My radar and multipurpose camera need replacement
Incident date: Jul 20, 2025
I purchased a 2023 Audi Q3 and less than a year of owning the vehicle, I was driving when I lost power to the vehicle’s engine, with absolutely NO warning sign. Thankfully, I was able to pull over on the side of 95 and turn the car off, thinking maybe it was just overheating. I sat in the car for about 10-20 seconds before I saw a huge cloud of black smoke coming from the engine, that is when I
... got out of the car and called 911 immediately. As I was standing on the side of 95, with semi-trucks flying past me, I saw under the hood was pure flames. The 911 operator stressed I needed to walk away from the vehicle ASAP, and to not return for any of my belongings. About 2 minutes later, the entire car was engulfed in flames. Luckily, I was able to get my cell phone, to make the 911 call, but was not able to get any of my other belongings, purse, cards, laptop, ipad, etc. It took about 15-20 minutes for the police and fire department to come. They had to shut down 95 to control the fire, which took over an hour in total. The fire department came up to me 2 separate times asking if this was an electric vehicle because they were unable to contain the fire. I asked the sheriff what could have possibly caused this to happen, and that is when he stated it was most likely a manufacture defect since I had the car for less than a year and it had less than 50,000 miles on it. The police officer also stated that if I didn’t get out when I did, it was only a matter of seconds until I would have lost control of the vehicle entirely and burnt with it. I know this is a freak occurrence but to say I am traumatized and afraid to get behind the wheel, is an understatement. Especially knowing my guardian angels are the only reason why I am here and able to send this message.Read more

Mopar has discontinued parts for many Ram vehicles with a 6.4L Hemi motor including the exhaust manifolds. My exhaust manifold is currently cracked and has an audible leak. Exhaust enters the cab of the vehicle when starting, idling, or reversing. They have no indication of providing a fix for this and the parts are not available aftermarket either. This broken piece not only affects the perform

I have tried to reach out to the manufacturer with no response and all the dealers I have tried to reach do not have a solution. The Adaptive Cruise Control indicated speed lags when user changes speed. The lag will fluctuate from non-existent to 4-5sec at times. It occurs at different speeds and for different changes (e.g., speeding up to 45mph or speeding down to 25mph.) It also occurs when changing speeds in different increments (e.g., one click up for 1mph increase or hold down for 5mph decrease.) The lag is only in the
... display and not the actual drivetrain, meaning that the selected speed in the Adaptive Control indicator is not relaying the selected speed even though the car itself is changing speed. This is a safety issue as you don't know whether the car has registered a speed increase or decrease for several seconds (which at higher speeds is certainly not safe.) There was an OTA related to the Instrument Control Panel sent earlier this summer that was successfully installed, IPC-25.7.46, however this may be a coincidence. After calling multiple times to Ford, including their OTA update team, their EV Technology Team, and a generic Customer Experience team, I was told to bring it into a dealership AND submit a complaint to NHTSA. The dealership identified modules that required updating but that did not fix the issue. Ford has NOT been helpful and their Customer Experience reps have been dismissive of the seriousness of this issue.Read more

The component is the fuel injector, which is a part of the engine's fuel delivery system. According to the recall notice from Ford, this component has the potential to crack. The component is known to be defective and has been inspected by a Ford dealership service department upon my request and was told there's no solution as of yet by Ford. My family's safety, including that of my toddler w
... ho is a daily passenger, is at significant risk due to the potential for an underhood fire. The recall notice explicitly states that a crack in the fuel injector could lead to a fuel leak, and "liquid fuel and or fuel vapor that accumulates near a sufficiently hot surface may ignite resulting in an underhood fire, increasing the risk of injury." This places my family at risk every time we operate the vehicle, as the threat of a fire is present with no permanent solution available. Yes, the problem has been confirmed by a Ford dealer service center in Montebello, CA. On a specific date (August 16th, 2025), I took the vehicle in to inquire about the recall. The service department confirmed that my vehicle is included in the recall but also stated that Ford does not yet have an official solution to fix the issue. Yes, the vehicle and the recall issue have been inspected by the manufacturer's representative, a Ford dealer service center. The dealer verified the recall issue and confirmed that the permanent repair is not yet available, leaving the safety defect unaddressed. There have been no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem (such as a check engine light or smell of gas) at this time. The complaint is based on the official safety recall notice from Ford and the fact that a known and severe safety defect exists without a remedy. The risk is present despite the lack of a visible symptom or a complete failure at this time.Read more

Hyundai sells Nexo Hydrogen Fuel Cell vehicles with known Fuel Cell stack issues, leading to severe safety issues from sudden power loss when driving, especially when overtaking and driving on highways and/or uphill. The power loss issue was diagnosed to originate from a fuel-cell stack failure, one of the Nexo’s main power-train components. This is a known power-train issue to Hyundai, debated
... online since 2021 by consumers experiencing the same power loss, across various Hyundai web-logs. Other affected consumers filed a class action lawsuit this year against Hyundai Motor America Inc, for the same and other reasons. The lawsuit accuses Hyundai of selling Nexo vehicles equipped with defective systems that fail to perform as promised. Plaintiffs argue that these defects compromise the vehicle’s performance, including the core hydrogen fuel cell stack, leading to reduced reliability and substantial safety concerns. There is no warning light indicating this issue when driving the Nexo under power loss conditions. One only realizes it when pressing the accelerator pedal and the power suddenly cuts out. In May 2025 I dropped off our 2020 Nexo Limited (~37,000 miles) at the hydrogen-certified Hyundai Dealer for a different and unrelated recall and for service, and mentioned the power loss issue. After some weeks of diagnosis the dealership called me back and verbally stated that they would not fix the car, nor would they give it ever back to me due to safety issues. Our car is still at the dealership, unresolved. No other dealers can repair Hyundai Nexo’s, because it is new hydrogen technology, very high pressures and special procedures, which no other repair shop would touch, so one must stick with Hyundai to get the problem addressed. Hyundai’s Original Manufacturer Warranty for Nexo Power Trains lists on page 15: Original Owner 10 Years/100,000 Miles, Subsequent Owner(s) 5 Years/60,000 Miles. So far I'm not aware of an existing recall for Fuel-Cell Power Loss.Read more

While slowing to a stop at a traffic light, the engine stalled unexpectedly. The start/stop system did not restart the engine when I released the brake pedal. Message on dash indicated shifter module required service, and indicated that the vehicle was not in park when attempting to turn off vehicle. The vehicle was only turned off by disconnecting the 12-volt battery. The vehicle was towed to a Chrysler dealership and diagnostics completed, showing error codes with the shift module. They were unable to recreate the problem and advised replacing the shift module. When inquiring about recall V53, the dealership service department indicated that this recall had been repaired on the vehicle in 2020. These symptoms match those described in Chrysler Recall V53 (NHTSA Campaign 19V-348) for 2017–2019 Chrysler Pacifica vehicles equipped with start/stop systems, which involves a loose battery ground connection. My VIN is not currently listed in the recall as it was reportedly corrected in 2020, but the issue created a hazardous situation by stalling in traffic, disabling shifting, and preventing engine shutdown. This could have resulted in a crash if traffic conditions were different.
