The check engine light keeps coming on. The Jeep repair shop says that it has to do with the flap on the gas tank where you put the gas in. Hence, the repair light keeps coming on so you never know if its real and needs to be addressed or if its the gas tank issue again

Recall 78c issued with no remedy in a timely manner. Had to move from HI to CA on military orders and vehicle is stuck in Hawaii until there’s a remedy because it cannot ship with this recall. Manufactures only advice was to leave at dealership until remedy is out. Dealership would not hold our vehicle until remedy is ready.

Vehicle shut-off while driving. Electrical failure due to voltage issue with hybrid (eTorque) system. Los off power while driving vehicle on roadway with potential loss of control. Vehicle taken to dealership and diagnosed with failure of hybrid battery. During my ownership of the vehicle I've had to replace the primary battery 3 times due to ongoing electrical problems with this engine.

The Power Transfer (PTU) unit exploded while driving on the highway, upon inspection from the Jeep dealership it was found with multiple cracks on the PTU housing and even described in the service report from the tech that the PTU exploded. It was cold out and my sister was driving my car with the heated seats on when she started to smell fire as well as her back got really hot. She pulled over and leaned forward and discovered a flame/fire coming through the seat back. She burned my hand and had visible ash on it trying to put the fire out. There is now a hole in the seat back from where the fire burned through.
