COMPLAINT: 2025 HONDA ODYSSEY AUTO START/STOP SYSTEM FAILURE Component Failed: Auto start/stop system fails to restart engine after automatic shutdown. Vehicle available for inspection. Appears related to investigation INOA-EA25004-10033. Safety Risk: Vehicle has failed to restart approximately 12 times since May 2025, all at intersections with active traffic. When auto start/stop engages at stop
... lights and fails to restart, the vehicle remains stationary and blocks traffic lanes when lights turn green. This creates hazardous conditions where other vehicles must maneuver around a stalled vehicle in intersections, risking rear-end collisions and traffic disruptions. Dealer Confirmation: Yes. Authorized Honda dealership tested battery (good), contacted Honda customer support directly. Honda acknowledged the issue but provided no diagnostic solution or repair procedure. Dealership's only recommendation was to manually disable auto start/stop every time the vehicle is operated. This is unacceptable for a new vehicle and defeats the purpose of this factory system. Manufacturer Inspection: Authorized Honda dealership consulted with Honda customer support. No fix or remedy provided. Warning Symptoms: None. No warning lamps or dashboard messages appear before or during failure. Auto start/stop system operates normally until restart phase, then engine fails to restart. First occurrence May 2025. Problem occurs intermittently.Read more

I purchased a 2024 dodge hornet RT February of 2025. Since purchasing the vehicle, I now have had issues where my breaks are screeching so loud that it is heard from my camera inside my house and blocks over from my street. I tried to address this issue with the Sterling Kunes location and they said nothing is wrong and offered to put a desqeak on it and they never did when they fixed my recalled
... screen. I also contacted the Belvidere Kunes location to get my car in because my car would randomly shut off when parked when I pick up my child from school. I told them it was a severe safety concern and it has been 2 months with no call from the Belvidere, IL location to get my car seen! Now my fuel door is randomly opening on its own. The dealerships will not help me and I have the numbers saved to show how many times I have tried to call them! Receipts of taking it in! And no one is doing anything. When I try to break, sometimes my car speeds up rather than breaking like it should and I then have to put my car in sport mode to get my car to slow down faster before an accident is caused. I have children! And no dealership is willing to fix these issues!Read more

During a normal acceleration from an on-Ramp onto a major interstate a Check Engine Light (CEL) came on with warnings of safety features no longer being active. Cylinder #2 misfired due to an injector issue. The vehicle was confirmed
... to have this issue at a Chevrolet dealership. The car was a CPO through FORD and was covered. I owned the vehicle for 14 days. This unit has the L87 Motor, and had already undergone a motor replacement under the recall warranty. The injectors apparently were not replaced, only the O-Ring. Unlike many manufacturers GM has removed Fuel Injectors from their PowerTrain warranty. A motor with under 5,000 miles was not covered since the body and bolt-ons were original with 45,000 miles. GM has a very recent history of injector recalls and issues. These injectors should undergo the same scrutiny as previous GM injectors.Read more

As we were driving 50mph, the car stalled and lost all power. The dashboard lights all lit up and the car wouldn't start. I don't get unnerved easily and it was fairly intense not being able to move your car out of traffic. After about 5 mins, the car would start again only to stop a minute or so later. After taking the car to the dealer, the issue stemmed from the fuel pump electronics board gett
... ing wet in the spare tire wheel well where water was accumulating. This was part of the recall and the dealer installed a drain and replaced the board. HOWEVER, this issue again happened nearly one year later in our next rainy season. After taking it to the dealer, they said WE would need to replace the electronics board ourselves. We asked about the recall and they said they fixed the issue by installing the drain plug and there was nothing else they could do for us. Even the service adjuster was upset and very sympathetic to our plight as the car was obviously not fixed. Even though the drain plug was installed, the water was still acumulating in the wheel well. It seems apparent to me, and several others who have complained about the same issue, that the recall fix has not addressed the main issue of why the water is coming in and why it's still not draining. Unfortunately we're going to have to fork over $1200 to have it fixed. My ask to the NHTSA is that this issue be readdressed with Mercedes. I would like them to be notified that the recall does not address the underlying issues and the solution they provided does not fix the problem. I appreciate your time in considering this.Read more

6 months and 20,000 miles after purchasing the 2021 Chevy Silverado custom 4x4 with the 8 automatic transmission and the 2.7L turbo charged engine with 32,000 original miles on it from Volume Chevrolet in Forsyth GA I noticed the transmission was jerking when the truck was first crunk and warming up after about 10 minutes and once it got to 8 mph after a while when the temperature gauge was half w
... ay up it would stop and when you slowed down from 55 mph to about 5 MPH to make a turn it would suddenly jerk again, I reported the issue to the dealership service mechanic shop reps during every oil change and they assured me that it was normal and that it would stop happening when I let the truck warm up for about 30 minutes prior to driving, once the factory power train warranty ran out, they informed me that it needed a transmission service and they would have to keep it a few days and it would cost around $800 or so to get it done, the purge pump on the emissions system has a factory defect and I received a recall letter about it 6 months after purchase and they are refusing to replace the purge pump until they perform a full diagnostic first even though they have done a scan diagnostic and it shows the purge pump failed and I have just been struggling with all the cost of living and increased prices I can't afford any kind of costly repairs right now and my truck now has 120,350 miles on it and the issue is getting worse to the point that I am sure that the transmission valve body and some other sensors and control modules are failing, this is not a single issue and other dealerships have said that the transmission was starting to have problems in other trucks at around 55,000 miles and some earlier than 55,000 miles, I believe that this is an ongoing transmission issue with the 2.7L turbo charged engine in both the 4x4 and 2x4 models and with the 8 speed automatic transmission In general, I have talked with several other owners and they have had similar issues .Read more

My 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is currently subject to an active fire-risk battery recall with instructions to “park outside” and “do not charge.” There is no remedy available for my VIN at this time. The manufacturer states there is a risk of the high-voltage battery catching fire. In addition to the recall, the vehicle has exhibited violent, unsafe jolting movements during acceleration and n
... ormal driving, which is consistent with high-voltage battery or hybrid drivetrain malfunction. These unexpected surges and jolts make the vehicle feel unstable and dangerous to operate for me and my family of four. Because of the fire risk AND these sudden jolts, I do not feel safe driving this vehicle. I have attempted multiple times to work with Jeep Customer Care to initiate a Safety Recall Compensation case, but Stellantis/Jeep has repeatedly refused to open a case and continues redirecting me between departments. On 11/17 at approximately 3:20 PM, a Customer Care agent named Louie transferred me to a local dealership when I requested a supervisor, even though the dealership confirmed they cannot initiate compensation or buyback requests. Jeep Customer Care has failed to: Open a recall compensation case Escalate the safety concerns Address the violent jolting behavior Provide written communication Follow proper recall procedures At this time, I have a vehicle that is unsafe to drive, unsafe to charge, and exhibiting dangerous mechanical behavior with no available repair. I am requesting NHTSA assistance to compel Stellantis/Jeep to follow recall safety protocols and provide a remedy, compensation, or replacement for this unresolved safety defect.Read more

November 20, 2025 To the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Office of Defects Investigation Subject: Safety Defect Complaint – Tesla Model S I am submitting this complaint regarding a serious and dangerous safety defect involving my Tesla Model S. Safety Defect Summary: • After the high-voltage battery failed, the vehicle would not enter Neutral. •
... I had to use Tow Mode in the middle of a street on a hill to avoid blocking traffic. • Once in Tow Mode, the car could not enter Park and the emergency/parking brake would not engage. • The car became completely free-rolling, posing danger to myself, other drivers, and pedestrians. • When Tesla returned the car to my home, their technicians also could not get the vehicle into Park or activate any emergency braking system. • The car is currently stuck in Tow Mode in my driveway with physical objects placed behind the wheels to prevent it from rolling. Why This Is a Safety Hazard: A vehicle that cannot shift into Park, cannot use its emergency brake, and remains free-moving after a failure represents a serious safety defect. This occurred without warning and left the vehicle unsafe to operate or even store. Request: I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate this as a potential safety defect affecting the Tesla Model S when the high-voltage battery fails. A car should never lose all ability to secure itself.Read more

All safety and driver-assistance systems on my 2022 Tesla Model 3 failed due to an internal short in the vehicle’s computer, as confirmed in writing by Tesla’s technician. All cameras (rear, side, front) are non-functional, navigation does not work, and all ADAS features (Autopilot, lane-keeping, collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, emergency braking, etc.) are disabled. The vehicle has
... no visibility when reversing and no active safety protections while driving. Tesla documented the cause as an internal computer failure, not related to damage or misuse. This creates a dangerous condition on public roads since the car loses all safety systems. Tesla quoted ~$2,900 for a new computer even though the failure involves critical safety components. This may indicate a broader safety defect.Read more

My 2018 Mazda 3 has an intermittent electrical failure on the high-speed CAN network that causes multiple safety-critical systems to fail while driving. Diagnostic scans from 2023–2025 show multiple U-codes for lost communication between control modules; two later became permanent. The issue appears unrelated to any one component and affects many systems at once. The vehicle has been to every Mazda dealership in the North Texas region (Mesquite, Freeman, Hiley, Norm Reeves, Town North). All performed only basic scans; none completed a full CAN-bus or wiring-harness diagnostic. Town North kept the vehicle for six weeks (Sept–Oct 2025), replaced a coil and spark plugs, performed a camera calibration and a TCM update, but the network failures returned within 38 miles. We sought independent inspection only after dealerships repeatedly refused diagnosis whenever the warning lights were not on at the moment of arrival. In November 2025, a technician found significant internal corrosion inside the negative battery cable; touching the cable reproduced the full failure immediately. The corrosion extends deep into the wire sheathing. This appears to be an electrical defect affecting CAN communication and power/ground integrity. When the fault occurs, multiple safety systems disable at once and the vehicle behaves unpredictably. Mazda Corporate has declined further assistance, and the defect remains unresolved. I am filing this report because this is a recurring safety issue that may affect other vehicles of the same model and year.Read more

I purchased this van in March 2025, it was used about 62000 miles, but dealer said it was in good condition, no issues. In September 2025, a battery light came on, that also activated the Start/Stop could not be used and needed service as well as Service Shifter. I brought the vehicle in and they simply replaced the auxiliary battery and sent me on my way. On November 13th, I was driving and a bat
... tery light came on as well as the Stop/Start not available error, and then moments later said "Stop Safely Vehicle will shut off soon". Thankfully I was only moments from home, and made it safely with my 5 children who were also in the van. Obviously this is dangerous as the vehicle stopping while driving can kill myself, my children, anyone in my vehicle, as well as cars around me as I live in a busy area, Tampa, FL. This car had just been given a review in March when put up for sale, and I had brought it in for an oil change, as well as a motor mount replacement, and the aux battery change, before this. My car has been serviced multiple times and this should have been checked or errors/updates reviewed. This auto/stop start seems to be a key in the safety issues as well since that light comes on every time there is an issue. Now the dealer states they are going to replace my PDC, main fuse box, and see if that fixes the error, but I have read that this is an error in many Chrysler Pacificas and mine is another.Read more

I was driving down the interstate when my Warning Transmission Failure light came on. Then another message said you can drive with limited use if vehicle. Seconds later the Warning Transmission Failure light came on again and said drive to your nearest repair shop. Moments later the Warning came on and said safely stop your vehicle. I pulled over on the side of the road and pit my car in park. Aft

The Cyclinder Head cracked. This could cause the engine to fail, and leaving the driver on the highway or other unsafe locations of travel. The certified repair shop along with the insurance adjuster advised it was a manufacturing defect. The warning sign was an oil burning smell inside the vehicle while stationary and inside the garage.

The headrest on the third row is locked in the upright position and won't fold down. I've looked online and it seems to happen in every ford explorer in the current generation, 2020+. I see hundreds of complaints online. Across the forums and reddit.
