See attached document for complaint. I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the handling of safety recalls 25V572 and 25V544 on my vehicle, and to urgently request your assistance in having all repairs authorized at a local Ford dealership, due to the profound unprofessionalism and neglect I have experienced from the selling dealership, Pure Honda Ferndale. My vehicle is a 2016 Ford Ed
... ge Sport with approximately 101,003 miles. I purchased it from Pure Honda Ferndale just prior to being notified of these active recalls, after which the vehicle was understandably grounded. The core of my issue lies with the conduct of the dealership's management. Before the recall notice and the vehicle being pulled from sale, I was in direct communication with the General Manager, Mr. Sheldon Taylor. He personally assured me that he would resolve several preexisting issues, including arranging for a vehicle exchange or repairs. These issues include the dealership selling me defective and outdated tires and a rim package that no local tire shop will service, as well as a noticeable and hazardous defect in the SYNC system where the screen experiences complete blackouts, particularly when using the navigation and radio. However, once the reca ll was enforced, Mr. Taylor ceased all communication and delegated my case to a sales representative, who has since also ignored my repeated calls and the recall notices I have provided. I have been left with a vehicle I cannot safely drive due to the open recalls and an infotainment system that fails unpredictably, creating significant distraction and safety risk. The dealership that sold me this problematic vehicle now refuses to take responsibility for its prior promises. Given the complete breakdown in communication and the lack of professional accountability from Pure Honda Ferndale, I do not trust them to manage my vehicle's critical safety repairs or address this additional SYNC system defect. Therefore, I respectfully request that the NHTSA assist me in obtaining permission tRead more

I was driving home at night when my car broke down on the highway. I had to leave the car there and take an Uber home. The next day, I had the car towed to the nearest Nissan Service Center to have it check/repair. They did the diagnostic and they didn't know what's going on with the car, a few days later they told me that the Engine was damaged and needed to be replaced but they were waiting f
... or Nissan to approve it. It took 2 and a half weeks to get the car repair. After the repair, I still have the engine lights come up and the car jerks when accelerating; I reported these issues to Customer Affairs and they didn't do anything about it; they also told me that there is another recall pending and will be taken care of in January. This is not the first time the car broke down, I had all engine lights come up before and had to run the the Nissan Service center; they told me that the fuel gasket was leaking. I don't feel safe driving this car; I have to commute to work everyday and I'm afraid that is going to break down again. I bought a Nissan car because I had like 4 different Nissan models before and they always have been very reliable cars, but this time I think I got a lemon and Nissan don't feel like they need to replace it. I have all the recordings going back and forth with the Customer Affairs where they confirm that it was they fault the car broke down.Read more

While driving at a normal speed (55mph) on I-5 north in Bellingham, WA when the sunroof on my Honda CR-V imploded. It sounded like a very loud gunshot. This was not possible- we were on a clear highway and there was no sign of anything in the car or on the sunroof that would explaijn the damage. DEFECTIVE COMPONENT & FAILURE MODE The vehicle suffered a failure in the 12-volt battery system, potentially involving the DC-to-DC Converter or the associated charging logic. This malfunction caused the lead-acid 12V battery to be severely overcharged and boiled while the vehicle was plugged in and parked. CATASTROPHIC SAFETY HAZARD The failure resulted in the release of highly toxic and flammab
... le gases into an enclosed residential space (my garage), posing an immediate, life-threatening risk: TOXIC GAS POISONING: The boiling battery released a massive amount of Hydrogen Sulfide gas, identified by the distinctive, strong rotten-egg odor. H2S is a cellular asphyxiant and is fatal at high concentrations. EXPLOSION/FIRE RISK: The boiling battery also released highly flammable Hydrogen H2 gas, creating an explosion hazard inside the closed structure of the home. CHRONOLOGY OF EVENTS Tues, 11/11/25 (approx. 5:00 PM): Noticed strong rotten-egg smell in the garage while the vehicle was charging. 5:30 PM: Called local gas company due to fear of a gas leak. 6:30 PM: The smell was still strongly detectable, indicating dangerous lingering concentrations. Suspecting the car, immediately unplugged. 7:00 PM: Identified the car as the source and moved the immobilized vehicle outside. 9:05 PM: Contacted Poison Control due to chemical inhalation/exposure risk. (immediate / risk of delayed symptoms). MANUFACTURER CONTACT & CURRENT STATUS Manufacturer Contact: I have notified Nissan Consumer Affairs of the safety hazard and received Case Number: 55990119. Current Status: The vehicle is currently immobilized and will be sent to dealership for repair. The defective components (battery and converter) are intact. Medical Status: I sought medical consultation and am monitoring for delayed neurological or respiratory effects (pulmonary edema) known to occur after H2S exposure.Read more

This report describes a catastrophic engine failure, framing the event in the context of the widespread Hyundai GDI engine oil consumption issue and its impact on oil-dependent systems like the CVVT/OCV. Description of Incident @ 148,000 miles my vehicle oil was changed. On May 15, 2025, @ 151,000 miles my 2020 Hyundai Palisade was serviced at Patterson Hyundai Tyler (3120 S SW Loop 323, Tyl
... er, TX 75701) for the replacement of the oil intake valve (OCV/CVVT solenoid). With reports of oil consumption. This type of service is often necessitated by sludge or contamination from excessive oil consumption clogging the valve screens and restricting oil flow to the VVT system. Shortly after this service, on 05/22/25, the engine experienced a catastrophic failure. There was an immediate and loud metallic grinding noise (consistent with severe internal bearing/connecting rod damage), followed by complete loss of engine power and instantaneous stalling. The failure is assessed to be a result of the underlying GDI defect related to excessive oil consumption, which can lead to internal engine starvation. This starvation may have been triggered or exacerbated by a failure within the oil circulation path (potentially involving the recently serviced OCV or adjacent components). The vehicle is part of the population of Hyundai GDI engines known for issues where low oil levels—due to consumption—or contamination lead to bearing and connecting rod failure. The vehicle has all maintence records and can provide them. The vehicle is currently located at Greenville Hyundai at 5395 I-30 Frontage Rd, Greenville, TX 75402 and is available for inspection upon request. Service Manager is Isaac.Read more

While driving my 2019 Jeep Cherokee, the vehicle's start/stop system malfunctioned and caused the engine to completely shut off at a traffic light. I had my hazard lights on, and while stopped safely another driver rear ended my vehicle. The Jeep has had repeated issues with stalling and engine shut-off since I purchased it. This is a serious safety concern and could have caused greater injury. I
... brought my vehicle to the dealership 3 times for the same issues once back in 01/25/2023, when the vehicle was still under warranty a part was ordered and replaced, but the same issues kept recurring. When I brought the vehicle back in in 2024 I was told because my warranty had expired I would have to pay out of pocket to repair the issue.Read more

The infotainment screen repeatedly overheats and runs through ghost commands (commands not initiated by the user). This includes repeated, unsolicitated phone calls, texts, radio changes, GPS commands, system tones, etc. This is dangerously distracting and takes the drivers attention off the road ahead. I was driving and the skid, brake, ABS and steering light came on. I was with my kids so I immediately slowed down and contacted my mechanic. We initially thought it would be a sensor. After hooking it up, it was detected to be the ABS Brake module. After further research this is a “normal” issue. A new module is expensive $2500 with the dealer and is on back order for 3 months. We have shippe

Please see attachment: Dear Mr. [XXX] , Mr. [XXX] , and Federal & State Officials, This email serves as formal legal notice, final demand, and a request for immediate investigation into Jaguar Land Rover North America’s ongoing failure to perform a federally mandated safety recall (NHTSA Recall No. 25V-514, Manufacturer D019) affecting my 2016 Range Rover Sport (VIN ????????????). My authorized
... Connecticut dealer confirmed that the required parts for the recall are available; however, repairs cannot be scheduled or processed because of Jaguar Land Rover’s corporate system outage following the September 2025 cyber-incident. Jaguar Land Rover publicly acknowledged that it “proactively shut down systems” and that “parts logistics and digital operations were disrupted.” This means the recall failure is not due to part shortages or dealer error it stems directly from the manufacturer’s own IT breach. Because of this failure, my family including my three children continues to use a vehicle known to have a critical suspension defect capable of causing sudden loss of control. Allowing such vehicles to remain unrepaired for months due to internal corporate negligence represents reckless endangerment, breach of warranty, and violation of federal safety law. I am therefore requesting: 1. Immediate federal and state investigation into Jaguar Land Rover North America’s handling of Recall #25V-514 and the extent to which the September 2025 cyberincident has compromised safety-repair operations; 2. Immediate interim remedy, such as a courtesy or replacement vehicle of equal or greater value until the recall is completed; and 3. Written confirmation from Jaguar Land Rover within five (5) business days (by November 6, 2025) detailing the company’s plan to restore system functionality and perform all outstanding safety recalls. Please be advised that failure to act will result in escalation to: NHTSA’s Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) for a formal enforcement review; U.S. DOT Office of Inspector General (OIG) for oversight oRead more

I dont know the exact component that's failed, but it is consuming way too much oil, i have to put a quart in just about everytime i drive it. When i took it the dealership to find out if it was leaking, or burning oil, they literally charged me 200 to tell me it was either leaking oil or burning it. I personally think it is burning vs leaking, because there isnt oil in my drive way. I then sp
... oke to some one on their YouTube channel that told me to call and tell them my story and they should help me out. I did that but no one ever contacted me about the complaint. It's smokes from the engine and i feel like its just a matter of time before it blows up or catches fire. Even though I can hear the engine ticking and struggle the check engine light is not on. From what I've seen this is a known issue that they are ignoring, even though MANY people have complained. This engine has already been replaced in 2018, and the new one is going bad prematurely as well.Read more

I’ve had 2 readings one from Honda and one from a different mechanic shop. One reads bad fuel injectors from the mechanic shop and the other from the Honda dealership reads bad turbo. All lights on my dash board. I didn’t have any lights on before my fuel pump was replaced due to that recall and now my dash board looks like Christmas lights.

... ival. After arriving at the hilltop, as I parked the vehicle, while applying very light pressure to the accelerator pedal with my right foot, I felt a gradual drop of several inches on the passenger side of the vehicle. Instinctively, I moved my right foot to the brake pedal and applied pressure. However, I immediately sensed that the vehicle was not decelerating; instead, it was accelerating forward. I pressed the brake pedal more firmly, and the vehicle accelerated further until it came to a complete stop after colliding with a rock on the driver's side approximately 15 feet from the point of initial acceleration. Once the situation stabilized, I exited the vehicle and observed a red, non-oily liquid of normal viscosity leaking from underneath the vehicle on the front driver's side, which I later identified as coolant. Upon opening the hood, I confirmed that approximately half of the coolant had been depleted. I Googled AI Mode: Question: For a Toyota RAV4 HEV, is it possible for the vehicle to accelerate when the brakes are applied forcefully and abruptly? Answer (Source): [XXX] Potential Perceptions and Known Issues While the car will not accelerate due to the brakes being applied correctly, drivers have occasionally reported sensations that might be might be misinterpreted as acceleration, such as a slight "lurch" when the braking system transitions between regenerative and friction braking, ** especially at very low speeds or over rough surfaces. ** INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more
