I purchased this 2020 Jeep Wrangler from SunToyota car dealership in Holiday, FL on [XXX]. There have been several ongoing concerning safety issues with this vehicle and the car dealership over the past year since I purchased it. My vehicle has had immediate malfunctions and service visits upon purchase. On 12/31/24, the car went to the shop for broken visor (as is) as listed on service invoice-
... during this same visit I explained that turn signals lights were not functioning properly- was told that it was too much labor and they are aftermarket lights that the dealership cannot fix- dealership did not attempt to rectify the issue at this time. Broken visor/turn signal lights did not function properly upon purchase of the vehicle. In February, the car had what is known as the “death wobble” on major highways [XXX] and [XXX] in Florida, which was an extremely dangerous experience for all passengers in the vehicle. Invoice from 2/27/25 reflects suspension concern in regards to “death wobble” that was rectified, but again highly unsafe, and vehicle is beginning to shake again at high speeds as of December 2025. Invoice from 10/19/25 highlights the turn signal malfunction once again (it was never fixed from previous visit after purchase of vehicle and continued over several months). Car was taken back to dealer. Received call on 11/11 stating it was ready, to receive another call on my way there stating another issue with lights arisen. Received call on 11/12 stating it’s ready again, service advisor not present, and ALL lights flickering severely worse. Spoke to executive director, Dylan, who stated “[XXX] things happen” and walked away. Vehicle stayed at dealership. (Invoice from 11/12 highlights the turn signal issue again.). Vehicle was returned to me on 11/28/25, where lighting and turn signals appeared to work properly. As of December 2025, the turn signals have malfunctions again. When I tried to get in contact with the dealership they didn't call back. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMRead more

68C recall did not fix recurring issue with this vehicle: 12/2/25 – The vehicle was towed to the dealer under Safety Recall 68C (battery fire risk) in an undrivable state “service charging system” message, vehicle would not disengage from Park, no power, battery, charging, service engine lights on. 12/18/25 – The dealer informed me that Recall 68C had been completed, stated that the vehic
... le was repaired and safe to drive, and told me to “rest assured.” I was instructed to pick up the vehicle on that basis, and I did so. 12/20/25 – Just two days later, while driving approximately 60 mph on the highway in electric mode with more than 90% charge, the vehicle suddenly lost electric propulsion for over 30 seconds, rapidly losing speed and nearly requiring an emergency stop in active traffic. A dash notification appeared stating “electric mode unavailable,” and the vehicle reverted to hybrid mode. I immediately left a message for the dealership that same day requesting a call back to determine next steps; no call was returned. 12/20–12/26 – Because of this serious failure and ongoing safety concerns, the vehicle was driven only minimally. 12/27 – When I attempted to start the vehicle, it again failed. The dash displayed “service charging system” along with battery, service engine, and service electrical warning lights. The vehicle would not disengage from park, would not start, and had no usable power. 1/1/26- the vehicle remains at the Newport Jeep Dealership & Service Center, technicians continue to try to diagnose the problem and are unable to do so. The 68C recall was an ineffective attempt at resolving this significant recurring safety issue.Read more

While stopped in traffic with the brake pedal depressed and Auto Hold enabled, my 2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L has repeatedly jerked and shifted itself into Park without driver input. When the failure occurs, the vehicle disables driver-assist systems, the turn signal

The vehicle will not move until the brake pedal is applied and the transmission is manually shifted back into Drive. The issue has occurred multiple times at different locations and dates. A recent repair replaced the vehicle’s primary electronics control module(s), but the same behavior occurred again afterward. Due to the unintended shift into Park and unpredictable system behavior, the vehicle is now parked and not being driven because I do not trust it to operate safely in traffic.Read more

SVC 4WD warning indicator light appeared in dash cluster. Vehicle has been taken to two certified Jeep service dealerships. Both have confirmed the issue is with the Power Transfer Unit and that it will need to be replaced. Jeep does not have a replacement PTU for this widely known issue. A recall has been issued for this very problem, but our vehicle and many others from 2019 are not include
... d in the recall. Same issue, same model, same year, but no recall and no part available for repair. Both dealerships have stated that the vehicle should not be driven due to safety concerns for loss of power if the PTU should completely fail. 6 months have passed with no indication of any effort from Stellantis to even repair the recalled vehicles, let alone the same vehicles with the same problem that are not included in the recall. A report was filed with Stellantis.Read more

The vehicle has experienced recurring safety-related issues associated with the hybrid electrical and propulsion systems. During normal operation, warning messages related to the hybrid system appeared, and the vehicle entered reduced functionality or became unreliable to operate. These conditions created concern about potential loss of propulsion while driving. In addition to propulsion concerns,
... the vehicle was subject to manufacturer recalls related to the high-voltage battery system, including warnings regarding battery overheating and potential fire risk. Recall-related service was performed by an authorized dealer; however, safety concerns persisted after service was completed, and confidence in the safe operation of the vehicle was not restored. The ongoing nature of the electrical and hybrid system issues, combined with recall notices involving battery fire risk, created a safety concern for continued use of the vehicle, particularly due to the possibility of vehicle malfunction or battery-related hazards during normal operation or while parked. No crash or injury occurred, but the condition raised ongoing safety concerns. The issue has occurred more than once and was not permanently resolved despite dealer inspection and recall-related service.Read more

Main instrument cluster failed. There was no warning. Occasionally, the main screen would boot up slow. Currently at dealership where they diagnosed the screen to not be communicating. With the screen not working, it disabled the turn signals and the blind spot monitoring, would turn the "1 pedal drive" on and off randomly, no speedometer.

I purchased my 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee, new, approximately one month ago on [XXX] at Victory CDJR in Merrillville, IN 46410. This fourth repair appointment was scheduled on the same day of the 3rd attempt hours after I picked it up because the proble
... m wasn't resolved. The problem is that both key fobs randomly stop working, preventing reliable access to and operation of the vehicle. The failure is intermittent and unpredictable, which makes it especially concerning. Despite multiple service visits on November 26th, 2025, December 3rd, 2025, and December 31st, 2025, the issue has not been resolved and I now have to return the fourth time on January, 2nd, 2026. The dealership is never able to recreate the issue when they have the vehicle in their possession, but I have taken video of both key fobs not working and have tried to show them when I take the car in and they don't seem very interested in seeing the videos. There are no warnings to signal me of when the fobs will stop working because it is random. The first time this issue occurred was 2 days after I purchased the car on [XXX]. In Jan and Feb of 2025 we started to have loss of power while driving in traffic, so it has been sitting idle since. I had a DMV non op on it for time, but reactivated. I was told by Jeep there would be a solution in the fourth quarter of 2025, but that has come and gone. I had to buy a new vehicule for my wife. The Jeep just sits. I tried different lawyers for possible legal action, but they wont take the case, unless the vehicule has been at the dealership waiting to be repair or has been attempted to be repair three times. Subject: Safety Complaint – 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (VIN: [XXX] ) – Recall 68C High Voltage Battery Fire Risk Dear NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation, I am filing this safety complaint for my leased 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Plug-in Hybrid (VIN: [XXX] ) regarding Safety Recall 68C (NHTSA Campaign Number 25V-741) – High Voltage Battery Defect. The recall notice states that the HV battery may b
... ecome damaged during normal vehicle operation, leading to internal short circuit, overheating, and potential vehicle fire – even when parked or not charging. This poses a serious life-threatening risk to occupants, family members, and bystanders. Current interim remedy is insufficient: Owners advised to refrain from recharging and park away from structures/other vehicles. Permanent remedy (battery replacement) is still under development as of December 2025. Vehicle is effectively unusable for normal family use (cannot park in garage, constant fire fear). I operate in E-Save mode only (no charging), but risk remains per manufacturer notice. Family details: Wife and two children – safety severely impacted. I request NHTSA to: Escalate investigation into this defect. Pressure Stellantis/FCA US LLC for immediate permanent remedy by way of lease termination. Consider expanding recall scope if needed. Attached letter addressed to co-signee. Thank you for your urgent attention to this life-threatening safety issue. Sincerely, [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] Lease through Chrysler Capital INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more
