My 2018 Dodge Durango leaked water into the taillight assembly. I initially removed the bottom taillight screw located inside the liftgate so water would drain. Later I had to remove the light itself and run a bead of silicone caulking along the top edge where the water leaked into the light assembly. Generation 3 Dodge Durangos are notorious for leaking water into the "race track" shaped taill
... ight which leads to taillight failures. It's the biggest complaint on my Facebook Durango groups, with almost daily postings. Once water collects inside the assembly, it leads to taillight partial or total failure.Read more

I purchased this bike and have not been able to ride it, due to the severity of the safety and mechanical issues the dealer failed to disclose to me. Once I got the bike home and had it inspected by a reputable mechanic, he informed me the dealer couldn’t have inspected this bike without seeing the multitude of dangerous, and illegal modifications. The brake switch was disconnected, the kickstan
... d sensor was bypassed. Emissions tube has a screw in it as a makeshift plug of sorts. The frame is modified and the balance of the bike is off. The dealer was negligent in ensuring the safety of the motorcycle before selling it. There were no warning lamps or other indicators of a problem, because they have all been bypassed and/or faulty.Read more

Incident date: Jun 29, 2022
On Wednesday, June 29th, 2022 I was riding my new Kawasaki KLX230S on private property. While riding I was experiencing surging while riding off-road. We set up a course to practice for my on-road license test and upon returning from the opposite end of the course I applied both the front and rear brakes bringing the bike to a stop. At that very moment the motorcycle accelerated to full throttle
... on it's own causing me to dump the bike rather than run over my husband. A Kawasaki dealer told us we probably overfilled the fuel tank and got fuel into the evaporative control system, we had not: or, that we tipped the bike over getting fuel into the evaporative control system, which we had not done until the unintended acceleration. At the recommendation of the dealer my husband took the bike on a very long ride, to clear out the evap control system, and the surging calmed down and we didn't experience any further unintended acceleration. However, the surging returned; this time only while going downhill. While on a ride the check engine light came on and we took the bike to Kawasaki dealer. The dealer told us the code was for the Vehicle Speed Sensor but the sensor checked good so after much troubleshooting they decided to replace the Main Engine Harness. Upon receiving the bike back my husband took it for a test ride and while it idles correctly it still surges going downhill; so bad in fact that it is dangerous and unridable off-road going downhill. The dealer claims that Kawasaki is aware of a problem with these bikes concerning the Vehicle Speed Sensor turning on the Check Engine Light however, would not state that it effects the operation of the bike in any way. My husband told them that it is unsafe to produce a motorcycle that can fail in an unsafe condition such as unintended acceleration and to correct it or replace the bike. 1. Vehicle Speed Sensor 2. The bike accelerated on it's own causing a crash 3. Yes 4. No 5. Check Engine Light on at 10-26-22Read more

The ABS Unit is malfunctioning causing the motorcyle to show K-ACT ABS ERROR. Additionally, both the ABS and KTRC lights illuminated. The motorcycle is available for inspection upon request. The rear brake pedal feel changed dramatically requiring significant additional pressure to be applied to the pedal. The system should have acutated the front brake during this process but it did not. Addi
... tional application pressure on the front brake lever was required. When the front brake was applied independent of the rear brake, there was no rear brake actuation. A malfunctioning antilock braking system is the safety issue! The problem has been reproduced by an independent service center. The code found was for a sensor but the sensor cannot be replaced. The entire ABS Unit has to be replaced. The motorcycle has 14,000 miles on it.Read more
