Stereo/speaker system has a very loud static noise every time I drive the car. It happens the most when the car has been sitting in the sun. The static sound is so unbearable while I’m driving. I have to pull over to shut the car off. I turn the audio button off on the stereo but the speakers still have the loud static noise.

I have 47k miles on my car. I took it in for an oil change (Fox Toyota, Rochester Hills, MI) and was told that it was dangerous to drive. I needed a new rear axle and much more. The headlights on my RAV4 do not shine far enough in front of the vehicle and have a straight line cut off at top of beam. While driving in rural areas of the California foothills this issue is dangerous. As you go up and down and wind around rural roads you cannot see far enough ahead to see what might be lurking in the dark. We've had this car Since August 2nd 2025, 3500 miles to date and don't
... believe it is safe to drive at night on winding roads. The lack of visibility in front of you gives you the desire to slow way down below safe speed limits because you can't see out infront of you. LIving in the foothills for many years with deer, other animals or fallen rocks, it has become very scary driving at night with our new RAV4. Searching for other consumer opinions I have found many online forums with simular experiences, suggesting going to the dealership to have the headlights aimed hirer. This would change the stock legal safety settings and I'm afraid of possible legal reprocusions if we get into an accident. I have gone to my Facebook RAV4 group also to ask if anyone else has had this problem. It was unanimous, this is an issue with everyone. Others stated they won't drive at night. I also have a GMC truck and a stock unaltered, low to the ground 2017 Chevy Volt. I've never experience this issue with any other vehicles, present or past.Read more

This is a Thor Scope RV built on the Promaster 1500 platform. The incident involves the Onan gasoline powered generator, which is directly connected to the fuel tank. Next to the generator in the fuel line, there is a small white inline fuel filter connected by the fuel hose going over a nipple on the filter and reinforced by a hose clamp. In my case, the hose clamp was not installed sufficiently
... over the nipple (far enough back on the fuel hose that it did not completely engage the nipple), and presumably from vibration associated with the generator operation and driving, the hose fully detached from the nipple and spilled fuel in an uncontrolled manner until I smelled/noticed it coming out from under the vehicle. There was certainly sufficient fuel to have started a major fire if it had reached an ignition source. Fortunately, I was able to get under the vehicle and push the parts back together once the problem was noticed. But, this would not have been possible if there were any ignition sources nearby. Fortunately, the vehicle was parked and off when the spill occurred. Had I not been able to stop the leak, it is my understanding that 3/4 of the tank would have drained since I've been told that the intake is located at the 1/4 full level of the tank to prevent the generator from running the vehicle completely out of fuel. Photos attached show the part after I pushed the hose back on and tried to reposition the hose clamp closer to the center of the filter. This was very difficult to do while laying on the ground under the vehicle, so I didn't get it on as far as I would have preferred until I was able to get the vehicle to a place where I could elevate it and get better access.Read more

Both events created a serious safety risk, especially the freeway stall where a collision from a fast-moving vehicle or commercial truck could have been fatal. The specific component that failed is unknown. The vehicle has now been at Ron Tonkin Fiat’s service department for more than two months, and any inspection would need to be arranged directly with them. On Nov 5, 2025, the Service Department Head at Ron Tonkin, Terry Bryan, confirmed he was able to reproduce the stalling issue and said a diagnostic code was present, though he did not tell me what it was. The vehicle has been brought in for this issue four times and has been inspected by Rairdon’s Fiat and Ron Tonkin Fiat. It has not been inspected by police or insurance. After the first stall, multiple warning lights began randomly flashing briefly while driving, and every time the car was charged a “Service Electrical System” warning message appeared. There were no warnings before either stall occurred. There is an open case with Fiat Cares. In November 2024, my 2022 Kia EV6 became suddenly non-drivable due to electrical failure consistent with a repeat ICCU/12-volt system malfunction. The vehicle would not start or maintain normal electrical power and became stuck in accessory mode, creating a loss of propulsion and complete loss of transportation. This vehicle previously experienced an ICCU failure earlier in 2024 that required dea
... lership repair and battery replacement. After that repair, the vehicle again developed electrical failure symptoms, including loss of 12-volt power and inability to operate. Due to the unsafe non-drivable condition, Kia Roadside Assistance directed and arranged a tow to a Kia dealership. Upon arrival at the dealership, new undercarriage and wheel-well damage was documented within approximately 90 minutes of drop-off. This damage was not present prior to towing and is located where tow equipment attaches. The vehicle remains in the possession of the dealership and is available for full inspection. The electrical failure created a safety risk because the vehicle became immobilized without warning and could not be safely operated. There was no advance notice or driver-caused event. The failure resulted in complete loss of vehicle function. The vehicle has been inspected by a Kia dealership, and I have been working through Kia corporate and roadside providers since the incident. The vehicle remains out of service with unresolved electrical issues and unresolved damage resulting from the manufacturer-directed tow.Read more

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to express my absolute shock, extreme frustration, and profound distress regarding the catastrophic and recurring failures of the BRAND NEW $86,626.50 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe RST we purchased from Community Chevrolet (200 W Olive Ave, Burbank, CA 91502). We did not purchase a used, low-budget vehicle; we invested a life-altering sum of EIGHTY-SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS
... in what we expected to be a safe, reliable family SUV. Instead, we have received a death trap that the dealership refuses to fix permanently. This vehicle is fundamentally unsafe to operate. We have brought it to your dealership four (4) times for the same critical safety issues, and each time, we receive the same insulting explanation: a "software update" or "recalibration." These are not fixes; they are negligent bandaids designed to clear error codes long enough for us to drive off the lot. We are experiencing terrifying, random SYSTEM FAILURES while driving: "Service ESC" warning "Forward Collision System Unavailable" "BRAKE SYSTEM FAILURE 62MPH TOP SPEED" Let me be unequivocally clear: the braking system has failed twice while my wife and three young children were inside the vehicle, nearly resulting in fatal collisions on the freeway and city streets. This is not an inconvenience; this is a life-threatening defect that you have failed to remedy. The negligence displayed by returning this vehicle to us in an unsafe condition is staggering. The financial and personal toll is immense and completely unacceptable: We have paid for tow trucks three times. We have missed work, leading to a formal warning for my wife's employment. We have incurred costs for rental vehicles and arranging essential transportation for medical appointments and school runs. For $86,000, I expect a vehicle that adheres to basic safety guidelines, not one that endangers my family and others on the road. I believe my vehicle has a serious safety defect related to the engine cooling system that creates a fire and safety hazard. There was serious smoking when the
... issue happened and i shutdown on the highway as an emergency which most likely would have lead to an engine-bay fire or complete vehicle fire.. This failure mode and fire risk concern mirrors the defect described in NHTSA Recall 23V-221 (Loose or damaged coolant elbow leading to coolant leak on turbo/heatshield, risk of fire) for different JLR vehicles but ignores the F-pace model which I believe faces similar concern. The issue occurred on 9/2/2025 at approximately 9.30 AM while driving from US23 ramp to M-14, the engine suddenly reported charging system fault (but actually the serpentine belt had failed), then in a couple of minutes the engine started overheating and i pulled over for emergency. The coolant started spraying over engine bay from two locations and suddenly observed smoke from engine bay. After getting my car towed back to a workshop, I removed a heat shield and took photos, which clearly show coolant residue near the coolant outlet / elbow hose connection above the turbo. The leak appears to originate at the junction of the coolant elbow — matching the failure mode described in the 23V-221 recall documents. I have not (yet) received any recall notice that covers my vehicle for this issue (checked via NHTSA recall search tool on safercar.gov). Because the leak is directly above the turbo / exhaust manifold heatshield, there is a significant risk of fire, especially once the engine warms up and turbo area gets hot. A fire in the engine bay can quickly spread, endangering vehicle occupants and other road users.Read more

While driving home after work on the interstate, I was quite startled to see a large popup on the vehicle's main screen; initially I thought it might be some sort of vehicle-problem, but it was a large advertisement for free access to SiriusXM for a limited time. The ad covered the screen and was quite jarring while driving in traffic. In order to close it, I pressed a red X in the upper corner.
