I am writing to formally report a failure by Classic Kia of Streetsboro to provide the federally mandated safety remedy under Recall SC336 for my 2021 Kia Soul (VIN: [XXX] ). I have reason to believe the dealership has bypassed the mandatory safety protocols by intentionally omitting my documented diagnostic data—specifically Codes P0014/P0017, engine stalling, and excessive oil consumption—fr
... om the Techline Case Narrative. Evidence of Non-Compliance: 1. Improper Component Installation: Despite the documented timing failures, the dealership appears to have installed a Short Block (Part # 21102) instead of the required Long Block Assembly (Part # 21101-QQK). This leaves my oil-contaminated camshafts, valves, and VVT solenoids in the vehicle, posing a continued stalling risk. 2. Failure to Address Consequential Damage: The dealership is attempting to charge me a $99 "Customer Pay" fee for a catalytic converter back-pressure test. Under SC336, testing for consequential damage caused by a defective engine is the manufacturer's responsibility. 3. Withholding Documentation: The dealership has refused to provide the Techline Case Number or the Engine Part Number upon request, preventing me from verifying that the safety remedy was performed correctly. I will not be taking possession of the vehicle until Kia Corporate verifies that a Long Block Assembly was installed and that all diagnostic fees related to the recall symptoms are waived. This matter is currently being escalated but could definitely use your assistance. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

The contact owns a 2023 Ford Bronco. The contact stated that upon inspection the hard top roof, there were several cracks formed on the roof. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure was acknowledged, and it was agreed that the hard top would be replaced under warranty. After the hard top was replaced, the contact inspected the new hard top and discovered several dents and uneven surf

The contact was informed that he could inspect the hardtops of the newer vehicles at the dealer lot and if he found a top that he liked, the dealer would swap the hardtop and replace the hardtop. After inspecting approximately 5 vehicles, each vehicle had issues with their hardtops. Upon investigation, the contact discovered General Service Bulletin: 23-7174, which was associated with the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. Component: Air Conditioning / Heater Subject: Recurrent HVAC System Failure - Passenger-Side Temperature Control Malfunction I am reporting a recurring failutre of the vehicle's HVAC system affecting the passenger-side temperature control. Specifically the passenger-side air vents intermittently and repeatedly blowing hot air while the driver-side continue to operate normally with cooled air.
... This condition results in inconsistent cabin temperature control andrenders the air conditioning system ineffective for occupants on the passenger side. Timeline of Failures and Repairs: July 2023: Initial occurrence of passenger side hot air condition. Vehicle was taken to authorized Ford dealership (McRee Ford). Repairs were performed; however the specific root cause either identified or not permanently corrected as another recurrence happened August 2025: Took it back to McRee Ford due to an identical issue reoccurred where the passenger side was blowing hot air. They attempted to repair with the same technician and was again only a temporary resolution as the issue again occurred March 2026: Passenger side blowing hot air for the third time. Took it to a different authorized Ford dealership (Cook Ford) where again, it was identified as a blend door actuator issue. Safety Concern: While the issue may appear to be a comfort concern, it presents a potential safety risk in high temperature environments such as Texas. (Heat related stress or illness for passengers) Multiple authorized dealership seem to be unable to resolve the issue. Currently vehicle is with Cook Ford and was advised that additional funding would be needed for a permanent fix. I've already been financially burdened with taking the vehicle twice to McRee Ford and now a third time to Cook Ford for the same issue, and being told upfront that the failure may again happen. Subject: Formal Demand for Remedy – Safety Recall / 2019 Alfa Romeo Stelvio (VIN: [XXX] ) To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally demand immediate resolution regarding a serious safety recall affecting my 2019 Alfa Romeo Stelvio (VIN: [XXX] ). The recall, issued in September 2025, involves a defect in the fuel delivery module that may result in a loss of motive power. This defect pre

Despite the severity of this issue, I have not been provided with a remedy, repair timeline, or adequate alternative solution. It is unacceptable that I am expected to continue operating—or assume the risk of operating—a vehicle with a known safety defect and no available fix. This situation has caused ongoing concern, inconvenience, and diminished confidence in the safety and reliability of the vehicle. Given the lack of a timely and effective remedy, I am formally requesting that Alfa Romeo take one of the following actions immediately: Provide a permanent repair within a reasonable and clearly defined timeframe; OR Repurchase (buy back) the vehicle at fair market value; OR Provide a comparable replacement vehicle at no cost to me If this matter is not resolved promptly, I am prepared to pursue further action, including but not limited to filing additional complaints with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), seeking relief under applicable state lemon laws, and exploring other legal remedies available to me. There are two issues with the headlights as it relates to the instrument panel and controls. First, the symbol on the instrument panel is the same for both headlights and running lights. This means at dusk, I cannot know whether my auto-headlights have turned or if I need to override the auto-feature to turn them on manually. Second, the headlight controls are buried in a menu, hidden behind the
... steering wheel. The "quick menu" is inconvenient, but the fact that it is hidden bedding the steering wheel means that I have to lean forward and around to fiddle with it, which has led to me drifting into another lane as I am distracted. From the driver's perspective, the "quick menus" are all hidden behind the wheel, and the control panel is just far enough out of reach that the driver must adjust and lean forward to reach for any controls not on the steering column.Read more

Summary of Incident: On March 28, 2026, while traveling at 70 MPH on the Florida Turnpike, the vehicle suffered an instantaneous loss of motive power. The engine died abruptly with no warning. Upon reaching the shoulder, the electronic transmission locked, refusing to shift into Neutral or Park. The engine cranks but will not start. 1. Component Failure & Availability: The exact component is curr
... ently unknown, but the failure involves the Powertrain, Fuel System, and Electronic Transmission Control. The vehicle is currently at an authorized dealership and is available for inspection by the manufacturer or NHTSA upon request. 2. Safety Risk: The sudden loss of power at highway speeds created an immediate risk of a rear-end collision. Because the electronic transmission locked and would not allow the vehicle to be shifted into Neutral, it became a fixed object on a high-speed shoulder. It could not be pushed to a safer location, increasing the risk of a secondary accident. 3. Problem Reproduction: The vehicle was towed directly to an authorized Chevrolet dealership. As of this filing, the dealership is in possession of the vehicle, but the failure has not yet been reproduced or confirmed by a technician as they are awaiting formal diagnostic commencement. 4. Inspections: The vehicle was inspected by a roadside towing professional for transport. It is currently at the manufacturer’s authorized service center awaiting a formal diagnostic inspection. No police or insurance inspections have occurred. 5. Warning Symptoms: There were no warning lamps, "Check Engine" lights, or messages prior to the failure. No symptoms like rough idling or unusual noises occurred. The vehicle performed normally until the moment of total power loss.Read more

Tesla Full Self-Driving (Supervised) was engaged at the time of the incident. The vehicle was traveling at low speed on a straight roadway when it unexpectedly initiated a sudden steering maneuver out of its lane toward a roadside structure (outdoor restaurant seating area), resulting in a collision. The driver did not provide steering input prior to or during the maneuver. There were no warning
... messages or alerts indicating a hazard or need for evasive action before the event. Vehicle telemetry data reviewed after the incident indicates that the steering system executed a rapid, large-angle deflection without corresponding driver input, consistent with a system-initiated maneuver. The system continued to apply throttle during the event. The incident created a direct safety risk to the vehicle occupants and nearby pedestrians due to unintended vehicle path deviation toward a fixed structure. Additional Context: When this car was in the repair shop for repairs, we were told that during the replacement of the dashboard/computer system, the technicians observed a persistent system code that would not clear. Tesla technical support was contacted, and the system was ultimately reinstalled to resolve the issue. While the direct connection between this code and the FSD malfunction is unknown, the persistent code may indicate preexisting software system instability. The vehicle has been inspected by repair professionals, and supporting data (telemetry and video) is preserved and available for review upon request. Cause of the malfunction is currently UNKNOWN, but evidence indicates a failure in the driver assistance system’s steering control.Read more

I purchased a used 2015 Jeep Wrangler from a dealership in New York. At the time of sale, the vehicle had an open urgent safety recall (19V-018) for a defective Takata passenger airbag inflator. This recall was never disclosed to me by the dealership prior to or at the time of purchase. The recall advisory was noted on the NYS inspection report conducted the same morning the vehicle was sold to me
... , but was not communicated to me in any way. I discovered the open recall after experiencing repeated mechanical failures following purchase. Four days after purchase the vehicle overheated and had to be towed — the coolant system was found to be completely empty. An independent licensed mechanic subsequently inspected the vehicle and stated on record that the mechanical defects appeared to be pre-existing conditions that existed prior to the sale. The vehicle currently has an unrepaired Takata airbag inflator which the manufacturer has identified as capable of exploding and sending metal fragments into the vehicle interior at high speed, risking serious injury or death to occupants. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The recall remains unrepaired. The dealership was contacted and a manager verbally acknowledged they did not disclose the known defect prior to sale.Read more

Incident date: Nov 8, 2025
I am filing this complaint regarding serious safety and consumer protection concerns involving my 2022 Jeep Wrangler (VIN: [XXX] ), manufactured by Stellantis, as well as issues involving the towing company E&R Towing following my accident. Prior to my accident on November 8, 2025, my vehicle experienced multiple ongoing mechanical issues, including overheating, shaking while driving, and abnormal
... loud noises. These issues raised serious safety concerns and were not properly resolved. On November 8, 2025, I was involved in a rollover accident. Following the accident, Stellantis initiated an investigation and retained Bosch/Engineering Analysis Associates to extract Event Data Recorder (EDR) data from my vehicle. While presented as an independent inspection, this analysis was conducted by a vendor hired by Stellantis, raising concerns about the objectivity and scope of the findings. Stellantis ultimately denied responsibility, stating that the conditions of the crash did not meet the threshold for airbag deployment. However, this conclusion fails to address the ongoing mechanical and safety issues I experienced prior to the accident, including the possibility of system or sensor malfunction. Additionally, my claim for relief under Illinois Lemon Law was denied without fully considering the pattern of defects and safety concerns. I have also filed a complaint with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Complaint #XXX, regarding safety concerns with this vehicle. Following the accident, my vehicle was handled by E&R Towing. I have concerns regarding how my vehicle was managed after the crash, including the handling process and lack of transparency regarding procedures and fees. I am requesting that this matter be reviewed for potential violations of Illinois consumer protection laws, including unfair or deceptive practices, failure to properly address known vehicle safety issues, and improper handling of my vehicle following acciden INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACTRead more

I am reporting a critical safety failure involving an improperly installed (wrong year) passenger-side airbag in my 2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness, which was negligently missed for nearly two years by multiple Subaru service departments. This is a pervasive life-safety defect and an extensive failure in manufacturer inspection protocols. Chain of Negligence: 1. Initial Misleading Certification:
... Shortly after my purchase, the vehicle underwent a "certified" multi-point safety inspection at a Subaru retailer in Ohio, which negligently certified the vehicle as safe with a critical safety defect present. 2. Systemic Dealer Misdiagnosis: Over the subsequent nearly two years, I took my vehicle to multiple other Subaru dealership service departments, actively showing them a persistent visual misalignment of the passenger-side trim. Despite active complaints, no dealership took the proper time to diagnose the underlying cause, and they missed the critical safety defect. 3. Discovery by Chance: Critically, there were no warning lights, messages, or other electronic indicators. The only symptom was the visual misalignment. The true cause was only traced back to the wrong part after I personally spoke with a Subaru parts department team member who was resourceful enough to figure it out. This finding was subsequently officially certified as correct by the service team at Mike Shaw Subaru, which finally provided documentation that the component was incorrect. Safety Risk: The incorrect airbag component poses an immediate and incalculable life-safety risk, as its deployment behavior is unknown and potentially compromised. This unaddressed safety risk was allowed to continue for nearly two years due to repeated inspection failures. Manufacturer Response Failure: Subaru of America has been formally notified of this systemic safety defect and the complete failure of their retailer network’s inspection protocols. After missing multiple self-imposed deadlines, they continue tRead more

In October, my son was driving our Jeep Wrangler 4xe when the vehicle suddenly lost power steering, acceleration, and braking while multiple warning lights were flashing on the dashboard. The vehicle became very difficult to control and created a serious safety concern. We have a video showing all of the warning lights flashing during this incident (it is not allowing me to upload a video below as
... the file is too large) The vehicle also currently has recalls and service campaigns, including Recall 78C related to a potential engine defect and HBMHCP related to the hybrid battery system. These issues make us feel the vehicle is unsafe and not reliable to drive. The recalls and issues have also affected our ability to use the vehicle as intended and have reduced the value of the vehicle. We are concerned that this vehicle may have a safety defect related to the engine or hybrid/electrical system that could cause loss of power, steering, braking, or vehicle control. We have been told there is currently no fix for these issues and that we should continue driving the vehicle, to park outside and not charge it. This makes us feel the vehicle may be unsafe and unreliable to drive. We are making monthly payments for a vehicle that does not behave as intended.Read more

On 3/26/2026 a symbol of an engine appeared on my dash. Then several minutes later the car began running very rough and numerous warnings signs came on including Check Engine, Check AWD System, Check Power Steering System, Check Uphill Assist system and others. I took the car to my mechanic this morning and after checking various systems he determined the Cylinder Deactivation system was not perfo
... rming properly. He replaced the spark plug for cylinder 3 and confirmed the ignition coil is functioning properly. He was not able to correct the problem and said I should contact the dealer as he thought Honda had issued an extended recall on the Acura 2013 RDXs because of this problem. He said this malfunction has caused my AWD system to be disabled. I called the dealer and they said there was no recall for this issue. I have an appointment on 3/31 to have them check it out. My car only has 83,635 miles on it.Read more
