The car keeps dying while I’m driving and saying “shift to park” and then slamming on the brakes and dying. The card is 4 years old with 44k miles. I had to sit on the side of the road in 93 degree heat in Florida while pregnant and waiting on a tow truck. How has someone not died because of this? I’ve seen SEVERAL posts of people saying the same thing happened to theirs. It’s SO unsafe.

... ing my 2018 GMC Sierra 6.2l 1500 Denali 129,600 miles at approx 30 mph it was late so the streets were empty and we started to hear a knocking or what I thought at the time was a very bad exhaust leak. We parked and then we started to try to make it home very slowly which we did and it was not making to much noise. The next day I called GMC and explained they said bring it in. I towed it there to be safe but it did start and still ran at very slow speed. They called me and said that the lift side rockers/ lifters 1 failed and it was stuck due to a misfire and that the engine would need to be rebuilt and sent me over some very vague break down which looked like a lump sum price. I requested and better break down and got a screen shoot and that when he said that’s the best they can do. There were no engine lights on or warnings nothing at all. It also just got serviced at GMC for an oil change on February 27th 2025 along with some air filters. Today is April 29th and still waiting for the service manage to call and see if they can do anything to help out instead of charging full price. Then a couple days later the shifter would be put into reverse and then not go in reverse when you hit the gas to go. Having two young kids, my husband told me it wasn’t safe to be driving it at all. We had it towed to a mechanic shop to be inspected since we depend on a car for our job. The mechanic inspected it with a diagnostic code reader as well as looking at the transmission. Transmission has failed more than once in 4 month span. Ford dealership states its the parts and not them. When traveling down the freeway at speed limits the truck went from a high gear to low gear. Pulled over to adjust GPS, engine running, shifted to neutral, neutral light illuminated on dash, put the side stand down,, released the clutch bike still in gear, bike lunged forward, off of sidestand, bike headed for ground with rider, lucky first two times I had my hand on the front brake, lock up brake preventing bike from launching off the side stand and crashing to ground. First time with stock clutch and brake levers set up by dealer with 1/16 clutch free play, third time with Warp9 aftermarket adjustable brake and clutch levers, was in same 1/16" free play when set up, cable seated during 100 mile ride, gap then 1/4", third false neutral, dash displayed green neutral indication light, side stand down, released clutch, bike still in gear, this time hand not on brake lever, didn't anticipate bike movement, the bike launched forward off the sidestand, tried to eject me into the roadway. Could have been lethal consequences had I not recovered the bike before it dropped to the roadway, I just managed to get it back up and out of the roadway before cars came around the blind mountain turn. The Clutch lever being slightly out of adjustment had no impact on shifting gears, and didn't miss one gear change. Stock clutch lever or Warp9 aftermarket, clutch freeplay 1/16 to 1/4 made no difference. I can not replicate the hazard, it occurred randomly. Technically, weather the neutral light illuminates on the dash or not, in gear, deploying the side stand should kill the bike. Dealer can not duplicate what to we do now?Read more

I have an Audi Q7. Yesterday you could smell gas in the car and my 6 year old said he had a headache. I got in the car today and did not smell gas. Due to safety concerns, I immediately bought took the car to Dandini's in Westerville, Ohio. This autoshop only services Audi and VWs and their repair staff is certified in Audi and has worked at Audi dealerships. When I got to the dealership the
... inside of the car had a strong odor of gasoline. When we went back to the car 10 minutes later it still had a strong odor of gasoline when you opened the door. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a fuel filter issue. He said it was under a recall. The recall number is 16V-660 and may have been expanded. He called Audi and Audi said they could either replace the faulty fuel filter or put a patch on the faulty part. On my vehicle, they performed the recall by putting a patch on the fuel filter. They said they had no responsibility to replace the fuel filter - even though the patch failed - as they put a patch on it. That patch failed. I called Audi customer service and informed them the vehicle was unsafe to drive and they pushed me to go to a dealer and would not confirm if they would replace the part noting that there was not an active recall. Again, Audi said they would not do anything further on the recall since they put the patch on the filter even though the patch failed. The patch is sticky and melting and the failure could be due to heat or not being able to last long. See picture showing the patch failing. I replaced the fuel filter and the issue was resolved. It cost $577.98 to fix this issue. Audi refuses to reimburse I am emailing because there is a potential issue with the recall fix on the fuel filter issue on the Audi Q7. My patch failed. I was lucky that no one was injured due to the failure. You may want to review the issue on other recall repairs that did patches and not replacements. I was told by the dealership that they cannot keep the ABS control module in stock because they are constantly changing them out. It's been approximately 14 months since FCA issued its notice for a voluntary safety recall on inspection/replacement of the HPFP for my vehicle and no action has been taken by the manufacturer as of this date. The dealership still indicates that no repair parts are available.

After resetting the system by disconnecting the battery, it now has the "would you like to change your clock settings" dialogue box pop up and no matter what you do, it pops right back up and you cannot control anything.
