I am reporting a serious and ongoing safety issue involving my 2023 Kia Forte GT. The vehicle has experienced persistent mechanical problems, including a check engine light and multiple diagnostic trouble codes, including P0420 (catalyst system efficiency below threshold – Bank 1), P0300 (random/multiple cylinder misfire), P0304 (cylinder 4 misfire), and P0301 (cylinder 1 misfire). These codes h
... ave appeared as stored, pending, and permanent, indicating ongoing and unresolved engine and emissions system issues. In addition to these mechanical problems, the vehicle is emitting strong and concerning chemical fumes into the cabin during operation. These fumes are noticeable while driving and create a hazardous environment for occupants, raising concerns of toxic exposure and making the vehicle unsafe to operate. The vehicle also exhibits drivability issues, including jerking and performance irregularities when accelerating. Despite multiple attempts to have the vehicle diagnosed and repaired under warranty at authorized Kia dealerships, including All Star Kia East and All Star Kia Seigen Lane, the dealerships have refused to properly diagnose or repair the vehicle. I have been informed that my vehicle or account is “flagged in all systems,” and service has been denied on that basis. The refusal to address an emissions-related defect, combined with active misfires and the presence of chemical fumes entering the cabin, presents a serious safety risk. I am requesting that this issue be investigated as a potential safety defect affecting this vehicle.Read more

Some time around November the third row seat didn’t close, so I opened it back up, didn’t see anything stopping it, hit the button again, and then it closed but I heard a crunching noise - I reopened to discover there was a plastic storage box that ended up getting completely crushed. I didn’t think much about it, not even after the recall, until this week. The same left side of third row wa
... s closed. I went to open it to get ready to pack out for spring break and it opened half way and got stuck at a 45 degree open angle. It wouldn’t close or open again. During this same time trying to figure it out, my teenager opened the driver side rear door to get into the rear seat to see if something was getting it stuck. At the same time I opened the driver door and the driver seat automatically started moving backwards like always, but with my teenager being the driver seat and her foot got stuck under the driver seat because that sensor as well in the front seat didn’t stop when she was behind it. I think it is beyond just the serving and third rows and the front toe doesn’t have a proper sensor either. This was Friday at 4:50. I immediately called my dealer to see if they could help us get something fixed so we could leave for spring break as planned the next day and they said managers were already gone for the day and told my Hyundai corp needed to handle and gave me that phone number. Hyundai Corp. opened a ticket for me, but said that this was definitely something the dealer would have to handle in regards to getting me a rental and any matter of recourse. I called my local dealer back who said that no one would be able to talk to me until Monday so we had to delay our spring break trip and we are still in limbo, wondering what is going to happen tomorrow. My Husband is absolutely refusing to put our family of four children in the car at this moment because of the safety issues unresolved.Read more

1- at 71,000 miles in 2022 brake vacuum pump “exploded” broke into many small pieces in the middle of driving. Causing brakes to lock. Brake pedal was brick hard. Hard to maneuver the car out of traffic without causing a collision. Luckily car was not being driven at high speed. At time of repair costing $1,000 Mechanic informed me that the pump was made out of a non metal material and he coul
... d not fish the small particles out of the motor with a magnet. The motor would need to be taken apart, cleaned out and reassembled….. From this point forward the car drives in “low engine power mode” even with repairs completed and codes cleared. 2- 2 years later the same part “brake vacuum pump” exploded again. Another $1000 repair. At this time we discovered that the fine particles that were not removed from motor has now knocked the timing off by 8%. Also it has caused a knick in a seal causing an oil leak under 100k miles $1800 repair. After these extensive repairs…… The car emits gas fumes into cabin. The smell is so strong it can’t be parked in the garage because it circulates through the house. Even when car is not running. The Car can’t be driven because risk of fire or explosion from gas. Fuel system gets cleaned. Injectors replaced. The car temporarily runs without the gas smell. 2 weeks later the gas smell returns Come to find out the fuel pump failed. Search online and find there is a recall for fuel pumps in this same make model and year. But not this vin number. The car has been a headache from day 1. Recall the whole car at this point, to have so many faulty parts in such major systems of a car is crazy.Read more

The component that has malfunctioned is the hybrid inverter assembly, a loose internal bolt within the hybrid propulsion system. This vehicle is currently held at Fred Haas Toyota Country (Houston, TX) and is available for inspection upon request. My safety and the safety of the public are at risk because, as stated by the recall notice given on December 16 2025, this defect involves a bolt in the
... hybrid powertrain that "can become loose and could lead to a loss of motive power or could lead to a fire when the vehicle is on." The safety risk was confirmed by Fred Haas Toyota on March 6, 2026 and while there is no formal "Stop Drive" order, the dealership agreed to ground the vehicle and lend me a rental. As of today, March 28, 2026 there is still no remedy despite Toyota saying they "estimate the remedy can be available in the 1st quarter of 2026." Since my vehicle is currently in possession of the dealership, I am not sure if they have inspected it. Before I gave my car to Fred Haas Toyota Country I did not see any warning lights or messages, but the risk was still there (NHTSA 25V869000). My vehicle has been out of service for 22 days with no estimate repair date or remedy announced and the manufacturer has failed to provide a comparable loaner and has been unresponsive to my calls and messages. I am reporting a failure to remedy a known safety defect in a reasonable timeframe and am requesting an investigation into this delay and assistance with an appropriate rental or vehicle repurchase.Read more

Vehicle: 2022 Audi Q5 VIN: [XXX] Current Mileage: 60,221 DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM: I am filing this complaint regarding a recurring all-wheel-drive (AWD) system defect on my 2022 Audi Q5 that has persisted despite a prior repair performed under the factory warranty. SYMPTOMS: I have been experiencing the following symptoms primarily during tight turns, U-turns, and low-speed maneuvering such as
... in parking lots: - Jerking and lurching of the vehicle during turns - Grinding and clunking noises from the drivetrain during turns - Vibrations felt through the vehicle during turns - Symptoms occur at both low speeds and highway speeds REPAIR HISTORY: Approximately 1.5 years ago, while my vehicle was still under the Audi factory warranty, I brought my vehicle to an authorized Audi dealership for the exact same symptoms. The dealer performed an AWD fluid drain and refill per Audi Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) #2059057, which specifically addresses AWD clutch noise and vibration during turns on 2021-2023 Audi Q5 models. The dealer indicated the issue was resolved. RECURRENCE: The identical symptoms have since returned. My vehicle is now out of its factory warranty period. The dealer has not provided a permanent fix despite following the manufacturer's own TSB procedure. The repair performed under warranty has clearly failed to resolve the underlying defect. SAFETY CONCERN: The jerking and loss of smooth drivetrain control during turns, particularly at low speeds in parking lots and during U-turns, represents a safety hazard as it affects the driver's ability to maintain predictable vehicle control. This issue is especially dangerous in situations requiring precise maneuvering such as parking, merging, and navigating tight spaces. ADDITIONAL NOTES: - Audi TSB #2059057 acknowledges this as a known defect affecting 2021-2023 Q5 models - The same repair has failed to provide a lasting fix - Multiple owners of 2021-2023 Audi Q5 vehicles have reported identical INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATIORead more

On 3/18/26 i reported a serious safety issue involving my vehicle, which currently has an open manufacturer recall with no available remedy. The vehicle has experienced multiple dangerous and malfunctioning conditions. First, the vehicle intermittently displays a dashboard message indicating that the vehicle is "not in park" even when it is clearly in the park position. When this occurs, I am unab

I have had to wait approximately 15 minutes before the vehicle will allow me to shut it down.Second, while driving at approximately 40 mph, including while exiting the highway, the vehicle has stalled and completely shut off while in motion. This has occurred multiple times and created a significant safety risk due to sudden loss of power during active driving. Additionally, the vehicle frequently displays a message stating "engine warming, please wait to start," even when weather conditions are warm. Most recently, at approximately 70 degrees outside, the vehicle would not start and continued to display the message. I waited approximately one hour attempting to start the vehicle before it randomly started. These issues appear to be worsening. I attempted to schedule repair for the open recall, but I was advised by the manufacturer that there is currently no remedy available. Due to the vehicle stalling in motion and preventing proper shutdown and startup, I believe this represents a serious safety defect that puts me and others at risk. The vehicle previously experienced stalling while driving in motion. Upon inspection at my local Toyota dealership, the UA80F 8-speed transmission on my 2021 Toyota Highlander has a known whining noise attributed to a failed transmission pump. The whining noise occurs when the car accelerates from 0 to around 50 miles per hour. When it gets to highway speeds, there is no noise. Anyone in the car can be put at risk if the transmission stops functioning on the roadwa
... ys, and we're left stranded or we're suddenly blocking traffic. This issue is a known issue according to T-SB-0008-21, and there are many people online who seemed to have encountered this issue even beyond the warranty limits of 5 years/60,000 miles. Even my local AAMCO tells me that this is a dreaded and known issue of past customers. This issue first appeared around the 60,000 miles of distance traveled. There is no warning for this problem. You just have to be fortunate enough to discover the noise before the warranty deadlines. I discovered the noise at around 58,000 miles around June 2025, but I didn't know it was an issue back then. Had I known about this, I would've still qualified for the warranty. This noise has been reproduced and confirmed by my local Toyota dealership, and they're quoting me $11,506.53 to fix this issue. Other 3rd party transmission shops are quoting me ~$6,000. I'm frankly frustrated that Toyota did not issue a recall for this known issue that I did not cause. I wanted to drive this car for life, but I'm unsure what to do now. Either pay an exorbitant amount of money or sell it.Read more

The 62kWh High-Voltage Lithium-Ion Battery Pack. The vehicle is currently in my possession in Santa Fe, NM, and is available for inspection. It exhibits physical degradation (40.07% Hx) directly linked to the cell defects described in Recall 25V655. The vehicle is a documented fire risk. Per Recall 25V655, internal lithium deposits create resistance that leads to thermal incidents. Because my bat
... tery already shows terminal degradation (40.07% Hx and 3.18V sag), the risk of a fire during charging or operation is imminent. Furthermore, Nissan has banned Level 3 Fast Charging, which leaves me with no way to safely recharge the vehicle during necessary travel, creating a risk of being stranded in unsafe conditions. A terminal battery failure was officially diagnosed by an authorized Nissan dealer in Albuquerque in August 2025 at 108,000 miles. However, my local dealer (Fiesta Nissan in Santa Fe) has since refused to intake the vehicle for the recall because they are not EV-certified. Yes, by an authorized Nissan Dealer. As noted, the failure was confirmed in August 2025. Additionally, the vehicle is subject to a formal manufacturer safety recall (25V655 / R25C8) specifically for this battery defect. Symptoms appeared in August 2025 including severe range loss and power turtle mode. LeafSpy Pro diagnostics confirm a terminal 40.07% Hx rating and a dangerous 3.18V cell sag under load. Nissan's March 2026 recall notice confirms there is no current remedy to address these physical symptoms, and the proposed software 'fix' only monitors for failure rather than repairing the defective cells. Car immediately shut down on me on the Highway(around 55mph) and I was able to coast out of traffic and onto the shoulder. Car indicated having battery percentage around 58%(30KWH) still remaining. car also would not shift into neutral because battery was too low so towing was difficult. no neutral overide on car if battery is "dead".Read more

My 2018 Ford Escape, which has experienced catastrophic engine failure due to the well-documented coolant intrusion defect in the 1.5L EcoBoost engine. In early March 2026, without any prewarning or engine light, my vehicle displayed an “Engine Fault Service Now” warning and stored diagnostic trouble code P2601 (Coolant Pump A Control Circuit Performance/Range). I immediately took the vehicle
... to Bidwell Automotive in [XXX] , where on March 10–11, 2026, technician Gannon performed a thorough inspection. The findings were as follows: the coolant level was critically low; the water pump showed signs of leaking; the top of the piston in the affected cylinder appeared washed clean (a hallmark of coolant entering the combustion chamber); and the technician detected an odor consistent with combustion gases in the cooling system. The diagnosis was a suspected failed head gasket consistent with internal coolant intrusion. I then brought the vehicle to Future Ford Lincoln of Roseville, your authorized dealership, on March 12, 2026 (RO #XXX, Service Consultant [XXX] , Certified Technician [XXX] ). Future Ford verified the coolant intrusion into Cylinder 2 by removing the spark plugs and performing a borescope inspection. The dealership’s own technician referenced TSB 22-2322 and recommended either a short block replacement ($9,396.45) or a long block replacement ($13,331.01). The dealership confirmed that my vehicle has no remaining warranty coverage and offered no assistance beyond the paid repair estimate. Ford’s Documented Knowledge of This Defect Ford Motor Company has long been aware that the 1.5L EcoBoost engine in 2017–2019 Escape vehicles suffers from a structural design defect in the engine block’s cooling passages that causes coolant to intrude into the cylinders. 1. The Hybrid Battery , yes, Jeep is at dealer since 3/12/25. After daily calls to get updates, including voicemails and emails to service rep and Manager several times, Finally was advised on 3/25/26 (13 days) that it needs the part and will be at least 4-6 weeks more, no loaner, no info, nothing else was provided other then to call Jeep cares to file a complaint--you can imagine how that went-
... --they referred me back to the dealer but did open a complaint/ 2. was advised car could go on fire at any time, thank God I was not driving it at the time. 3. seems its a known common problem and current recall. 4. Inspected by Rockland jeep dealer and still sitting there. 5. no warning signs prior to car not starting. car is a lease and the lease expires prior to getting the car back, I called chrysler leasing and they directed me to call the dealer, called Jeep cares and they advised still waiting on rental authorization so I can get a rental car (which I would have to pay for and trust they will reimburse me- after all this, I do not trust them) , also they said to call the dealer after opening up a case. Bottom line, I am 16 days in , with 4-6 weeks to go with no car, no options as of this claim. I pay 700 a month for this lease and I will be out 2 months---I just asked them to extend it for the 2 months on them or keep the Jeep, Chrysler advised again to call dealer as they cannot do any of that. The dealer not advising me for 2 weeks what ( per Jeep cares) takes 10 minutes to diagnose, not providing a loaner after a week calling for one. I do not know what to do other then start to call lemon law attys?Read more
