RE: Continental Pro Contact GX SSR MOE 245/40 R19 98 H M+S Original factory installed Mercedes E450 tires. I had 3 blowouts from hitting small potholes on 3 different tires in 1.5 years. These are complete immediate blowout going completely flat on impact. It could have very dangerous if I were driving a little faster and fortunately there was no other damage to the car or other persons.
... In each case, I hit a small pothole, and the tire blew out, flat to the ground. Because these are run flat tires, on the first 2 incidents I was able to drive home and to the dealer for tire repair/replacement. The third one was so bad that I could not drive all the way home and had to get towed. But all 3 incidents were scary and dangerous because of the sudden blowouts. The tires were not repairable and had to be replaced. I believe that the Mercedes Tire inflation instructions is unsafe and they should put more air in the tires to protect from the rim cutting into the tire when hitting a pothole. The driver's door "B" pilar placard says the "cold tire pressure: Front 41 psi Rear 47 psi". Mercedes repair shop inflates the tires according to the Fuel Filler Door decal that says " Front 36 psi, Rear 36 psi." That is a big difference in pressure -- as much as possible 11 psi under pressure. I believe these run flat tires failed because of too low of tire pressure when hitting the pothole. If the tires were inflated with the higher pressures as on the door pilar, the wheel rim would not have been able to cut into and through the tire wall because the higher tire pressure would prevent the impact of the rim cutting through the tire sidewall. I believe this a serious safety issue and Mercedes should be inflating this type run flat MOE tires to a much higher pressure and should not use the low-pressure instructions that are on the fuel door label. There should be a recall and repair instructions to increase run flat tire pressure on Mercedes E class vehicles.Read more

Since the recall was announced, my truck has experienced constant ABS and traction control alarms, including an unending beeping warning chime that makes the vehicle unpleasant and unsafe to drive. My local Ram dealer confirms that the repair parts (HCU/ABS module) are not available and that there is no estimated time frame for replacement. This situation has now persisted for months, leaving me
... with: •A continuously beeping alarm while driving or idling, •A loss of confidence in braking and safety systems, •And a significant loss in resale value, since I cannot sell or trade the vehicle while this open safety recall remains unresolved. Impact This recall defect has made my vehicle effectively undriveable and unsellable. I have made multiple attempts to have it repaired, but the dealer and Stellantis representatives continue to tell me that parts remain on national backorder. As a result, I am deprived of the safe and normal use of my property. Under 49 U.S.C. § 30120, a manufacturer must provide a free and timely remedy for a safety defect. The ongoing delay and the lack of any interim solution (such as a loaner or disabling the alarm) clearly violate the spirit of this requirement and constitute a constructive deprivation of use. Requested Action I respectfully request that Stellantis: 1.Provide a functional remedy immediately (replacement HCU or equivalent). 2.If parts are still unavailable, provide a loaner vehicle, temporary compensation, or buyback option until the repair can be made. 3.Confirm in writing the expected date when replacement parts will be available for my VIN. I am filing a concurrent complaint with NHTSA to document this safety-related hardship and ongoing loss of vehicle use and value. Documentation Available upon request: •Copy of dealer service report indicating unavailable parts. •Photographs/videos showing active ABS and traction control alarms. •Records of my prior attempts to schedule service.Read more

I am writing to get a good will repair for my of a 2020 Jeep Wrangler, VIN: [XXX] with approximately 50,000 miles. The estimate for the Jeep/Stellantis repair states after the inspection that my vehicle’s instrument panel cluster (IPC) has a serious internal defect that creates a safety hazard. Wrangler’s instrument panel has gone completely dark, leaving me without access to critical safety
... information such as speed, warning indicators, and fuel levels. The inspection and dealer diagnosis states that , this failure is due to an internal defect in the IPC, which is identical to the condition described in NHTSA Recall No. 24V-652. Although my VIN is not currently listed under Recall 24V-652, the symptoms and internal defect in my vehicle are the same failure mode as the recalls. Driving without a functioning instrument cluster is unsafe, placing myself and others at risk, and constitutes what is known safety defect with jeep wranglers. Repair or replace the defective instrument panel cluster in my vehicle at no cost, as a goodwill repair or as part of the existing recall. I am asking to be Reimburse me any costs already incurred and related to this defect. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

Since October of 2024, I've been having recurring leaks coming through the front right passenger's side at the top corner of the windshield, where the seam in the fabric meets. I have had multiple appointments at Nissan dealerships, where I've been told "your drains are clogged," "it's how it was manufactured," "we'll add some sealant," etc. and the problem has progressively gotten worse and worse
... , spreading to other areas of my roof, staining my interior, and causing mold and mildew issues. I wonder if it's not a sunroof problem, but a roof rack problem. There was a recall on a batch of 2021 Nissan Rogues in 2021 for this issue, but my car's manufacturing date unfortunately did not fall under that recall. Nissan will not check to see if that's the issue since my car is not technically under recall. I've found a huge community of people online who have had the same problems with their Nissan Rogues, and have unfortunately either had to sell their cars back to the dealership, or are living with mold and mildew in their cars because it's a problem that Nissan has not been willing to fix. I'm asking that this problem is looked into further on behalf of myself and other 2021 Nissan Rogue owners whose particular manufacturing dates did not fall under the recall for the leaking roof racks (attached) and are continuing to have water leak into their cars. My whole sunroof, besides the glass, was replaced in June of 2025, and the problem worsened (photos attached). My car is now back in the shop at a different dealership, with the hopes that they can help me.Read more

I am the owner of a 2017 Cadillac Escalade affected by Special Coverage Adjustment 17016 (Program ID N162058750). The issue involves the chrome trim on the steering wheel separating, creating a sharp edge that poses a safety hazard to the driver. I contacted Cadillac to request a repair under this Special Coverage program. My vehicle developed this defect while still under the mileage limit of th
... e program, well before exceeding 120,000 miles. However, Cadillac has refused to provide any repair or assistance, stating that the coverage has expired today. I understand that this is not a legally mandated recall, but the defect is clearly safety-related, with potential to cause cuts or injury while driving. I have documented my communications with Cadillac, including my requests for a goodwill repair exception due to the safety risk, but they have declined to help. As a consumer, I feel unprotected and at risk. I am submitting this report to NHTSA to request that the agency review this safety concern and ensure that Cadillac addresses it appropriately. I seek guidance on what actions can be taken when a manufacturer refuses to remediate a known safety issue that manifested during the coverage period. I am concerned not only for myself but for other owners who may encounter the same hazard. I respectfully ask that NHTSA consider this complaint seriously and advise on how this safety defect can be resolved.Read more

On October 23rd at approximately 0900-0915 hours I arrived at a friends house located at [XXX] . As I normally do, I pulled up into the driveway which has a pretty significant incline. I shifted the column shifter into park, and turned off the vehicle via the push button ignition switch. The parking brake/hill brake system automatically engaged as per normal operation. I exited the vehicle and be
... fore I could shut the door, the vehicle began to roll backwards. The driver's side door hit me in the right shoulder which pushed me to my left and caused me to roll my left ankle due to the down slope of the driver way. While I felt immense pain in my right ankle, I was able to jump back into the truck and slam on the brakes, causing both rear wheels to lock up and skid in the driveway. I then turned back on the vehicle, noting that the transmission position was still in park, and the parking brake/hill brake was still engaged. I had to disengage the push button parking brake/hill-brake, shift the vehicle from park into drive to move back up the driveway. This time I ensured that the vehicle did not move after following the exact same steps. My truck under went an approximately 30 minute software "upgrade" approximately 2.5 weeks ago. I believe there was an issue where the park sensor did not fully engage, leading the vehicle to believe it was still in an operational gear, however it does not explain how it was able to not only over-ride the parking/hill-brake itself, as well as allow me to shut the vehicle off and exit the vehicle. This safety hazard has caused me an injury that has already caused me to miss 48 hours of work (I am a federal firefighter) and will require more missed time should surgery be required. There were no warning lamps, the backup camera was not engaged, the only audible sound was the beep that the vehicle makes when engaging the parking brake automatically. Vehicle: 2023 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Issue: Persistent brake noise, safety hazard, manufacturer negligence I leased a 2023 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid from Clermont Toyota (Florida). Well before reaching 5,000 miles, the brakes began squealing and grinding, posing a potential safety hazard. Multiple service visits failed to correct the issue. Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. and its distributor, Southeast Toyo
... ta Distributors LLC, have long been aware of this defect, as documented in Technical Service Bulletin TSB-0001-22 and numerous NHTSA consumer reports describing similar brake failures and noises in 2019–2023 RAV4 models. Despite repeated notice, Toyota refused to repair or replace the defective vehicle and denied my Lemon Law claim through an arbitration panel connected to manufacturer counsel. This unresolved brake defect creates danger to the driver, passengers, and others on the road. Toyota’s continued sale and lease of vehicles with known braking issues constitute a serious public safety concern. I request that NHTSA investigate Toyota’s knowledge of these defects, evaluate the adequacy of its response, and consider a recall to protect consumers nationwide. ... they won't help me. this is a known issue with this model and it has been recalled many times. i'm stranded because of this car being out of an engine ... mind you the problem started well before my warranty and i was thinking that i needed some spark plugs ... by the time i realized it ... it went right over my warranty.Read more

None of the parts listed above are the problem. But we can hear a weird noise coming from the sides of the windshield and can definitely tell that it's getting worse as the noise has increased significantly as time goes by. I just called a glass company and they told me that the parts needed to get this fixed are pretty expensive. That's why I am reaching out since it looks like there is a recall
... specifically for this issue. Can Ford take care of this issue?Read more
