problematic vehicles came from. The build dates that were included in the recall were from November 30, 2015 through November 14, 2018. My vehicle was apparently outside of this range, but the problem continues. The cutoff date ranges for this recall was obviously too narrow because the problem persists. Now, because the applicable range was too narrow, I am left to have to pay for a factory mistake. Please expand the affected dates on recall 19S03. This is an issue that poses an imminent threat to the safety of this vehicle because the door latch is intermittently operative. Vehicle has a p1101 code that comes and goes. Engine filter has been replaced, throttle body has been cleaned, MAF sensor has been replaced, and the issue continues to persist. There is no know way to fix this. Rear seat belt doesn’t work. Vehicle came like that. Vehicle has had multiple issues. Contacted Chevy they want me to pay for a diagnostic out of pocket and submit to them and possibly they will then help. These are all known issues that they are not addressing.Read more

I purchased a dodge 3500 truck on October 16th 2024. My truck as of today has 4900 miles on it. It is a one ton dually. I noticed this week two of the rear outside tires have cracks and defective tread. I took it to a tire shop and they confirmed these tires are bad. I tow a 40 foot fifth wheel trailer. If I had had a blowout it could of been a huge problem for myself and those on the road around

I had to buy all 6 new tires because I didn't want to chance a blow out with my trailer on the truck. I googled Nexen tires LT235/80R17 which are my tires. It says these are not rated for a 1 ton dually truck. When used on a dually it says its not the best choice for a 1 ton especially when towing heavy loads. The reason I bought this truck was for the purpose of towing my RV. I made that clear to the sales man at the dealership when I bought this truck. I assumed these tires were rated for this truck. After inspection by ALM Chevy, I was informed that the failure likely stems from a known issue with the torque converter or transmission valve body — problems that have been widely reported in 2020 Silverado models with the 8-speed automatic transmission. I have also learned that GM issued a recall for certain 2020–2022 models due to excessive transmission valve wear, which may cause the rear wheels to lock up. I am concerned that my vehicle may fall within the scope of this recall or a related Technical Service Bulletin (such as TSB 21-NA-199). Given the seriousness of the failure, the relatively low mileage, and the widespread nature of these transmission problems, I believe this may be a defect in materials or workmanship. I respectfully request the following: Confirmation of whether my vehicle is subject to any open recalls or service bulletins relating to the transmission. A warranty or goodwill repair of the transmission or related components. If parts are unavailable, an estimated timeline for repair or alternative transportation options. I was sitting, idling in my car when my active headrest restrain system in my passenger seat suddenly went off. I am lucky no one was in my passenger seat and that I wasn't driving at that time. I looked more into it and it looks like the plastic encasing the metal bar which holds the headrest together snapped. Googling online I saw that this is a common issue with dodge, jeep, and Chrysler cars.

Transmission: Delayed shift/hesitation at low speed after take-off. Risk of loss of motion while crossing traffic. Consistently happens at low speed shift change, doesn't matter if on flat or incline. I purchased my 2025 Ioniq 5 Limited less than a week ago and have found that adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assist systems are essentially non-functional because of repeated false warnings from the Driver Attention System. Purported to monitor the driver's attention by watching the eyes, this system clearly doesn't work well enough to serve it's purpose and, in fact, causes unnecessary d
... istractions and unsafe conditions with repeated and frequent false positive warnings. The first warnings caution the driver to keep his/her eyes on the road (my eyes are on the road) and escalate to point where ACC and lane keeping assist are turned off. Since the drive attention warnings cannot be turned off when in ACC with lane keeping assist are active, the only recourse is to turn off lane keeping assist, making this system essentially non-functional and useless. Note: Hyundai is aware of this and has issued at least one TSB advising that some eyewear may prevent the system from functioning properly and that this is considered "normal" leaving the driver to find suitable eyewear. I do not usually drive with sun glasses and having the car manufacturer suggest that their system may be impacted by my prescription glasses (which I do wear while driving) and the fix to this potentially dangerous situation is to replace my glasses is ludicrous. I have also done limited testing without my glasses and find that it has no impact on the false warnings. Per Hyundai's TSB I have made sure that my driver's position is such that the monitor's camera has an unobstructed view of my eyes and is not blocked at any time by my hands or arms while I'm holding the wheel.Read more

In the subsequent 3.5 years, the car has been driven primarily on flat roads in St. Louis and Los Angeles and has had regular oil changes and maintenance. On Monday, [XXX], the Escape’s transmission began grinding and broke down near Cedar City Utah. It was subsequently towed to Cedar City Auto Repair & Maintenance where with only 99,436 miles on the odometer, it was diagnosed with a broken fly wheel and Ring Gear Assembly and subsequently repaired for $1,908.70 (Please review 1.JPEG, 2.JPEG, 3.JPEG, 4.JPEG & CedarCity.7.10.23.pdf.) The Escape performed adequately for the next 26 months. However, on Sunday, [XXX], the transmission began grinding again after only an additional 21,000 miles. It was towed to SUNSET TRANSMISSION on 8/12/25, where it was determined the Escape needed a new torque converter, a full transmission rebuild and a new transmission rebuilding kit, despite having only 121,361 miles on the odometer. These repairs cost $3,742.05. (Please review SunsetTransmission.8.12.25.pdf.) As you know, manufacturing quality has been an issue for 2017 Ford Escape’s. After my car being parked for 5 hours I opened my car door and before even shutting my door and starting my car my rear view windshield shattered to pieces, no forced trauma , literal shatter .

The transmission was replaced; however, the failure reoccurred and became worse. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V760000 (Power Train); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. Transmission failure 4 times since purchasing it new in December 2024 I was almost killed multiple times on the highway because car won’t accelerate. Car is jumping when driving and choking Air conditioning shuts off while driving Car gets stuck in park and nothing will work
