Seems to be electrical / speaker related (forums state its the noise canceling system) This is a safety issue as around 20% of the time at cold start the car emits an extremely loud booming base sound that lasts 20-30 seconds. The engine failed and they lied about the reason of failure. I know this because I've changed the oil myself since 5,000 miles. Every 5k the oil and filter was changed, idled for a few minutes and shut down. Followed by a 10 minute timer and a oil level check. The engine failed while driving on the expressway putting us in a dangerous spot on the outer lane. It was towed to Etscorn’s in Louisville, KY and we were told despite everything looking ok on the outside, there was an internal engine failure of some kind and it would cost $900 to take it apart just to find out. I don’t have that kind of money.

Steering is erratic while driving. Car is shifting left and right by itself while driving down the road feeling like the tires want to go different directions from one another. Steering wheel makes noticeable movement on its own left and right while going down a straight smooth road.

The factory weld on the front end driver's side stabilizer was bad and it came apart on the highway while driving , from the severe shaking it caused, and it could've killed us. The weld was not hot enough to penetrate the steel. I am a mechanic so I can attest , and be a witness , to claim it was a certifiably bad weld in the factory, and this should warrant a recall.

At speeds around 50 mph the steering wheel will "lock up" and become extremely difficult to steer if not impossible. Lowering speed to 28 mph will suddenly jolt the steering back to normal causing extremely dangerous steering response with a danger of over correcting once steering assist is regained. The attachment for the rear defrost failed. The wiring for the rear defrost was poorly attached (bad glue?) to the back window. With the lack of trunk, jeeps end up with lots of moisture spraying onto the back window and freezing. This poor design causes a hazard by limiting visibility to solely the side mirrors.
