My vehicle is under an active recall C4B/NHTSA 24V-896. This recall was issued on Nov 27, 2024. According to the manufacturer there is no repair part available as of today Mar9, 2026. That is completely unacceptable. My ABS system has been compromised for 2 years now. I have been driving with an ABS system that has failed and poses a great risk. Since this recall was issued 15 months have gon
... e by. I find it implausible that the manufacturer has not been able to engineer a remedy for this. They are leaving a huge risk on the road. They should not be allowed to let this much time elapse. If they can not come up with a repair then they should be replacing my vehicle. I would like to know what the NHTSA is doing about this situation.Read more

I had to drive this ‘shaking-car’ home approximately 35 miles away, while going about 30-40 mph/in a shaking car, seems car wanted to stop. Very frightening in the dark night. b.I had a wrecker come and take the car back to dealership. I do not care to deal with dealership after this—I changed to different dealership. c.About 3 years ago, while driving on US 8 outside of Rhinelander the car just ‘simply’ went off the highway; I quickly managed to bring the car back onto the highway blacktop. Is this for real? i.Until July 2025 I worked 40 hours/week and I believed and trusted that the repair services would inform me that I needed to beware of ‘this or that’; when usual car maintenance was completed. d.In 2019, going through a ‘Traffic Circle’ in Green Bay, WI area; this vehicle just would not stop (as I need to wait for cars coming from the left) and somehow, I made it through that circle without hitting another car or damaging this car! The police officer asked, ‘What happened?’ and I told him, ‘I have no idea what happened’. I was given a ticket for $175; that was mailed with a check before a certain date. i.Now, after reading all the ‘recalls and complaints’ I can understand ‘the why’ I had to endure driving with this vehicle’s unreliable mechanisms” throughout these years. 5)2021 Air bag ‘red light’ for Service recall Airbag/serviced. 2-19-2026 airbag another warning to replace again. Collision Mitigation Braking System camera failure indictions appeared in the dashboard control center. I took the vehicle to the Honda dealership who stated there is not an active recall and that this was not a covered expense. Out of caution because I have read of the system failues causing brake lock-up related to over 40 vehicular crashes and almost twice that number of injuries, I decided
... to immediately obtain this $2,000 repair. I contact Honda of America to start a claim for a goodwill reimbursement and they told me only (and repeatedly) that the vehicle was too old, out of warranty and that they WOULD NOT consider reimbursement of the repair to this integrated and vital safety system. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has documented 2,976 complaints involving unintended automatic braking in Honda vehicles, with 47 crashes and 93 injuries reported. These issues involve Honda vehicles equipped with camera-based collision mitigation braking systems similar to the one used in the 2017 Pilot. Because this failure involves a core safety system component, and because there is: -documented evidence of system-wide safety investigations -thousands of consumer complaints -shared safety technology across the Honda lineup I requested reimbursement from Honda America. They made ZERO effort to acknowledge this safety system fault and clearly stated they would not reimburse me NOR would the customer service representative provide me with any guidance on how to further pursue the matter. NHTSA complaints involving the 2017 Honda Pilot reference failures involving the Collision Mitigation Braking System, Lane Keeping Assist System, and Adaptive Cruise Control warnings, all systems dependent on the same forward-facing camera architecture. Front multipurpose camera replacement was the final repair needed and NOT reimbursed.Read more

While driving, my vehicle experienced a sudden and complete engine failure without any prior warning. There were no warning lights, dashboard alerts, or performance issues that would have indicated an impending mechanical problem. The failure occurred unexpectedly while I was actively driving on a public roadway. After the incident, the vehicle was inspected and diagnosed by a licensed mechanic.
... The diagnosis determined that an internal engine lifter failed, which subsequently caused damage to the camshaft. This type of failure appears to be the result of an internal mechanical defect rather than any form of neglect or improper maintenance. The abrupt nature of this engine failure created a serious safety hazard. The vehicle suddenly lost the ability to operate normally, forcing me to slow down and stop in active traffic. This unexpected loss of power placed my safety, as well as the safety of other motorists on the road, at significant risk. A critical engine component failing without warning while the vehicle is in operation raises serious concerns about reliability and safety. The vehicle has been properly maintained throughout ownership. All routine maintenance and servicing have been performed by licensed mechanics, and I can provide complete maintenance records documenting this history. At no point prior to this incident were there any signs, warnings, or diagnostic alerts indicating an issue with the engine. The vehicle has already been fully inspected and diagnosed by a licensed mechanic, and the findings are available for review. If necessary, arrangements can be made for the manufacturer or an authorized representative to inspect the vehicle and verify the damage. Given the sudden nature of this failure, the internal engine damage involved, and the safety risk it created while driving, I am requesting that this issue be formally reviewed and addressed by the manufacturer.Read more

This truck has a 6.2 engine that was recalled, inspected, and made the switch to the new oil, but then failed. I believe you already have a recall query rq26001 related to this matter. I received the recall notice July 2025, took the vehicle to Covert Bee Cave in Austin, TX July 2025. They told me it passed inspection and put the new oil cap on. Within two weeks I began having transmission iss
... ues. I left the truck with them for three weeks and they could not do anything about the transmission. The transmission issue did not reappear until a couple of weeks ago. I took it to Capitol Chevrolet and they replaced a shifter rod in the transmission, but I am not convinced that was the issue as it still shifted rough. Just a couple of days later, before I could take it back to have Capitol look at the transmission, and while driving on an Interstate south of San Antonio, TX, the engine slowed down, flashed a warning "Oil Pressure Low Turn Vehicle Off" and it continued to slow. I was barely able to exit the Interstate, the truck stopped and would not restart. I had it towed to Vara Chevrolet in San Antonio ($440 tow expense) and it still would not start. The technician finally inspected it a few days later, said the engine is seized, and they will need to replace the entire engine, and that it is covered under warranty (there was plenty of oil in my engine). He did not say anything about the transmission. I believe this is an example of my vehicle passing the recall inspection, changing to the new oil, and the engine still failing - and at a very dangerous time on the interstate.Read more

The TPMS system failed in the ECM or engine computer. It uses the wheel speed sensors on each hub to measure differences in wheel speed and uses this to infer if any one wheel has low tire pressure. (This vehicle does not have TPMS sensors in the wheels.) However, with this failure, it reports a tire pressure problem even though all 4 tires are inflated properly. This problem persists even after
... cleaning then replacing wheel speed sensors. The problem appears to be in the ECM or engine computer, which is very difficult and expensive to replace. With this problem, the driver is never able to tell if any tire actually has low pressure because the system always reports that a tire has low pressure. This has been reported one time before but the situation has gotten worse when driving at approximately 60ish miles per hour but it starts doing it about between 50 and 70 mph when driving and the car is using the regular engine not the EV section. ... econd time as I'm driving I lose the ability to accelerate at all and no matter what I do the car will slow almost every warning light on the dash comes on and there are 11 different warnings I've uploaded photos of a few I have a video though also and you lose complete power and ability to drive warning lights such as power steering problem emissions problem powertrain problem all of those are part of what turns on if you try to move the vehicle it will not move unless it is an EV mode and even then it only works for several feet but you can't get over a few miles per hour if you are on the highway like I was going 65 mph and there's traffic is extremely dangerous the only reason I was not hit was because I turn my emergency lights on and was able to maneuver my vehicle to the shoulder safely had I been in a more busy section of the road or had I been in an area where I could not get off the road I would have been hit by another vehicle. The transfer case in my Acura TLX Type S failed due to the internal splines stripping at approximately 57,600 miles. I heard a loud bang while attempting to maneuver out of a parking spot that was covered in snow. When this occurred, the transfer case was no longer able to transfer power to the rear wheels, causing the all-wheel-drive system to stop functioning. As a result, the vehicle effectivel
... y operated as front-wheel drive only. The most concerning part of this failure is that the vehicle provided no warning whatsoever to the driver. There were no dashboard alerts, drivetrain warnings, AWD system warnings, or check engine lights indicating that the AWD system had failed. The vehicle continued to operate and display information as if everything was functioning normally. This occurred during the winter in New York while driving in snowy conditions, where the AWD system is critical for traction and safety. Because there was no warning that the AWD system had failed, I continued driving the vehicle assuming it still had AWD capability. On multiple occasions the vehicle became stuck in snow due to the loss of rear-wheel power. A critical drivetrain component such as a transfer case should not fail under normal driving conditions at this mileage. Additionally, a vehicle equipped with AWD should provide a clear warning to the driver if the system is no longer functioning. The absence of any warning combined with a sudden loss of AWD capability creates a serious safety concern, particularly in winter climates where drivers rely on AWD for traction and control. Under the wrong circumstances this type of failure could potentially lead to an accident or serious injury.Read more

2018 Nissan Rogue. With just over 96,000 miles. I have been working on cars for 35 years and understand mechanics at a professional level. What component or system failed or malfunctioned?: Oil level sensor. Oil temp sensor. Knock sensor. Complete rod bearing failure. Outrageously high Oil temperature and Oil consumption. Rod Bearing started knocking. There were no warning lights or Low Oil lev
... el warnings. I was driving home from work yesterday and out of nowhere the rod bearing started knocking with no previous symptoms. I Immediately pulled over and checked the oil level. It was literally dry as a bone. It was so low I had to add 2.5 quarts to even show on the dipstick and 3.5 quarts to get it to acceptable levels. Not only did this literally ruin my engine, it's going to cost over $6,000 to repair. This is obviously related to the current lawsuit against Nissan for the exact same issue involving 2019-2026 models and should have also included 2018 models. This is an incredibly dangerous safety concern, as an unlubricated engine and/or overheated oil can cause total engine lock up and friction welding of internal engine components (which is what happened to me) can lead to serious accidents, stalls, and is a massive fire and explosion danger. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Description of Fault This vehicle exhibits a recurring, intermittent failure of the electronic throttle control system. Three distinct symptom patterns have been observed: 1.Throttle non-responsive at stop-start (approx. monthly/bi-monthly): After coming to a complete stop (e.g. at a traffic light), pressing the accelerator pedal produces no engine response. The vehicle will not move. Switching th
... e ignition fully off and performing a cold restart resolves the issue immediately. 2.Throttle failure while vehicle was in motion (Wednesday, March 4, 2026): While my wife was driving the vehicle, the throttle stopped responding entirely mid-journey. The accelerator pedal produced no engine response while the vehicle was moving at speed. This is a direct and serious safety hazard. As with other incidents, switching the ignition fully off and performing a cold restart resolved the issue. 3.Erratic/hypersensitive throttle response on inclines: On slight uphill gradients, a light press of the accelerator pedal produces a disproportionately strong acceleration response, suggesting inconsistent signal output from the accelerator pedal position sensor (APPS). Safety Concern The occurrence of complete throttle loss while the vehicle was in motion — experienced by my wife on March 4, 2026 — is a serious safety defect. A driver who loses throttle response at highway speed, on a merge, or when crossing an intersection is at significant risk of collision. I am formally documenting this concern so that it is part of the vehicle's permanent service record.Read more

My husband, [XXX] son, my [XXX] mother-in-law, and I were traveling on the expressway at approximately 70 miles per hour in our 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with the 5.3L engine when the dashboard suddenly lit up with warning lights and alarms. My husband looked in the rear-view mirror and saw a large amount of smoke coming from the truck. We immediately had to cross two lanes of heavy traffic t
... o reach the shoulder and get off the roadway safely. When I opened my door, I could see that engine oil was pouring from the truck and running down the expressway. We were stranded on the side of the expressway for over an hour before my brother was able to come pick us up. The tow truck company advised that it would take several hours before they could arrive. During that time, vehicles continued traveling at highway speeds and did not slow down despite our disabled truck being on the shoulder. The truck was shaking from the wind and force of cars and trucks passing by at high speeds. This created an extremely dangerous situation, particularly with our [XXX] child and my elderly mother-in-law in the vehicle. The truck was eventually towed to a local repair shop, where the mechanic determined that the engine oil cooler line had broken at the crimp, causing a significant oil leak. The repair required replacement of the oil cooler lines and related components at a cost of $2,109.92. Had we continued driving even briefly, the engine likely could have been severely damaged or destroyed due to the rapid loss of oil. This appears to match the known issue described in GM Customer Satisfaction Program N212326940 regarding oil cooler lines detaching from the crimp on 2019 Chevrolet Silverado trucks. issue with Death Wobble. Factory 2" leveling lift was installed. Shortly after that I had issues. I was informed to replace the steering damper. that didnt fix the issue. Then I replaced the drag link with a after market one and the issue is better. But it is still an issue on some roads. the death Wobble is still there.

Rearview camera has been faulty for years and there is still not a fix. I have almost hit people reversing bc of this issue. I will be backing up and the camera is fine and then all of the sudden it messes up with lines and weird colors in the middle of backing up. This is dangerous and hazardous.

Date: 3/7/2026 I am submitting this complaint regarding a potentially serious safety issue with my 2025 Ford Escape Plug-in Hybrid manufactured by Ford Motor Company. My vehicle began displaying multiple warning messages including “High Voltage Battery Warning,” “Powertrain Malfunction,” and “Service Engine Soon.” These warnings appeared while the vehicle was charging using a Level 2
... charger, which raises significant concerns about the safety and reliability of the vehicle’s high-voltage electrical system. After these warnings appeared, I brought the vehicle to an authorized Ford dealership for diagnosis and repair. The vehicle has now been in the repair shop for approximately 30 days, reportedly waiting on parts related to the high-voltage battery or powertrain system. This situation raises several concerns: The possibility of a defect in the high-voltage battery system. The potential for sudden loss of power or drivetrain failure. The risk associated with charging a vehicle that displays high-voltage battery warnings. Extended vehicle downtime due to the lack of available replacement parts. Given the critical safety implications of high-voltage battery systems in plug-in hybrid vehicles, I respectfully request that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigate whether this issue represents a broader defect affecting other vehicles of the same model.Read more

Audi A6s have had massive issues with the door actuators. There are times when you go open the passenger side doors (both front and rear) and the doors will not open as there is either an electrical, software, or device specific issue. It requires 2-3 pulls of the door latch to open the front and rear passenger doors. The issues keep appearing a month or two after the dealership supposedly fixes t
... he issue. I have had this fixed/reviewed 4+ times between Freehold, NJ and Cherry Hill, NJ Audi dealerships. This has been going on since I purchased the car in early 2021. I have asked them to push this up to Audi corporate and have received no response. Audi will also not offer a lemon buyout for these door issues. I believe this needs to be heavily reviewed as if you search the Audi forum websites online, this is a constant problem for the 2018-2023 A6s.Read more

UNKNOWN However multiple times the front end of the vehicle starts shaking when I try to break up especially on the highway. The dealership claimed to have repaired it once and shortly after it happened again. When I took it in they first looked and said the parts was ordered but nothing was done then came back and said oh yes it was done then refused to fix it without a charge so I had to pay
... to repair it since I feared that the brake would give out if I drive it. The other issue was the check engine light just popped up check engine while driving on the highway, when I take it in they are stating that I may have left the gas tank open which is absolutely false. They cleared it but could not or neglect to explain why it was on. All these incidents occur while on highways never in the general local areas.Read more
