What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The vehicle experiences a severe front-end steering and suspension oscillation commonly referred to as “death wobble.” After driving over uneven pavement, bridge joints, potholes, or rough highway surfaces at highway speeds, the steering wheel begins violently shaking side-to-side and the front
... suspension appears to oscillate uncontrollably. The vehicle becomes difficult to steer and maintain lane control until speed is significantly reduced. The issue first occurred at approximately 10,000 miles and has recently returned. Although the current episodes are somewhat less severe than the initial event, the vehicle still becomes unstable above approximately 65 mph and cannot be safely driven at normal highway speeds. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? This defect creates a serious safety hazard because the steering instability occurs suddenly at highway speeds and makes the vehicle feel temporarily out of control. During the initial in incident, the steering wheel shook violently after hitting an uneven section of highway pavement, and I believed I could lose control of the vehicle or collide with surrounding traffic. The only way to stop the oscillation is to rapidly reduce speed to approximately 50 mph or lower, which itself creates additional danger from surrounding vehicles traveling at highway speed. The recurrence of the issue has made me afraid to drive the vehicle on highways or at normal traffic speeds due to concern over loss of steering control and potential crash risk. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? The vehicle was serviced. The dealer performed the fix of the wheel damperer after the original occurrence. While those actions temporarily reduced the severity of the symptoms, they did not permanent. This is a known issue for Jeep's since 2018, I have had 3 and all 3 have had itRead more

Paint bubbling and aluminum body panel corrosion on hood and front doors of my 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (VIN [XXX] ), currently at 63,000 miles. This is a well-documented manufacturing defect affecting 2018-2021 JL Wrangler and 2020-2021 JT Gladiator vehicles with aluminum body panels. Stellantis has issued multiple Technical Service Bulletins addressing this exact condition: TSB 31-001-18 (Ma
... rch 2018), TSB 31-001-19 (July 2019), TSB 31-002-20 (October 2020), TSB 31-002-22 (December 2022), and most recently TSB 31-001-26 Revision A (February 2026), all titled "Aluminum Body Panel Corrosion Repair." The corrosion presents as paint bubbling along the leading edge of the hood and on the door panels. Filiform corrosion develops under the paint over many months before becoming visible. My corrosion warranty expired in January 2026, just one month before the latest TSB was issued. I am reporting this defect for federal documentation. The manufacturer has been aware of this defect for over 8 years (since 2018) and continues to issue revised TSBs rather than implementing a recall. A class action lawsuit ([XXX] et al. v. FCA US LLC) has been filed regarding this same defect. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

I bought this vehicle used in 2022 from CarMax. According to Jeep (Stellantis) Co. multiple recalls were fixed by the previous owner, but the patch available for 2018 Jeep Wranglers was not done. ... he FOB. When I used my FOB to unlock the doors, they would lock back before I could open the door. I was unable to use the push button start for a few minutes up to 15 minutes and in 2025 I was unable to use the push button at all on most days. I had to research a work around to be able to start my Jeep and even after that depending on the day, it takes several seconds to minutes to start it this way. On 2 different occasions as I was driving, I had no control over my steering for approx. 10 seconds. I held on to the wheel and slowed down. The control returned and I was able to drive home. I researched and found out that 2014-2018 had reports of hacking and the hacker taking control of the vehicle in multiple ways including steering, brakes, alarm system, and hacking FOB. My radio has been turned off and the stations changed. One of my FOBs was tampered with, including switching the lock and unlock button's capability, panic button was disabled, and now the FOB does not work at all. There is a loud grinding noise behind my glove box that can be heard at different times including when Jeep is turned off. Loud noises that sound like a rock hitting the window happen randomly to my front windshield, driver and passenger windows happens multiple times while I am driving and when vehicle is turned off. I took Jeep to a trusted mechanic and was told there was no way to tell and it would be better to just sell it. After I moved, I didn't experience these problems for a while, but am experiencing them again. I am concerned for my safety and anyone who may be a passenger in my Jeep.Read more

I am reaching out regarding ongoing safety and reliability concerns involving my 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S Launch Edition, leased in March 2025 from SMG Automotive Holdings, LLC in Brooklyn, New York. I previously pursued arbitration through NCDS; however, the case was dismissed after I accepted a settlement related to issues occurring before March 31, 2026. Unfortunately, the vehicle’s problems hav
... e continued beyond that date. Within months of leasing the vehicle, it became completely inoperable late at night and would not start, leaving me stranded. The first tow truck was unable to move the vehicle because it could not be shifted into neutral, requiring a second specialized EV tow truck and causing several hours of delay and missed work. After the vehicle was returned, I began experiencing severe battery-drain concerns. Despite multiple service visits and repair attempts, the issues persisted. I was later informed the vehicle required software updates related to the electric system. Most recently, after charging the vehicle to approximately 85%, warning lights appeared with the message: “STOP SAFELY — VEHICLE WILL SHUT OFF SOON.” The vehicle would not shift into drive, the interior lights began flickering, and the vehicle completely shut down again, leaving me stranded overnight until it could be towed to the dealership the following morning. As an educator and assistant principal, reliable transportation is critical to my responsibilities. These repeated failures have caused missed work, financial hardship, ongoing lease and insurance obligations, rental expenses, and serious safety concerns. At this point, I no longer feel safe operating this vehicle due to the repeated electrical and drivability failures. Despite working extensively with both the dealership and manufacturer, the underlying issues continue to persist. For these reasons, I am respectfully requesting assistance in resolving this matter and being permanently removed from this vehicle.Read more

The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. After prior battery/charging-related issues and recent Jeep recall service, the vehi
... cle displayed a “Service Charging System” warning and the check-engine light came on. While driving home, the vehicle did not decelerate normally when I removed my foot from the accelerator. It felt like the Jeep continued propelling itself or maintaining speed without accelerator input. I drove approximately one mile down my street at about 40 mph, and the vehicle did not slow down as expected unless I applied the brakes firmly. I had to brake harder than normal to slow the vehicle. This created a serious safety risk because the vehicle appeared to continue moving at speed without normal deceleration, which could have caused a crash or prevented me from stopping in time. After the incident, the vehicle also turn off. It took multiple tries and about 20 minutes to turn off. The “Service Charging System” message and check-engine light remained on. The problem has not yet been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center, but I am arranging for the vehicle to be towed/inspected and do not intend to drive it due to the safety concern. The vehicle was recently inspected/serviced by a Jeep dealer for recall-related work before this incident. I am requesting that the dealer/manufacturer inspect the vehicle and preserve all DTCs, freeze-frame data, module update records, HV battery/charging diagnostics, and any available accelerator/brake/propulsion data. No crash or injury occurred, but the vehicle created a serious safety risk. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

I had a recall completed in March 2023 for transmission issues. Since January 2026, my vehicle has been in a repair for a part that is backorder. The part is Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM). The part number is 68540646AA for a 2014 Jeep Cherokee Latitude V6 3.2 4x4. I feel that this is unfair and it has caused me and my family undue hardship. After I obtain this part, then other parts such as
... O2 sensor and the thermostat has to be replaced as well. I feel that Stellanis should cover the cost of all of the repairs.Read more

Instrument cluster failure. I completed a short trip wherein it was working fine. Went back out several hours later to return home at midnight. The instrument cluster had no power and did not function. I am currently driving with no speedometer, no tachometer, no fuel gauge. I am flying blind because of a known defect in Jeep instrument clusters (NHTSA report 24V652000) between 2020-and 2024. Reca
... ll 30b was used to narrowly target other jeeps...but mine somehow does not qualify meaning it is my problem...though it is a well enough known issue that they have a recall on other instrument clusters just failing. As we know from Fight Club they have no intent to do recalls on anything other than the least cost to themselves: “Wherever I'm going, I'll be there to apply the formula. I'll keep the secret intact. It's simple arithmetic. It's a story problem. If a new car built by my company leaves Chicago traveling west at 60 miles per hour, and the rear differential locks up, and the car crashes and burns with everyone trapped inside, does my company initiate a recall? You take the population of vehicles in the field (A) and multiple it by the probable rate of failure (B), then multiply the result by the average cost of an out-of-court settlement (C). A times B times C equals X. This is what it will cost if we don't initiate a recall. If X is greater than the cost of a recall, we recall the cars and no one gets hurt. If X is less than the cost of a recall, then we don't recall.” ― [XXX] lub [XXX] I [XXX] (B)(6) INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

My 2024 Jeep Wagoneer L with the 3.0L Hurricane engine began experiencing drivability and warning-light failures at very low mileage and within the first year of ownership. The vehicle was purchased new in October 2024 and experienced its first major drivability/towing event at approximately 10,372 miles. Over the following months, the vehicle experienced repeated check engine light events, shakin
... g, sputtering, hard starting, loss of throttle responsiveness, drivetrain hesitation, and multiple towing incidents despite repeated dealership repair attempts. The most severe safety event occurred in May 2026 at approximately 18,850 miles while traveling on the interstate with my family and young children. Prior to this event, a Florida Jeep dealership documented diagnostic codes P21A0 (Cylinder 5 Air/Fuel Ratio Imbalance) and P0430 (Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold) and specifically documented in writing that “the #5 fuel injector is causing the fault” and likely damaged the catalytic converter. Despite this, we were advised the vehicle should be safe to drive home. While driving on the highway the following day, the check engine light began flashing and audibly beeping continuously, the vehicle began shaking aggressively, and acceleration responsiveness deteriorated significantly while traveling at highway speeds. We were forced to immediately exit the highway and abandon the vehicle at a Jeep dealership in Georgia due to safety concerns and fear the vehicle could become unresponsive in traffic. The vehicle has been inspected multiple times by authorized Jeep dealerships in South Carolina, Florida, and Georgia. Earlier repair attempts attributed the issues to software/update-related causes. The Georgia dealership later replaced the catalytic converter but did not directly address the injector-related concern because the condition was not actively reproducible during their inspection despite the prior dealership’s written findings.Read more

Oil cooler failure at 7 years and 90000 miles. This is a known engineering issue due to a plastic housing that is resolved by upgrading the oil cooler housing to aluminum instead of plastic. It’s a $1000 repair. Because this is an engineering issue the consumer should not have to pay the entire cost of the repair. This is a SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARD DUE TO THE LEAKAGE OF OIL CAUSED BY THIS
