PTU overheated, message is "4WD unavailable" or "reduced functionality". PTU replaced by Jeep, new PTU has overheated and will not go out of 4WD low unless car is turned off, PTU cools off for 20 minutes, will then go out of 4WD low. Dealer has confirmed the problem. After having the 68C recall completed on December 30, 2025, my 2025 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe has experienced a significant and consistent reduction in power while operating in electric mode. Prior to the recall repair, the vehicle performed as expected. The issues began after the repair was completed. Problems post recall include: -Sluggish and weak acceleration in electric mode -No acceleration
... in electric mode when driving at highway speeds -Vehicle failing to maintain electric-only operation -Reduced power and speed when in electric mode These issues have created dangerous driving conditions, particularly on highways and during merging situations where adequate power and acceleration are critical to safety. This vehicle was purchased specifically for its hybrid/electric capabilities, which were a primary factor in the buying decision and are reflected in the vehicle's premium price point. It is deeply concerning and feels deceptive that a manufacturer issued recall has effectively degraded or disabled the core electric functionality that consumers paid for. Owners should not have their vehicles made worse by a recall intended to improve safety. I am aware that many other 4xe owners are reporting identical symptoms following the same 68C recall repair, suggesting this is a systemic issue introduced or caused by the recall software or hardwire modification, so this is not an isolated incident.Read more

I have a 2013 Jeep Wrangler with 180,000 miles. I never off road the vehicle, but after driving on a dirt road, the stability control kicked in during a turn. At the start of the next drive after that, there were 3 lights on the dashboard: brake, ABS, stability control. Connecting the JScan app to the vehicle, the ABS module is completely unresponsive and the vehicle gives a C2200 error code.
... There were no symptoms of this issue before this event. This vehicle is available to be inspected any time. Lack of ABS is a very dangerous safety concern, as neither of my children have ever had to drive a vehicle without ABS. After some research, this seems to be a very common problem. After some age and heat cycles, the electronics in the module become weak, and my single use of the Stability control apparently is enough to push the weak electronics over the edge and destroy the module. This has been confirmed through several companies who repair these modules, such as [XXX] , who no longer repairs these modules, apparently because the computer chips are no longer made, and I have heard stories about the chip maker going out of business during covid. It was also confirmed by a local Jeep specialist, and the dealer parts department also tells the same story, people have been waiting on this module for over 2 years now. A manufacturer of this size with this many vehicles affected by such a safety issue should step up and commission another chip manufacturer to make these vehicles road worthy again. Multiple warning light activations (ABS, TCS, hill descent) diagnosed by mechanic as failed ABS module (combines electronic and hydraulic components) (PN: 68145835AE). Stellantis has not publicly acknowledged the pro

Stellantis's failure to provide replacement components for these modern vehicles places the driving public at unnecessary risk. A recommended resolution is that Stellantis provide NHTSA with a credible plan of action to begin providing replacements for this critical component (and other related part numbers).Read more

My vehicle was purchased brand new and currently has only about 13,000 miles. Despite this, it is already being recommended for a full engine replacement. The dealership has diagnosed coolant seeping into cylinder 4, indicating a failing head gasket. I do not understand how this could be attributed to me, as the car is still very new and has never overheated. I first noticed the issue in April 202
... 5, when I had to begin regularly adding coolant. I have kept receipts documenting all coolant purchases since that time. However, the dealership is refusing to cover the repair, claiming that I am at fault because I replaced the coolant expansion tank. The timeline clearly shows otherwise. The coolant loss began in April 2025, while the expansion tank was not replaced until July 2025—months after the issue had already started. While the expansion tank is part of the cooling system, it would not cause a head gasket failure. This situation has also created a safety concern for my family, as my wife and child are now afraid to drive the vehicle due to the risk of being stranded where most hawaii roads do not have safe shoulder to pull over on. According to the traffic safety of Honolulu, there are numerous cases where people were killed for being on the side of the road. Given these facts, I am requesting that this matter be reevaluated and that the necessary repairs, including engine replacement if required, be covered under warranty.Read more

The first time this happened I was pulling into a parking lot and all service lights started flickering and it said to turn turn off car immediately as I was driving, I pulled into the nearest parking lot and it just stopped driving. The second time, which was Friday, April 17, 2026 I was driving down a busy road and all lights started flashing, the big NO ASB brakes flashing and I had no brakes.
... It was terrifying. Thankfully I ended up going down a hill onto flat ground and was able to pull into a gas station and get stopped by the curb. I immediately turned off the car and called the dealership. This happens without any warning at all, just when I am driving. This car is completely UNSAFE and unreliable. I needed to drive 188 miles on Saturday and when I picked the car up from the dealership the service manager told me NOT to take it on the trip, after being told the updates were completed. The issue has not been reliably reproduced, but the vehicle has been taken to the dealership twice for the same concern. After the most recent visit, the service manager advised me not to drive the vehicle due to safety concerns, indicating the issue may still be present and unresolved. The vehicle has been inspected by an authorized dealership on two separate occasions. It has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer directly, police, or insurance representatives. No warning lights, messages, or prior symptoms appeared before either incident. The loss of braking occurred suddenly and without any advance indication.
