When slowing to a stop the vehicle is unsmooth and unpredictable, there is also a sudden release when braking downhill (not sure if they are related). There’s been occasions where the car lurched when coming to a stop almost resulting in me rear ending the vehicle in front of me. The unsmooth/unpredictable stopping only happens at speeds under 10mph when approaching a stop like with city driving
... . I’ve had it to the dealership two times for this. They’ve had trouble reproducing it, but acknowledged it is unsmooth and said that’s just the way the regenerative braking was designed. The holding back and release when braking downhill is completely random.Read more

On 10/9/25 said vehicle was brought to Central Florida Toyota (CFT) for the investigation of water intrusion into the rear passenger compartment. The cause of water intrusion was due to a defective duct (vent) assy (PN: 62930-04040. There are 2 vents located at the rear of the passenger cab.). The cost for the repair was estimated to be $15,153.39. This exorbitant fee includes the replacement of t
... he entire carpeting system and the need to remove the vehicle bed to access the vents. Based on a musty smell CFT assumed that the carpet had been damaged by molds. Subsequently, CFT was requested to have the 2 vents replaced, only, and not the carpeting. In return, CFT stipulated that I must sign a health hazard waiver due the assumed (no evidence) moldy condition. Now, not only can 2 simple mechanical vents cause such an exorbitant fee to repair it has now evolved into a potential health safety issue. Yet, Toyota has failed to provide any caution/warning to the effect of water intrusion into the rear of the passenger area. No caution/warning in owner's manual that vehicle owner must periodically inspect the rear passenger for water, no warning tags/labels inside vehicle. On the other, my Toyota OEM floor mats have all sorts caution/warning plus installation instruction. It is recommended, as a minimum, Toyota must issue a recall to confirm the integrity of all vents in circulation. On my vehicle, the defective vent was due to bad seal which implies poor manufacturing. Secondly, the location of the vents is simply poor engineering. Even, if there's no damage to the carpeting the cost to replace the 2 vents would be $2,500 due to the need to vehicle bed removed.Read more

I have a complaint that needs to be addressed. On Sept. 11 2025 I had a fire in the cab of my 2016 Ram 3500 truck while it was sitting in my drive way. It was not even running. The fire was not very big and it could have been repaired. So I called FCA and opened a case with them. They informed me that I needed to bring my truck into the closest dealership so that it could be inspected. So I then c
... alled and set up and appt for Sept. 12, 2025. I had my truck towed to the dealership and upon arrival my husband who took the truck was told to take it off the trailer. So they took it off the trailer. They informed me that a woman went to the truck, opened the door and stated “ well that’s a gonna be a total loss,” closed the door and had told them to move it to the fence line. She then stated that there was nothing that y’all could do for us and that it would cost me $350.00 to be diagnosed. At this time she already knew that I had an open case with FCA and that I was told to take it in. Upon walking to the truck when my husband opened the door and it had caught fire again. So he went and told some employees in the service dept and they ran out to the truck and disconnected the batteries. Then we were told that we needed to take it off the lot if we weren’t going to pay. So they reconnected the batteries and we put the truck back on the trailer and brought it home. The next day my truck was completely engulfed in flames along with my husbands welder which is used for our business. I called FCA back on Monday and spoke with my case manager/inspector and let them know about the two fires after the first and he stated he would be going to inspect the following day. He then asked if the truck was at the dealership and if the batteries had been disconnected by your employees. I stated no the truck is here at my home and the batteries were reconnected so that we could tow it out of the dealership since that’s what we were told to do. I have told the dealership and no responseRead more

2021 Volkswagen Tiguan, Approximately 40,000 miles
Date of failure: Oct 12th, 2025
Component(s): Engine, Powertrain, Vehicle Speed Control, Throttle body Description of the problem:
My 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan experienced a complete engine failure despite having multiple prior service visits for engine-related issues while it was still under warranty. During the warranty period, I brought the
... vehicle to Grand Junction Volkswagen (Grand Junction, CO) several times for problems including: * Excessive oil consumption * “Check coolant” warning light turning on * EPC (Engine Power Control) mode activating and loss of power The dealership performed an oil consumption test and told me the results were “normal,” but they did not address the coolant light or EPC issues, stating these conditions were within normal limits. The same problems continued after each visit. At approximately 40,000 miles, the engine failed completely while driving, leaving the vehicle inoperable and creating a significant safety risk. The vehicle had to be towed. Volkswagen is now denying liability, claiming the vehicle is out of warranty, even though the same engine problems were documented repeatedly while it was still under warranty. I have opened a case with Volkswagen of America Customer Care (Case #07085098), but there has been no resolution so far. Safety concern:

The affected part is the engine output shaft, which is part of the vehicle’s powertrain and propulsion system. BRP issued Recall 24V-728 for this defect, stating that the shaft can break and cause a sudden loss of propulsion, creating a safety hazard. I received the recall notice in April 2025 and have been unable to safely operate the vehicle since then. I contacted every authorized Can-Am dea
... ler within 150 miles, but all confirmed they could not perform the recall repair because replacement parts were unavailable. The first available dealer, Team Mancuso Powersports Southwest, accepted the vehicle on September 23, 2025, and has now had it for over three weeks with no estimated repair date. Several dealers have indicated that this is a nationwide parts shortage, suggesting the manufacturer has not supplied recall parts to service centers. BRP Customer Relations confirmed that parts are back ordered with no ETA and cited border and customs delays as the reason. As a result, my vehicle has been inoperable for over five months, and the defect remains unresolved. The manufacturer has not provided a repair, replacement, or refund as required under federal recall law (49 U.S.C. §30120). This delay affects my safety and that of other riders since the recall defect directly impacts vehicle propulsion. I am requesting NHTSA to investigate BRP’s handling of Recall 24V-728 and ensure the manufacturer provides a timely, lawful remedy to affected owners.Read more
