In February I had the 95b recall completed and a short time afterwards started getting a service hybrid vehicle system light and even a check engine light at one point. One of those instances with the service hybrid vehicle system light my car just turned off while I was driving it with my children in the back seat and cars behind me. I lost all control of the steering and vehicles power except it
... switched to the accessory. I tried to restart but it would not. I had to come to a complete stop, place in park, turn off the accessory and then restart the vehicle. The vehicle was seen promptly following the incident where I was told to drive it on esave and they would try ordering a part that could possibly be a fix. While waiting for the part the vehicle was seen at another dealership that recommended not replacing that part that there was no issue with the vehicle and to drive it on e save or make sure the battery had a charge while driving in hybrid mode. Which is not a solution. Since then I have had several instances of the service hybrid vehicle system warning lights and that includes while driving it on e save which is gas only. Unfortunately the warning comes and goes quickly while driving so it’s not always easy to take a photo while driving although I do have a few to attach.Read more

After July, I even sent three separate videos clearly documenting the noise, yet the most recent service invoice still instructed me to “provide a video,” showing Tesla ignored or failed to record my evidence. This ongoing defect has been reproduced and confirmed at Tesla service but remains unresolved. Background: Vehicle purchased in Madison, WI at Schoepp Motors (July 2019). Has been continuously titled, registered, and insured in Wisconsin for over 6 years. Vehicle is fully legal in the U.S. and has a valid Wisconsin title. Issue: The fuel tank strap rusted and failed. This is a well-documented problem for Ram trucks, and Stellantis created an Extended Warranty (Code X75) to address the issu
... e. Stellantis’ database still lists this VIN as a “Canadian market” vehicle. Because of this coding error, U.S. dealerships cannot process coverage under the Fuel Tank Strap Extended Warranty (X75, 12 years / unlimited miles). The X75 program exists specifically due to a safety concern (fuel tank strap corrosion). Despite multiple attempts to resolve this with Stellantis, I have only been directed to “contact a broker,” which does not address the underlying database problem. Timeline: 2019: Vehicle purchased in Madison, WI. 2019–2025: Vehicle continuously titled, registered, and insured in Wisconsin. August 26, 2025: Dealer confirms VIN is coded as Canadian and cannot process warranty coverage. August 27, 2025: Case opened with Stellantis US Customer Care (#[XXX]). Multiple calls and emails → Stellantis repeatedly instructs me to contact a broker, without identifying required documentation. I offered to provide Wisconsin title, registration, and insurance history. Broker consulted → confirmed import documents are not retained after 5 years (per CBP retention rules). Stellantis refuses to escalate meaningfully; no path forward provided. Concern: The X75 program is a safety-related warranty that Stellantis is refusing to honor for a U.S. resident with long-term U.S. ownership. All reasonable avenues with Stellantis Customer Care have been exhausted. I am requesting regulatory review and intervention to compel Stellantis to correct the VIN market assignment and honor the X75 safety program. Subject: Vehicle Theft Due to Security Vulnerability – 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid Vehicle Information: • Make: Honda • Model: CR-V Hybrid AWD • Year: 2023 Description of the Problem: I am reporting a serious security vulnerability in my 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid, which was stolen [XXX] from a residential parking lot in Bayside Queens, NY. ... parked in my parking area. The theft method likely involved bypassing the CAN bus system, a known vulnerability in modern vehicles. Honda later issued a product improvement notice regarding enhanced anti-theft software, which I received(8/26/25) after the incident. This suggests that the manufacturer was aware of the security flaw but did not proactively notify owners or offer preventive upgrades before thefts occurred. Will Impact: • Financial loss due to theft and insurance deductibles • Emotional distress and ongoing safety concerns • Time-consuming police and insurance procedures • Lack of timely manufacturer support or warning • Police report (NYPD case number: [XXX]) I urge NHTSA to investigate the security vulnerabilities in Honda CR-V Hybrid models, particularly regarding CAN bus access and lack of proactive anti-theft measures. I would like to bring up a serious safety issue with this vehicle (2024 Chrysler Pacifica Select PHEV) WITH 6997 miles on the odometer. As I was driving, at approximately 11:15AM, I received a message on the dashboard that read, “Stop Safely!! Vehicle will shut off in < 2 minutes”. For my own safety as well as other drivers on the road, I tried maneuvering the vehicle to the side of the road,
... however the vehicle shut off within 15-30 seconds. The vehicle did not move at all. The serious safety concern I have is “What if the vehicle had stopped running on the major highways full of traffic”? Please note, this is also a well-known issue starting from the 2021 Chrysler Pacifica models. Additionally, a similar incident occurred to another similar make model in Sept. 2024 with VIN # [XXX] . It seemed like, when I received the message, the vehicle's computer system interlocks fuel supply and chokes up the brakes to the wheels so the vehicle is completed locked up in one position and it does not do rolling stop to safely pull over to the side of the road. This is very dangerous because if a semi-truck with 80,000 lbs. load is coming behind you, you will NOT be able to move your vehicle to the side. This can potentially kill all the occupants in the vehicle. This vehicle has been towed to the dealer to troubleshoot/resolve the issue. Thank you so much in advance for looking into this issue urgently. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

The driver-side headlight and turn signal on my 2022 GMC Yukon stopped functioning completely. This issue began before GM recall 22V‑903 and worsened immediately after the recall repair was performed. The recall repair required three separate dealership visits because it was initially performed improperly, yet the problem was never fully resolved. During interactions with GM and the dealership,
... I was told the repair might involve a $600 part, but they could not guarantee that replacing it would fix the issue. It is unreasonable and unsafe for me to be expected to cover the cost of repairs for a problem that was caused or worsened by a recall repair performed incorrectly. The malfunction creates a serious safety hazard, as oncoming drivers cannot see my turn signals, and I nearly had an accident because of it. The problem has been confirmed by the dealership and documented in GM Case #74327012. Prior to complete failure, the driver-side turn signal and daytime running lights occasionally stayed on after shutting off the vehicle which I was told that was caused by the recall. The vehicle has been inspected by authorized GM dealerships multiple times, but the defect persists. The component is available for inspection upon request.Read more

It is a known problem that Priuses manufactured from 2004 to 2015 have issues with the brake master cylinder and brake booster accumulator. When the vehicle computer recognizes an internal leak (ABS C1391) or other issue in the accumulator pump, it completely disables the regenerative braking system, which significantly reduces braking power. In my case, the problem is intermittent, and the vehicl
... e computer will occasionally clear the code and operate normally. A slight whirring sound can still be heard (indicative of an internal leak), leading me to conclude that the part is still damaged, even when the code clears itself. This continues to affect my and my passengers' safety because the problem comes back with no warning while driving. Many times at highway speeds, the regenerative braking system will shut off while decelerating. This has caused scares and near-accidents. Imagine you are approaching stopped traffic while traveling 65 miles per hour. You press the brake to start slowing down, and while decelerating, the dashboard lights up and the brake pedal goes spongey. Now, you must slam the brake all the way into the firewall to engage the disks and pads exclusively. Aside from the imminent terror of hitting the car in front of you, now you are skidding on the brakes, worried the car behind you will crush the rear. Sooner or later this will cause somebody to get into an accident when a split-second decision cannot to be made quickly enough. The issue is well-known, and a warranty recall was issued, but it does not cover any vehicles over a certain age and mileage. It has been reproduced by my local mechanic and inspected by a Prius specialist, who both quote about $3800 to fully replace and recalibrate the failing parts. There were no indicators of this issue before it happened to my wife and I the first time on the highway. While I am grateful that nobody was injured, the situation could be completely different had the problem occurred just seconds later.Read more

Coolant hoses defect. I have had non stop issues with coolant hoses blowing out on the highway due to the couplings they use. Plastic is not designed to withstand heat from the coolant and the constant temperature changes. I have to replace the couplings every 6month plus the heater core hoses because of the failure of the plastic couplings they use there isn’t an aftermarket option that is not

I bought a used 2023 Buick Envision with 49k miles on it. It was not covered under warranty due to mileage. A couple of weeks after purchase the CEL came on. It was originally diagnosed as a bad battery. It was later diagnosed as a failed Telematics Module. I had the module replaced on 8/23/25 so it is not available for inspection unless the dealer has it. After reading many complaints for the sam
... e problem on many different GM cars I suspect the bad battery had been drained by the failing Telematics module. Although it did not happen to me directly others have reported the car dying in the middle of the road because the battery died. The car has only been inspected by two dealerships since my purchase. I am reporting this because there are so many others facing this problem. I live in Los Angeles and my dealership was able to get the part and replace it. So many others are not even able to get the part. Their lives are being negatively impacted. I hope you can gather enough complaints and force GM to recall these modules or come up with a solution. This is dangerous and extremely frustrating for many consumers. Thank you for your time. PS - I can provide the invoice for the module replacement if you need it.Read more

Valves are knocking and rattling. Engine sometimes stalls out. The knocking and rattling will not go away. It is getting worse everyday to the point that I am scared to drive it because it will stall out on me somewhere and leave me stuck on the side of the road. Been doing this for a couple of months now.

My 2022 Ford Maverick developed a water intrusion defect caused by improperly sealed body panels under the hood cowl. This defect allowed water to enter the cabin, pooling in the passenger-side floor pan and creating a persistent, extremely strong interior odor. A chemical treatment temporarily masked the smell, but it returned and worsens over time. The vehicle cannot be reasonably operated witho
... ut rolling down the windows due to the odor, raising health and safety concerns. The defect was difficult to replicate, but eventually the servicing dealer confirmed that the leak occurs when the vehicle is parked or driven at a downward incline with the rear elevated. Repairs were completed at Greenway Ford (Orlando, FL) between August 14–21, 2025. The final invoice was $2,040.55. Ford only provided partial goodwill coverage, leaving me responsible for $918.25 + tax, and refused to cover replacement of the contaminated carpet and padding. I also incurred $312.94 in rental costs because the vehicle could not be safely used. This is not an isolated issue — multiple Maverick owners have reported the same cowl sealing defect on online owner forums. Water intrusion creates ongoing health risks (odor/mold exposure) and may also affect safety-critical electrical components or interior visibility. I request that NHTSA investigate this systemic defect in 2022 Ford Mavericks and evaluate whether a recall or service campaign is warranted.Read more

The hybrid car intermittently switches into EV mode after coming to a complete stop (e.g., at a traffic signal or after briefly stopping to pick up my child). When this happens, the vehicle does not accelerate properly once back on the road and feels stuck in EV mode, unable to accelerate beyond ~45 mph. This creates a safety concern when merging or crossing intersections.

My vehicle suddenly stalled while driving. I later replaced the battery and discovered the telecom module was damaged, making the OnStar system inoperable.
