This is a brand new electrical vehicle (2025), with just under 1000 miles on it. I was driving on a medium-speed highway when an electrical system error message appeared suddenly and the car lost the ability to accelerate. I coasted into the shoulder, shut it off, and unsuccessfully tried restarting it a few times before it came back on without the error message and allowed me to drive a few more
... miles. About 5 minutes later, the same thing happened--the same message appeared and it suddenly stopped accelerating. I coasted for a short distance but was only able to get partially out of the road. The car had to be towed. Porsche identified problem with one of the battery cells, and estimated 3 weeks for repair.Read more

I lease a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (VIN [XXX] ). On 10/23/2025, while traveling about 50 mph, the vehicle suddenly lost propulsion and the dash displayed “Put in Park to drive.” I had to coast through traffic, stop, shift to Park, and fully restart to regain drive. Within minutes it recurred. This defect is unpredictable and dangerous. I regularly commute on the Ohio Turnpike at highway speeds
... and I cannot risk driving this vehicle because it can cut power without warning, leaving me unable to accelerate while surrounding traffic closes in. I am avoiding highway use entirely and limiting all driving due to the high risk of rear-end collision during a power loss. The vehicle is unsafe to operate until a permanent remedy exists. Background: the vehicle has previously exhibited powertrain/electrical issues (including overheating) and spent ~2.5 weeks at the dealer over the summer. Early incidents occurred under 18,000 miles. Recall context: Mopar and NHTSA show an open safety recall A7C / 25V-710 on my VIN for loss of motive power; status “remedy not yet available.” The vehicle is available for inspection by NHTSA or the manufacturer. I can provide screenshots/video of the “Put in Park to drive” message and repair records upon request. My 10R80 transmission in my F-150 as an absolute mess. Brand new, less than 16k miles. Hard shifting up and down, shift delays, & clunks. The shift delay between gear 1-3 (it likes to skip gear 2) is downright dangerous. Leaving my parking garage at work, while actively slowing down, the truck decides to shift (very much delayed) from gear 1-3, propelling my truck forward and almost striking
... my parking garage gate. The transmission behavior on this truck is both unacceptable and dangerous. Imagine a city/pedestrian scenario. I took it to the dealer, was told "they could not replicate" and they sent me home with no solution. They said there were no error codes. I was told they "reflashed the transmission." There has been no observable improvement. Ford knows this transmission is an absolute mess and refuses to do right by the customer. I later discovered that this issue is widespread among 2017–2020 Toyota Highlander models equipped with the UA80E/UA80F 8-speed automatic transmission, which has been associated with internal gear and pump whine. The problem appears to be a design or component defect within the UA80-series transmission, leading to premature wear and potential failure. This can affect drivability, safety during acceleration, and could result in transmission failure without warning.Read more

While driving at speed in heavy traffic, I quickly merged from the right lane to the left lane to avoid an obstacle. My vehicle and the new vehicle in front of me (in the left lane) were traveling at approximately the same speed, although there was an admittedly small (one half car length) distance between us. My forward collision assist inaccurately identified this new vehicle in front of me as a
... sudden danger that I was going to hit. It immediately applied full braking power and played the forward collision alert sound. This aggressive and unexpected stop spilled and broke items in my car as they slid, roughly strained me against my seat belt, and caused the vehicle behind me to aggressively brake. A rear end collision was narrowly avoided, only due to the fast reaction of the driver behind me. This aggressive and dangerous forward assist and emergency braking can only be temporarily disabled for one drive, and resets every time the vehicle is turned on. I have not had my vehicle inspected for this issue, but communities on the internet have confirmed that this is a common problem.Read more

On [XXX], [XXX] was a right rear passenger in a 2024 Cybertruck. The driver lost control and struck a tree with the driver side against a wall. The truck immediately caught fire. The operation of the doors was powered by a small battery pack which was no longer operational after the impact. The passenger side doors operate off of that battery. Without power, the passenger doors could not open, tr
... apping the driver and passengers in the Cybertruck. The fire moved quickly to the passenger compartment and towards the trapped passengers. The design of the electric doors required passengers who are not familiar with the vehicle to find the location of a manual release hidden from view beneath a panel to remove that panel and pull the manual release mechanism. There are no instructions present to explain to a passenger how to access the manual release. The truck has no exterior door handles. The only means to open the door from the outside was a button located at the base of the B&C pillars. When the electric system failed, that door release button became useless. A rescuer arrived but had no way to open the passenger side doors from the outside. The truck’s “armor glass” windows made forcing entry extraordinarily difficult. The rescuer was able to break the passenger side window with repeated strikes and attempted to rescue [XXX] by extracting her through the front passenger window but was unsuccessful due to the heat from the fire. She was forced to retreat back to the rear seat. She survived the initial collision with no injuries and was fully conscious. She was unable to escape the Cybertruck and was killed due to smoke inhalation and thermal injuries. The failure of the vehicle’s design to provide emergency egress in the event of crash, power loss, and fire created a foreseeable and unreasonable risk of occupant entrapment and death in the event of a collision resulting in power loss. It is available for inspection by the NHTSA. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5Read more

The issue involves the adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking systems. When engaged, the system intermittently and unexpectedly applies full braking force while I am changing lanes on the freeway, even when no vehicle is directly in front of my car. This has occurred multiple times at highway speeds, causing the car to slam on the brakes abruptly, which poses a serious safety risk
... particularly when other vehicles are following closely behind. The issue most commonly happens when the adaptive cruise control is active, but it has also occurred occasionally when the system is not engaged. There are no consistent warning messages or error indicators before the event, aside from the brief flashing of the emergency brake light at the moment of braking. I am writing to report a recurring and potentially dangerous issue with my Kia Forte. My vehicle has randomly failed to start on multiple occasions, requiring a jump start. More concerning, it has also shut off while I was driving, which is extremely alarming and could have resulted in a serious accident. These incidents have happened several times, and I no longer feel safe driving the vehicle. I
... suspect this may be related to an electrical issue, as I am also experiencing: • Intermittent failure of the backup camera • Headlights, brake lights, fog lights, and daytime running lights failing to operate correctly • General electrical irregularities throughout the vehicle I have checked for recalls related to Kia Fortes and found that other vehicles of the same make and model have had similar issues. However, there are no active recalls for my VIN, despite experiencing the same or more severe symptoms described in those recalls. This situation is extremely concerning and I believe it warrants further investigation. I am requesting that NHTSA review this issue and consider whether additional recalls or safety investigations may be necessary for other Kia Forte owners experiencing similar electrical and engine issues. Purchased a 2025 Ram 1500 Rebel X ($82k MSRP, fully loaded) in May 2025 for family use and towing horse trailers in remote areas (solo female driver). At ~8,000 miles, it has had repeated electrical failures under warranty, creating safety hazards (shift lock, stranding risks, public safety impact). No Stellantis fix; Q4 2025 software promised. Video of Oct 10 incident available. Timeline: • M
... ay 2025: Took delivery. Used for errands, remote towing. • Sept 10, 2025 (~7,500 miles): Truck non-responsive in driveway (no fob/locks/dash/start). Blocked spouse’s SWAT vehicle, delaying emergency response (public safety hazard). Towed to dealer via Stellantis Customer Care. • Sept 11-12, 2025 (Visit #1, 2 days out): ‘Dead battery’ diagnosed; replaced. Issues continued to occur. • Sept 12 - Oct 10, 2025: Electrical issues impaired use: slow Uconnect screens (distraction); stuck radio volume; ‘Illumination Alert Unavailable’ (headlight issues); settings not saving (HUD/seats); locks cycling unprompted; proximity key unreliable (stranding risk). Lost trust for towing. • Oct 10, 2025 (~7,900 miles): In remote pasture after dark, cluster went black (no gauges); engine started but transmission locked in Park (‘D’ flashing). Stranded solo female driver (no cell service; tow inaccessible—severe safety risk). Restarts failed; sat 10 min, self-resolved. Video available. Drove home cautiously. • Oct 11, 2025 - Present Oct 14, 2025 (Visit #2, 10+ days): At dealer for cluster/shift/BCM issues. Prior issues noted. No ETA; no contact since Oct 14. Base-trim loaner inadequate. Electrical faults cause no-start, shift lock, stranding—risking emergencies. SWAT vehicle blockage was a major public safety hazard. No crashes/injuries, but repeated risks for female driver. Request NHTSA investigation/recall for 2025 Ram electrical systems.Read more
