I am submitting this complaint regarding Recall 78C (NHTSA Recall 25V-766) affecting my 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe. The recall states that engine block casting contamination may result in catastrophic engine failure, loss of propulsion, and possible engine fire. This recall has now been open for approximately 120 days without a remedy available. Stellantis has confirmed that engineers are still
... working to develop a repair and that customers will be notified when a remedy becomes available. Since purchasing this vehicle in May 2024, it has been subject to five recalls within approximately 18 months of ownership: Recall 78C – NHTSA Recall 25V-766 Recall 68C – NHTSA Recall 25V-741 Recall 73C – NHTSA Recall 25V-576 Recall 28C – NHTSA Recall 25V-472 Recall D5B – NHTSA Recall 24V-944 Due to the severity of the defect described in Recall 78C and the number of recalls affecting this vehicle, my family has lost confidence in the safety and reliability of the vehicle. My wife is currently unwilling to ride in the vehicle because of the risk described in the recall. With a newborn child arriving next week, this situation has placed significant strain on our household because we are effectively operating with only one vehicle. I am submitting this complaint to document the ongoing safety concern and the extended delay in providing a remedy for this recall.Read more

There is already a recall on the Ford Fusion for this very same issue, they have identical engines, fuel systems etc, but code is P1450 and at times, randomly the sound of a struggling fuel pump happens, and the solution is to have the Fuel Canister Purge valve replaced, this is a known and recalled issue on the Ford Fusion but apparently not on the 2016 Ford Escape SE that the majority of those v
... ehicles do have both issues and failures with. Ford knows about this since they already have recalled the Ford Fusion for the very same thing happening. I have a "Forever Warranty" through Ford, which they explained 100% of all moving parts having to do with the Drive Train was covered, however they know about this issue, and yet no recall is happening I told them what the code is they still insist on charging $189 to tell me what my OBDII computer already has a few times at this point. Prestige Ford in Mt Dora, FL is the dealership that I will never deal with again for anything other than to maintain the warranty I was railroaded into that they don't seem to even want to honor making me pay out $189 for a known issue with the engines that are the same engines as in the Ford Fusion. The largest issue is the car can stall at any point in time causing a severely dangerous situation for anyone inside the vehicle when it stalls in middle of a intersection or turn. And of course I have learned it can cause the fuel tank to crack as well, and become deformed also causing a dangerous situation for whoever is operating the vehicle and other people on the road driving. My son is [XXX] and just learning to drive, it's the only car we have and we really have no other choice but to try to drive as safely as we can until a recall is also put out on the 2016 Ford Escape SE. In October 2025, Toyota issued a recall for MY2025 Sienna Hybrid vehicles due to second-row seat rails that were improperly welded by supplier Toyota Boshoku Kentucky due to a miscalibrated welding machine. My frustration grew as the problem started occurring more frequently, especially when I was in the car with my wife and kids. This is a serious safety concern. I recently took the vehicle to the dealer again (March 2, 2026), where I was charged almost $500 for them to "reboot" the vehicle and assure me it was fixed. However, the issue reoccurred the very next day. For the first time, I am formally reporting this problem in hopes that something can be done. I am taking it back again this Monday. On 3/3/2026, I brought me JEEP 4XE to the Jeep dealership in Paris, Kentucky to have the 68C recall performed. The Jeep dealership used version #7 of the 68C recall instructions to updated all software modules and then to perform a 7 mile test run to engage the electric engine and to stress the vehicle per the instructions documented in the recall instructions. Document is identified as: * High V
... oltage Battery * Reference: 68C/NHTSA 25V-741 * Revision: 7 * Edition: February 2026 * Details: Additional DTC added to the end of Section B. BPCM software update After picking vehicle up from dealership, I proceeded home via a state highway Route 68 (Paris Pike). The roadway is a 4 lane divided highway and has a speed limit of 55mph. I set my vehicle to HYBRID mode and then placed it on cruise control as I had done numerous times over its 25,000 miles. During the drive there were occasional rolling hills and inclines. I gauged the hills to be about a 1% grade on average but never exceeding 2% grade. During these inclines, the gasoline engine engaged and the RPM gauge on the instrument cluster registered 3000RPM. This excessive engine RPM had NEVER occurred before the 68C factory recall procedure. In all other instances of the engine engaging, the RPM would engage at 2000RPM. I contend that the the engagement of the gasoline engine on these small inclines was NOT warranted and that the excessive RPM's of 3000 is not normal and was never experienced prior to the 68C recall fix. I am submitting this information for review and documentation. Video of the instrument cluster gauge showing the RMP gauage and the display panel showing the engine and battery kW used were taken to document the process. I believe that the engagement of the gasoline engine at 3000RPM will cause excessive wear of the engine and is a direct result of one of the software updates that was used to complete the 68C recall.Read more

Service Power Steering • ABS warning • Red steering wheel with exclamation mark • Check Engine Light • Collision / Auto Emergency Braking warning • Traction Control / Electronic Stability Control Warning • Forward Collision Warning / Automatic Emergency Braking Disabled During this event, the vehicle behavior became unpredictable and unsafe. I am extremely shaken by the experience and thankful that my four children were not in the vehicle with me at the time. Unfortunately, this incident is part of a long list of issues I have experienced with this vehicle since purchasing it. These include: Persistent check engine light issues • Replacement of all third-row seatbelts due to defects • Oil valve replacement (Code P06D – Oil Pump Control Stuck High) • Multiple software updates • The vehicle shifting itself into park when coming to a stop, with the gear dial locking and requiring the vehicle to be fully shut off and restarted before it can be driven again • Driver window intermittently sticking • Replacement of the passenger seat massage system due to an air bladder malfunction • Vehicle jolting/jumping when coming to a stop Given the number of ongoing mechanical and electronic problems, I no longer feel confident that this vehicle is safe to drive. The 3.5" screen on my jeep went out. Which prevented me from seeing speed, mileage and gas. They have recalled other jeeps from 2018-2024 but mine is not included because it has been in service for more then 24 months. We bought the jeep in 2023 with 20 some thousand miles on it. Why is there a time limit on a faulty part? Not everyone drives their cars 30,000+ a year, so problems with parts won't
... be known as early as 2 years. We replaced it and it cost $1600 plus a week of not having my car.Read more

My 2026 Honda Prologue makes clicking sounds when executing turns. The problem was confirmed in a diagnostic assessment at the Honda dealer at about 7,500 miles (2/4/26). The service rep. said Honda was looking into the problem (CV joints/bearings), but there was no current solution, and they would contact me when a solution became available. The rep. said Honda did not consider this a safety issu
... e. I also own a Honda Civic that has made almost identical clicking noises when its CV joints were failing. In those cases, the Honda dealers always stressed the problem needed addressing in a timely manner as failing CV joints could pose a significant safety hazard. Why has Honda adopted a contradictory stance regarding this CV joint issue with the Prologue? I would urge the NHTSA to investigate the problem (widely reported on Prologue user forums) to determine if it constitutes a safety issue. If confirmed, I would encourage a formal safety recall be implemented to protect the public. This would also help ensure Honda rolls out a solution while the vehicles are still under warranty. (Vehicle is available for inspection by NHTSA and/or manufacturer.)Read more
