The driver side passenger door will open by itself when the key fob is near. Today it injured me while pumping gas and almost knocked the gas tank door off and gas pump out. This recall is over a year old, based on science there is likely no software fix supported by the age of the recall. Since there clearly is no software fix, battery replacement should be mandated. This car is not able to be used as advertised, since it supported fast charging. I would need to rent another car for any trips over about 90 miles in one direction.

Since the problem, solution, and general vehicle type are entirely as described in the TSB, it appears possible that the TSB was too narrowly scoped and omitted impacted vehicles, to the detriment of owners. This would also cause potential safety concerns, since an unrepaired torque converter could produce unexpected shifting problems. Therefore I suggest that NHTSA investigate to determine if additional vehicles are impacted by Mazda's faulty torque converters. I check back lighting and they are on and working but errors say they aren't. Front collison day is it not on but it works and alarms a sound. This is dangerous and if it will have dangerous outcome given it would not correct. Also was receiving notification.to pay into a program for future problem the moment it started again (i paid for extra coverage at signing) I don't know if it's electrical, auto start stop, the lights or something else. The Issue with the Remedy: Federal law (49 U.S.C. § 30120) requires manufacturers to remedy safety defects "without charge". As a permanent safety remedy for this defect, GM has mandated a switch from 0W-20 to 0W-40 (dexosR) oil for the life of the engine to prevent bearing failure. However, the dealership and manufacturer are refusing to provide this mandated safety spec change without an ongoing $85 surcharge per oil change. While they performed the initial "inspection" oil change for free, they are now using the recall-mandated spec change to create a financial burden on the consumer. Because 0W-40 is now the mandatory factory requirement to prevent the safety defect, charging a premium for it constitutes a failure to provide the recall remedy "without charge." General Motors refuses to offset this cost, effectively penalizing the owner for a manufacturer safety defect. The dealership is also failing to honor my Platinum Wrap warranty and GM Prepaid service contract to perform the continued oil changes without additional charges.Read more

Inferior brake system on 2015 Prius master brake cylinder and vacuum booster. Extended warranty issues identified by Toyota for 10 years or 150, 000 miles. I bought my Prius used in 2021 with 92,000 miles at age [XXX] old intending it to last as long as I did. I am now [XXX] old and essentially totally independent. On 2/6/26, I took it to Goettle Toyota, Ocala FL (mileage. 139,160) knowing there was an extended warranty program available that was admitting the parts were defective but not worthy of recall. I was advised the warranty for my vehicle expired 10/26/2025 (3 months and 8 days prior) and was now invalid. Brake replacement cost is $3675.00 + tax🥴. I was provided warranty information and instructed to call Toyota. I called, spoke with Brook and was advised the warranty was invalid due to date even though the car has less than the 150, 000 mile covered and nothing could be done. I was never notified of this issue so I could monitor for problems before the expiration. Average life for these items on a Prius is 250,000 miles, not 139, 000. I am on limited, fixed income and cannot afford this unnecessary repair. I am already gladly driving a 10 year old car to be independent. Loss of transportation changes my entire lifestyle. I cannot afford another car (if I could, I would be fixing this one). I would be reliant FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE, on others for all needs outside of my home. I live in a very rural area. I feel since I was NEVER notified of any issues and the car is LOW mileage and there should be another 100,000 miles on this car (I have driven it less than 50,000 miles in 5 years) that Toyota should honor the extended warranty based on the proximity of the malfunction to the ending of the warranty period and the LOW MILEAGE of the vehicle. The brakes went almost completely out- having to push the pedal all the way to the floor. All ABS and braking lights illuminated in the dash. There is limited stopping power. Travelling with my young daughter on the Freeway at Freeway speeds at 9pm (nighttime). The entire vehicle just shut down. EVERYTHING - completely dark. Steering went out. Brakes went out. I had to get the car to basically drift to a shoulder and slow down gradually in a spot where we would be safely out of the way of traffic. Again no brakes or steering and completely dead. Hazzard lights

It's an expensive car and 2022 is the first model year of the Grand Wagoneer. I suspect based on my experience with this car that this model year will have these types of problems going forward.
