I am filing a formal safety complaint regarding my Mercedes-Benz Metris serviced at Mercedes-Benz Coconut Creek (Florida) under Recall VS2LAS561 – 9789VMCRC (Customer Service Case #20781216). On February 12th, I delivered the vehicle for recall service. It was returned on February 23rd without the recall properly completed. Invoice no. 328897 – tag T9514 lists replacement of four Continental
... 235/55 R17 tires and installation of four PRS sensor repair kits. These items were not installed. The tires were placed in the trunk, and only three used sensors are present; one wheel has no sensor. Additionally, the dealership provided 235/55 R17 tires, while the vehicle is homologated for 225/55 R17. Supplying non-approved tire sizes represents a safety concern. Since purchase (from the same dealership), I have reported tire pressure irregularities and abnormal lateral tire wear. During the most recent service, no tire rotation was performed despite documented uneven wear. Two weeks prior to the recall visit, I experienced a highway tire blowout while traveling with my family. When attempting to install the spare tire, I discovered the wheel lock removal key had been removed during a prior Mercedes service and not returned. I was unable to change the tire and required roadside assistance. The lug bolts had to be forcibly removed by an external shop, potentially damaging wheel components. The dealership has not properly resolved these safety-related issues. I do not feel safe operating this vehicle under current conditions. I request investigation into: • Recall execution compliance • Tire size compliance with vehicle specifications • Improper documentation of uninstalled parts • Removal of required emergency equipment (wheel lock key) These issues present potential safety risks to vehicle occupants and other road users. Thanks.Read more

Car would start and shake really hard with noise coming from engine, and then car would die. Since then I have been going back and forth with Hyundai Motors and Hyundai dealer, telling them that this is not a warranty issue, but a safety issue and they both have ignored and didn't enology this at all. This happened October 4th, 2025 Recall of 182 was completed but it failed. The vehicle is at the Dalton Hyundai dealer in Nation City. Dealer confirmed zero compression in engine and want $5000 to tare engine to see if it would be under warranty but I keep telling them this is a safety issue that is still accruing and under the 573 Recall/19v-204 I tried to get help throw the BBB and got denied because of age and being the second owner and they told me to contact NHTSA I am a single mother of two young kids, I bought car on 01/26/25 and still owe money on car. A manufacturer recall was issued for a defect involving the fuel system (fuel injectors), but no remedy or repair timeline has been provided. Due to the safety risk (potential fuel leakage and/or fire), I cannot reasonably use the vehicle without concern for liability if harm were to occur. Additionally, the recall must be marked as resolved in the NHTSA database before the vehicle can be returne

The extended and indefinite repair timeline creates a significant burden, as the vehicle remains unusable with no clear resolution date. I have contacted both the dealer and the manufacturer, but no satisfactory resolution or timeline has been provided. No warning lights or prior symptoms were observed. The issue has not been independently reproduced, as it is a manufacturer-identified defect. The vehicle has not been repaired because no remedy is available. While driving the vehicle the passenger side of my rear window shattered due to the rear defroster circuit overheating. ... to vehicles manufactured at certain locations, or many other factors could lead to my truck not being covered. My vehicle has the power sliding center window - I have researched and have seen a ton of vehicles with this same rear window have the exact same issue as I did. Even the same side breaks. I don't understand how mine is not covered under the recall so many others are. This currently has not been fixed - I am concerned that the same issue will occur even after getting it fixed. I feel it should be not only covered under the recall, but the faulty part causing the issue should be replaced just as it has been with all the covered vehicles. I am asking for this to be reviewed further and expanding the vehicles covered under this recall. It is a very unsafe problem that can cause fire and injury. I am filing this complaint regarding a serious and recurring steering system defect involving my Mercedes-Benz vehicle and Recall Campaign No. 2017120022 (steering column defect). Mercedes-Benz corporate representatives provided conflicting information regarding whether the recall repair was completed in 2018. One representative stated it was performed; another stated no record exists. I was never
... notified that a recall repair had been completed. This inconsistency raises immediate concerns regarding recall documentation integrity and owner notification compliance. The identical steering column system has now failed again, resulting in a complete steering column lock and vehicle immobilization. The repair estimate exceeds $2,500. A total steering lock is a critical safety failure with clear risk implications. If the recall repair was completed, recurrence of the exact same safety-critical component failure within only a few years strongly indicates that the original recall remedy was either improperly performed, defective in itself, or fundamentally inadequate to eliminate the defect. Steering column assemblies are not routine wear items. Mercedes-trained master technicians have confirmed that such failures are rare over a vehicle’s lifetime and highly unusual shortly after replacement. Federal safety recall law requires manufacturers to fully and permanently remedy safety defects at no cost to the consumer. A failed recall remedy that results in repeat failure of the same component shifts the burden improperly onto the owner and undermines the purpose of the recall system. I respectfully request that NHTSA formally investigate whether Recall 2017120022 has resulted in recurring steering column failures following recall repairs, evaluate the sufficiency of the remedy, review Mercedes-Benz USA’s recall tracking and notification procedures, and require reimbursement if the defect represents a failed recall correction. This matter shows a serious vehicle safety concern.Read more

Incident date: Jan 30, 2026
I have the Foundation Cyberbeast, the model which has an OEM light bar on windshield. While driving on 2-22-2026 at approximately 3:30 pm on the 5 freeway near Santa Ana, the appx 4 ft long light bar flew off and ricocheted violently on vehicle, while still attached by the power cord. This damaged many parts of my vehicle, specifically the glass roof, front windshield, and various body components
... which were shattered or scratched. I cut my hands. Your database says there are 0 open recalls and that is a lie by Tesla, because they sent me a notice months ago saying they are awaiting mechanical attachment methods. So they know they need to change the attachment method from epoxy to mechanical, but are falsely reporting to the government that they already did so.Read more
