2025 Kawasaki Z H2 / ZR1000SNF VIN: [XXX] This motorcycle has experienced multiple serious mechanical failures at extremely low mileage, and I am concerned that it presents an ongoing safety risk. At approximately 2,259 miles, the transmission suffered a major failure requiring warranty repair. Following that repair, the motorcycle exhibited abnormal transmission behavior, including unexpectedly
... entering neutral or an apparent false neutral during quick-shift upshifts. This resulted in sudden loss of drive and engine over-revving. At approximately 4,200 miles, the motorcycle then suffered a catastrophic engine failure involving a dropped valve. The motorcycle was again returned for extensive warranty repair. After an extended period out of service, I picked the motorcycle up from the servicing dealer, RideNow Powersports [XXX], on XXX. The motorcycle still does not appear to be operating normally or safely. During the ride home immediately after receiving it from the dealer, the check-engine light illuminated and the motorcycle exhibited extremely severe vibration. The vibration was dramatically greater than normal and severe enough that I am concerned about continuing to operate the motorcycle. This motorcycle has therefore experienced a catastrophic transmission failure, abnormal gear engagement/false-neutral behavior following the transmission repair, a catastrophic dropped-valve engine failure, and now a check-engine warning and severe abnormal vibration immediately following the engine repair. These repeated failures have occurred on a nearly new motorcycle with very low mileage. A sudden loss of drive, unexpected neutral condition, engine failure, or severe mechanical failure while riding a motorcycle can result in loss of control and presents a significant safety concern. The motorcycle has been serviced by: TC Motorcycles, LLC d/b/a RideNow Powersports [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

My 2025 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R ABS KRT Edition suffered a catastrophic engine failure at approximately 2,300 miles, resulting in a physical hole/breach in the engine crankcase and loss of engine oil. The motorcycle is currently at the selling Kawasaki dealer, Motorcycle Mall in [XXX]. This motorcycle is affected by Kawasaki/NHTSA safety recall campaigns involving the #5 crankshaft bushing and crank
... case bolt loading, including NHTSA Recall 25V376 and the subsequent related recall 25V798 / Kawasaki MC25-11. Recall 25V376 had reportedly been performed before I purchased the motorcycle new on XXX. The motorcycle was subsequently subjected to the later recall remedy while I owned it. Kawasaki issued these recalls because insufficient oil clearance/excessive loading at the #5 crankshaft bushing could cause crankshaft seizure, engine stalling, and sudden loss of motive power. Despite the recall remedies, my engine suffered catastrophic internal failure and breached the crankcase. I am reporting this because the failure occurred after recall-related repairs and appears potentially related to the same engine/crankshaft defect addressed by the recalls. A sudden engine seizure or catastrophic engine failure on a motorcycle can cause loss of control, crash, serious injury, or death. I request that NHTSA investigate this as a possible post-recall remedy failure and evaluate the effectiveness of the recall repairs. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle, I began experiencing intermittent electrical and driver assistance system malfunctions. These issues included warning messages, unexpected system behavior, and periods where multiple advanced driver assistance features were unavailable or disabled. The problem first occurred around April 4, 2025, at approximately 665 miles. Since then, the issue has occurred
... intermittently and has been difficult to predict or reliably reproduce. I brought the vehicle to an authorized dealer multiple times for warranty repair. On at least one visit, the dealer was unable to duplicate the concern. On subsequent visits, the dealer performed warranty-related diagnostics and repairs; however, the original issues have not been clearly confirmed as resolved. At times, the vehicle was deemed drivable but not confirmed to be fully repaired. Manufacturer technical assistance (STAR/engineering) has been involved in reviewing data and test results. As of the most recent service visit, the vehicle remains under review, and I do not have confirmation that the root cause has been identified or corrected. The intermittent nature of the malfunction and loss of driver assistance features creates concern for vehicle reliability and safety, especially when the systems fail without warning.Read more

I am submitting this complaint to report a serious and repeated safety-related electrical failure involving my 2023 Jeep Compass. While driving, the vehicle experienced a sudden and dangerous electrical malfunction. The windshield wipers activated on their own, both digital screens began flashing uncontrollably with warning messages, headlights and dashboard controls turned on and off without dri
... ver input. Most critically, the automatic emergency braking system became disabled while the vehicle was in motion. During the first service visit to an authorized Jeep dealership, I was informed that the Body Control Module (BCM) was not responding, and that multiple vehicle systems showed inactive status and communication failures. The dealership stated they could not identify the root cause. Instead of repairing the issue, the system faults and communication errors were cleared/reset, the battery was replaced “as a precaution,” and the vehicle was released without a confirmed repair. The next day, the same failure occurred again while driving on the highway. The windshield wipers activated randomly, the screen displayed a red warning stripe, multiple system failure messages appeared, and the emergency braking system was disabled at highway speed. This created an extremely dangerous situation. The vehicle behaved unpredictably, critical safety systems were unavailable, and I could have been involved in a serious or fatal accident, putting my life and the safety of others at risk. Thankfully, my children were not in the vehicle at that time. Due to the severity of the malfunction, the vehicle was unsafe to operate and required towing back to the dealership. The issue remains unresolved. This appears to involve a serious defect with the Body Control Module (BCM), vehicle communication systems, and possible wiring or grounding faults, which directly affect vehicle safety and warrant investigation.Read more

Backup camera fails regularly even after software update to version 3.6.4. Video feed will stutter and lag, which gives the driver an unreliable view out the back of the car when reversing. Additionally, the screen will show a ‘Camera temporarily unavailable’ message when reversing, and no camera video feed is shown. The driver may be able to fix this by pressing the home button on the screen,
... and then tapping on the camera icon to bring up the video feed again, however this may not always work and is an extra step/distraction for the driver. This issue puts pedestrians, animals, vehicles, and other property at risk. Due to the design of the car, there is extremely limited visibility through the side and rear windows of the car. Without a reliably functioning backup camera, drivers may accidentally strike pedestrians or vehicles when reversing. When the issue was brought to the attention of my local Polestar/Volvo service center, I was told there was no solution they could offer and owners must wait for the issue to be solved with future OTA software updates to the vehicle. Polestar has issued several OTA updates, but the issue has not improved whatsoever. A quick search of Polestar forums and Reddit threads will confirm that this issue is widespread across the entire Polestar 2 fleet, with many owners reporting the issues described above. One more note: this camera issue has presented itself throughout the 3+ years I’ve owned the vehicle, however it has worsened over time. It is my opinion (and the opinion of many other Polestar owners) that the infotainment computer is seriously underpowered and in this car. Other apps and functions have presented errors and have become sluggish and unreliable (maps, Spotify, etc) and I believe it is because the system is running out of memory or other resources.Read more
