my air bag light came on and I took it to a dealer and they said they repaired it by replacing a seat belt , a couple months later my car was in a hit and run and my front end was badly damaged and my air bags never deployed. they fixed my car and I got it back with the air bags light on again, took it back to the same dealer, they had the car and say they can't fix it, they said they looked aroun
... d the country and can't find any replacement parts, they say there is no way to repair my car. My car is unsafe to drive and they say it can't be fixed and I did everything I was supposed to do with the car, took got care of it and its got low mileage for the year and now i'm being told it's out of warranty and it's my problem not the dealers or hyundia's. i'm now on SSd and can't afford a $300-500 a month payment and requested a buy back do to faulty equipment and repair and now a year later i'm still waiting to get a yes or no, my car is not safe and i'm out of luck with my car, the repair didn't work when needed, someone should be responsable for repair or equipment liability to help me find something safe to drive not all on me.Read more

For the HYUNDAI Ioniq 5 XRT, the ICCU, fuse and perhaps hybrid battery malfunctioned. We were in a disabled car on a 4 lane highway with traffic: On February 10, 2026, as we drove out of our home we heard a loud pop. As we got out onto a large 4 lane road near our house, the notice “Check Electrical System” came on and the car’s power was drastically reduced. We made a U turn and drove (20
... mph) back to our driveway. We were fortunate that this was mid-day and the road was relatively clear. Normally this is an extremely busy road with traffic moving at 40-50 mph and we would have had great difficulty even pulling out to the side -- as there is only marginal side space on this road. Hyundai has confirmed to us that the ICCU and a related fuse failed. They also think the hybrid battery is also involved and they are testing to confirm that. We had no warning at all -- except for the electrical warning that came on as the car's power was reduced. The car had charged normally and had had no warning signals/signs at all.Read more

I request the following information be provided immediately: 1. Evidence of Overheating: Did the vehicle store any specific "overheating" codes in the ECU prior to the engine shutting off? 2. Oil Pan Inspection: Has the oil pan been removed to inspect for metal shavings or debris? If the connecting rod bearings failed (the recall issue), there will likely be metallic debris in the oil, regardless of the condition of the water hose. 3. Bearing Clearance Test (BCT): Was the mandated Bearing Clearance Test performed? If not, I request that this be done, or that a teardown be performed to inspect the rod bearings specifically. 4. I am writing to formally report a safety concern regarding my 2018 Hyundai Elantra. The vehicle has experienced a failure of the heater hose/pipe, which appears to be made of plastic and connected to a metal component. This failure has resulted in a coolant leak, creating a serious risk of engine overheating. This issue is not only inconvenient but also dangerous. A sudden loss of coolant while d
... riving can cause the engine to overheat without warning, potentially leading to engine failure, loss of vehicle control, or leaving the driver stranded in unsafe conditions. This is especially concerning while driving on busy roads or highways. Based on my experience and discussions with repair professionals, this appears to be a known issue with this model, as the part is not widely available outside of Hyundai/Kia and may indicate a design flaw. A critical cooling system component should not fail prematurely under normal driving conditions. Given the safety risks associated with this defect, I believe this issue warrants further investigation and consideration for a recall or extended warranty coverage. Consumers should not be responsible for costly repairs caused by a potentially defective design. I respectfully request that Hyundai review this issue and provide assistance with the repair, as well as take appropriate action to ensure the safety and reliability of affected vehicles. I have a 2019 Ford Fusion hybrid titanium, and it is exhibiting issues of a recall that Ford has issued for my year making model. But not specifically for my Vin. I am reporting a serious safety defect in my 2023 Ford F-150 Platinum SuperCrew (EcoBoost engine. The oil pressure warning light suddenly illuminated, indicating a loss of oil pressure. Immediately after, the engine suffered catastrophic failure (it "blew the engine"). At the same moment, with no input from me, the gear shifter automatically shifted from Drive into Park. This caused the transmissi
... on to lock up, resulting in violent skidding and the truck veering off the road. I was able to regain control and avoid a collision or rollover, but the incident created an imminent risk of serious injury or fatality, especially while towing. I have maintained it properly, never missed a payment on the $74,000 truck, and drove it cross-country from Arizona to Florida without prior issues. Ford Motor Company has claimed there were "70 warnings" prior to the failure, but I received **zero** dashboard warnings, lights, messages, or indications at any point leading up to or during the event. This is the second Ford F-150 I have owned with unexplained powertrain problems. I traded a 2018 F-150 for the platinum & it repeatedly stalled without reason & required the engine to cool before restarting; dealerships (FL & TN) could not fully diagnose it, with one suggesting an oil-pump-related overheating issue despite no warning lights. Repair estimates are extremely high: Gator Ford quoted $17,000, Brandon Ford quoted $14,000, Veterans Ford quoted $12,000, and an independent shop quoted $12,000 (notably, the independent shop knew the dealership quotes without me providing them). I believe this points to a potential defect in the EcoBoost engine's oil pump system (possibly excessive pressure or failure under load/towing) combined with an unintended shift-to-Park function in the transmission/shifter electronics, creating a dangerous loss of control at highway speeds while towing. This combination of sudden engine seizure and automatic shift to Park poses an unreasonable risk of crash.Read more

The base failed - the mechanism holding the seat into the base is .5 inch plastic spinner latches and if they fail and don’t deploy fully (which the green check mark shows), then it would be so unsafe and not connected to the car at all. This is what’s happening with my son’s car seat. It doesn’t indicate green and I have to jiggle the entire thing to get it to be green instead of red. Som
... etimes it sits half way between red and green. Also, the chest clip failed to connect after I had thought that I put my child in it properly, he touched it and un clipped himself from the seat, if I would not have noticed and kept driving, he could’ve been projected from the seat. If the seat is not attached to the base properly, it could eject from the seat in the event of an accident, which would be fatal. I am so unimpressed with this car seat, and I expect them to recall it. When trying to get the seat out to clean it, it was stuck and the detach key would not make the click sound and disconnect the seat from the base. Even with following the instructions exactly. The seat does not sit well in a Tesla; the seatbelt folds over itself. Also, while driving home today we noticed for the first time from the inside of the seat one indicator was red, and one indicator was green.Read more

Subject: Brake Booster/Pump Assembly Failure – Toyota Program ZJB / 23TE07 Description of Incident: I am reporting a failure of the brake booster and pump assembly on my 3rd Generation Prius (82,000 miles). While the vehicle is 11.3 years old, it is well under the 150,000-mile threshold of Toyota’s Customer Support Program ZJB. The brake pump began cycling every 13 seconds, indicating an int
... ernal pressure leak in the accumulator. This is a documented precursor to a total loss of power-assist braking. Despite the clear mechanical failure, no warning lamps or Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) were triggered, creating a safety hazard where the system could fail without prior electronic notification. Repair and Cost Details: Because the vehicle was 1.3 years past the arbitrary 10-year "Secondary Coverage" window, I was forced to pay $3,461.18 out-of-pocket for a known manufacturing defect. I would like to highlight a discrepancy in labor billing: while Toyota’s own technical bulletins (ZJB/23TE07) state the repair should take approximately 5.3 hours, the dealership charged 8.9 hours of labor for the same procedure. Safety Concern: By limiting coverage to 10 years, Toyota has left many low-mileage owners with a critical safety defect that degrades over time regardless of mileage. I request that the NHTSA transition this from a "Customer Support Program" to a formal Safety Recall to ensure all affected vehicles are repaired and owners are reimbursed, regardless of the vehicle's age.Read more

Incident date: Mar 4, 2026
The vehicle developed a progressive engine failure beginning in early 2024, including loud knocking noises at cold start and visible white/gray/black exhaust smoke. The condition worsened over time. In February 2026, the failure escalated to active oil discharge from the exhaust pipe while the engine was running. Oil exiting through the exhaust indicates internal engine failure (such as piston ri
... ngs, cylinder walls, or valve seal failure), not an external leak. This creates a safety risk including potential loss of power while driving, risk of engine seizure, and possible fire hazard due to oil in the exhaust system. The condition has been documented on video multiple times and was shown to dealership personnel. The vehicle was taken to a Hyundai dealership for evaluation and remains available for inspection. Despite this, no written diagnostic findings or repair determination have been provided. The issue has been persistent, progressive, and reproducible, and represents a potential defect affecting engine integrity and safe operation of the vehicle.Read more

This CHEAP fix is abhorrent! It calls for welding an adjustable part of the steering linkage rendering it non- adjustable when having the front end aligned in the future. The correct fix for this SAFETY issue is to REPLACE this steering linkage component, the entire Drag Link! NOT do a "back yard,

Require Chrysler (FCA US LLC) to REPLACE this defective part with the proper part. Note.... Chrysler is not welding the nuts on the drag links on trucks coming off the assembly line! They are coming off with proper, safe, adjustable drag links! I contacted FCA and they said they cannot redo the recall because it's out of the window to get it repaired again. This is not a safe fix. The recall says after this welding, the vehicle can still get a proper alignment from dealer, which is not true. I contacted the dealer and they said I should contact FCA, but that sent me back to my original issue. I can't get an alignment even though the recall fix says I can. I dealer refuses to do it. This CHEAP fix is abhorrent! It calls for welding an adjustable part of the steering linkage rendering it non- adjustable when having the front end aligned in the future. Not to mention the effect of welding, potentially causing a problem with the integrity of the metal. The correct fix for this SAFETY issue is to REPLACE this steering linkage component, the entire Drag Link! NOT do a "back yard,
... shade tree mechanic" weld job on the steering linkage of all things! I am appalled that NHTSA approved such a thing. PLEASE revisit this issue and do the right thing. I bought this truck used from the dealer and they wouldn't fix it at the time either. I pull a fifth wheel trailer with my truck and I need an alignment. I am on my second 2026 Honda Passport. The first one was taken to dealership 6 times (once at red rock Honda in Colorado and 5 times at Cleo bay in Texas) for a failed part in the steering wheel. The airbag and other parts were replaced and would fail again afterward. I had to replace it with another of the same vehicle because of so many problems and no suitable repair. My new 2026 Honda Passport
... started having same issue. I took it in and they replaced the whole steering wheel and then after about a month it failed again. There have been clicking and loose spring noises in steering wheel and now the brake. The dealership is requiring that I drive the car from my home to there (92 miles one way) and is refusing to tell me that this seemingly unknown issue is not a safety concern. My case numbers with Honda Corporate are 15880428 for the first car and 16204405 for the second car.Read more

Yes it is available for inspection upon request. The problem continues today.
