Writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the vehicle I purchased approximately six months ago. Unfortunately, the vehicle has been in the service department for nearly five of those six months due to persistent and serious mechanical and electronic issues that have yet to be resolved, despite multiple attempts by the dealership and manufacturer. The most alarming issue is that the
... vehicle frequently stalls and then abruptly lurches forward, simulating the feeling of being rear-ended. This issue presents a significant safety risk not only to myself but to other drivers and pedestrians. I strongly believe this vehicle is unsafe to drive in its current condition. In addition, the onboard camera system activates randomly while driving. While this may not pose an immediate danger, it is yet another sign of the vehicle’s erratic and unreliable behavior. The dealership has sent out multiple engineers to inspect and diagnose the problem, but none of these efforts have resulted in a permanent fix. The defects remain unresolved, and the vehicle continues to be unsafe and undependable. I have made it clear that I no longer wish to have this vehicle returned to me, as I believe it is inherently defective. What is especially troubling is that despite being aware of these recurring safety issues, Stellantis continues to sell this model to new customers — effectively placing more unsuspecting drivers at risk. Furthermore, because this is an electric vehicle (EV), I incurred additional costs beyond the vehicle itself, including installation of a home charging station and a full upgrade to my home’s electrical system. The manufacturer has not offered to cover these costs, nor have they offered to remove the charger or restore the damage done to my home during installation, should the vehicle be returned or replaced. I am seeking a fair resolution that fully compensates me for the vehicle, the additional infrastructure costs, and any necessary restoration toRead more

The car suddenly dead in the intersection when driving the car, then can’t start the car, can’t shift the gear, stay in neutral position all the time. A message came out staying “Brake problem “! A lot of messages showed up, still mentioned “Brake problems “, and after 15-20 minutes, message us again - “Problem solved, ok to drive “. We have AAA tow the car to BMW service center later since we didn’t feel the message was reliable. The service center identified the problem and replaced the Mechatronics Control Unit and returned the car to us after 7 days. I am concerned about the car’s system message, it’s mentioned “Problem solved, OK to drive “, the message could misleading and have been fatal if we continued driving the vehicle to freeway. After we got vehicle back we were still very cautious about the car. I sent my concern to New Central BMW Alhambra CA about one month ago -to the service manager and requested a written explanation of why this faulty message occurred and how BMW engineer plans to prevent this from happening again. But there was no answer so far. There were a “Brake problem recall” and a “Emission Recall “for this vehicle and we went through the procedure already before these 2 brake problems.Read more

To whom it may concern, I am reporting an incident regarding my Tesla Model 3 (2024) that occurred on June 30th around midnight. My partner was using FSD (full self driving) and driving down i5 towards Vancouver, WA and I was attempting to turn on Bluetooth to listen to music when the exterior lights completely shut off. The section of the freeway we were on had no lights, so it was completely d
... ark. The FSD made my partner take over the wheel and we careened off the road because there was zero visibility. Thankfully and luckily we only hit a traffic reflector. What followed has been a few concerning months of back and forth with Tesla. I reported the incident to them immediately and requested data from that night. The data that they eventually sent over was from the previous day and following days, and conveniently missing that crucial period of time. The service appointment I had with them produced a multiple thousand dollar bill to fix the damage caused by the traffic reflector which I did not pay. I have not heard back from them since then. I am reporting this incident because I don’t think lights should be able to shut off completely at night, whether it was a software malfunction or someone accidentally pressing a button on the screen. If this incident continues to happen in the future many passengers may not be as lucky as us to escape with only a scratch. ... eek. On Sept 22, 2025, I drove to the store (8.4 miles round-trip). On the way to the store, the engine light came on. I immediately called the dealership and reported the problem. The car was taken in that night (a trip of 8.1 miles) and left at the dealership. On Sept 23, 2025, I was informed that the intake manifold needed to be replaced (this had caused the engine light to come on) at my cost of approx $1000. The car remains at the dealership (unused by me). Online research revealed that if debris had been found in the manifold, it was to be replaced along with the engine (Hyundai TSB #22-EM-010H DATE JULY 2022). The following has been cut-and-pasted from the web: The issue of the intake manifold not being replaced or cleaned after an engine failure is a direct result of the core defect. When the old engine failed, it likely shed metallic debris and shrapnel. That debris could have traveled into other components, including the intake manifold. If the manifold is not cleaned or replaced, the new engine draws that old metallic debris back in, causing it to fail again almost immediately. NHTSA indirectly mandated that the repair must be COMPLETE AND EFFECTIVE. When a dealership refuses a critical part of that repair (like cleaning the manifold), they are effectively carrying out an incomplete remedy to a safety recall, which is a violation of the manufacturer's federal obligation under the Consent Order. It is my contention that residual debris in the intake manifold caused the warning light and will quite possibly damage the new engine.Read more

Was going 70 mph (speed limit) and hit a deer, car was totaled. Upon impact my seatbelt locked up and I smelled smoke, but the airbags didn't actually deploy. No warning signs or prior issues known.

Unable to update automatically, vehicle was constantly attempting to connect, draining the battery (I replaced the battery and carry jumper cables and a quick starter now). Took into dealer and they are unable to perform updates. They have had the vehicle for 2 weeks and no progress. The forums online have indicated the vehicle was built with whatever parts they could get due to the COVID supply
... chain disruptions to normal parts. The software and subsequent updates do not remedy matters. I have no documents to upload, still in shop.Read more

We bought a 2020 Toyota Rav4 Limited with Sunroof. When we were driving in freeway, we noticed that a glass shattered somewhere in my car. We realized that the sunroof was completely shattered. There was no accident, just a heavy rain. We didn't know what to do, we didn't know if we have to call police in a matter as it was a potential safety hazard. We have seen a lot of complaint about this and
... there is no option to completely sealed it off or get rid of sunroof. We are now scared of driving this car in long distance, we will be trading this vehicle soon because of the incident.Read more

While parking my car and going under 20 mph, my car suddenly accelerated. My foot was not on the brake or the accelerator when this occurred. I was forced to slam my brake to prevent myself from hitting the curb in front of me . This has happened twice, both in the process of turning to park and going under 20 mph. My cruise control was not on at the time. I have taken my car to Honda to investiga

On September 2, 2025, the vehicle’s Hybrid System shut down on cold start and the vehicle would not start. A dealer inspection reported coolant had entered cylinder #4, allegedly causing the engine block to warp, the cylinder head to crack, and the head gasket to fail. This was a sudden catastrophic engine failure on a five-year-old vehicle with no prior overheating warnings, no dashboard alert
... s, and no performance issues in the days leading up to the failure. It is highly unlikely for an engine block to warp without sustained overheating, yet the failure occurred on a cold start. The dealership itself described this as a “premature failure” in their service report. At approximately 26,000 miles, the vehicle’s coolant thermostat failed and was replaced under warranty. If the thermostat stuck closed even briefly, the engine could have experienced one or more silent overheat events that never registered on the dashboard. In aluminum blocks, even short bursts of high localized heat can create latent distortion that doesn’t cause immediate problems but can eventually lead to catastrophic failure years later. Safety Risk: – Vehicle became disabled suddenly without warning. – Engine failure occurred without overheating symptoms, creating risk of sudden shutdown during use. Problem Confirmation: – Engine failure confirmed by a Toyota-authorized dealer. – Dealer service report explicitly called this a “premature failure.” Warning Lamps / Symptoms: – A check engine light appeared briefly three days before failure, then cleared on its own. – No overheating warnings or drivability issues were observed prior to failure.Read more

When applying breaks in the snow, the antilock breaks fail. I loose control of breaking and car acts like the breaks are gone. This has happened many times in the snow. Car has been tied several times for no breaks. When it gets to the shop breaks are working. Shop released any air in antilock breaks but this continues to happen when breaks are locked up.
