While driving my 2025 Ram RHO on the freeway I experienced a sudden steering malfunction resulting in loss of normal steering assist and abnormal steering response. The steering became stiff and difficult to turn and maintain control. This occurred without warning. The failure creates a serious safety risk. Particularly at highway speeds, as it requires excessive force to steer and could result in
... loss of vehicle contol, collission, rollover. the vehicle has been at the dealership now for 40+ days awaiting repair. the dealer diagnosed the issue as a steering system failure but required parts are on national back order with NO estimated delivery date The vehicle is currently undrivable and unsafe to operate. The defect presents a clear safety hazard because: sudden steering failure loss of steering assist failure has occurred at thighway speeds driver may be unable to safely maneuver vehicle or avoid obstacleRead more

My wife and I purchased a new 2025 Honda Odyssey Van as it currently has about 11,000 miles and we both have noticed a front end vibration/rattle/noise that can be heard and felt in the steering wheel at varying speeds in the front suspension which leads me to believe as an engineer there are issues with sway bar end links, bad strut mounts, or loose control arm bushings that are especially notice
... able over any bumps. This issue could pose a serious safety issues in dealing with failed suspension or steering that could cause a potential wreck or loss of control of a vehicle and result in a product liability suit for all parties involved especially given suspension and steering are considered critical auto parts in nature. The problem has been reproduced with my making an appointment at Watermark Honda located at 3201 Park Ave, Paducah, KY 42001 on November 19th, 2025 with the Master Service Tech Caleb Buchanan and Service Advisor Harley Littrell both driving the vehicle and acknowledging the noise and vibration. I also have any recorded video while driving at 5-10 mph in the parking lot of Watermark Honda that was shared and viewed by Harley Littrell. The vehicle was inspected with some strut bolts and other front end component bolts being torqued down the same day with the issue not being resolved. Harley/Caleb noted that they were dealing with the same issue on another 2025 Honda Odyssey on the lot to be sold and they were trying to address issues. As of follow-up appointment on 12/11/25, Harley noted this van had several front end parts replaced and it still made noise with this van not being able to be sold to the public. I was advised by Harley to contact American Honda and to file this report. See uploaded video below.Read more

I have little children and my fear is they will be locked in the truck if this happens. In the event of an emergency there is no way to get into the truck without smashing windows. Pirelli Scorpion MS 255/45 R20 105V M+S A large bulge was found on the inside sidewall of the tire immediately adjacent to the tread. We had it inspected due to a slight shimmy in the nearly new (<3000 miles) vehicle, which had been present since delivery when traveling at highway speeds. We were told that the car was unsafe to drive but neither the dealership where we bought the vehicle and the
... dealership where we were having it serviced were willing to provide any relief (loaner, warrantee or discounted tire(s), etc.) Pirelli indicated that they may cover it under warrantee but that the tire would need to be shipped to them for inspection to determine if the condition was due to a defect. We drove it slowly home and after a few days of not driving it while trying to get some assistance, we purchased 4 new tires. We were able to find approximately a dozen other similar reports for 2025 Santa Fes with the same tires that had experienced the same issue; one such report indicated that 3 out of the 4 original tires all developed a bulge on the sidewall. When I first attempted to purchase new tires at Costco, the manager "refused" to sell me tires because he insisted that it was a defect and that the dealership should replace it but they did sell them to me after the dealership again refused to do so. We did not retain the tire and the only people to inspect it were the technician at the dealership where we had it serviced and the manager of the Costco tire center. There were no warning lights, but there was a slight shimmy at highway speed (~70 mph) from the time we took delivery until we replaced the tires. The defect was on the inside sidewall and was not readily visible when the tire was installed.Read more

I believe the OEM 12v battery that is used in the Ford Maverick hybrid is underpowered and has issues that seem to plague the vehicle. I’ve owned the truck for almost two years now and started getting “battery saver” alerts when the truck would sit for a few days over the week or during a vacation. But recently I’ve been getting the warning far more frequently and not even siting for more
... than 24 hours. Last month I had a warning that the power could turn off at any moment and need to pull over immediately. The warning went away after powering the vehicle down and turning back on. Last weekend the car was completely dead after using it all week and only letting it sit Saturday evening to Monday morning. The battery seems to be an issue that plagues the vehicle and I think an investigation needs to be conducted to have this corrected. I even see new 2025 models having similar issues.Read more

I purchased 4 new tires from Braman Honda on 2/2023. I drive the car daily but I also have a take home vehicle for work. On 12/4/25 and 12/5 my son, who is on military leave took the car from Boynton beach to Miami for an appointment. when he returned, he showed me a picture of the dash showing the low tire pressure light on. Up until now, there was no warning of any issues with the tires. I tho
... ught that there may be a nail in the tire but to my shock, the front driver side tire was missing chunks. The following week I had the car towed from my house to Braman Honda. My service advisor called to inform me that all 4 tires had tears and cracks in the sidewalls and must be replaced. Me and/or my son could have been hurt or killed while driving the car with the tires in this condition. My car is only serviced at Honda and I keep up with all tire rotations. On 2/21/25 a multi point vehicle inspection was performed and I declined the multi point inspection and tire rotation on 6/14/25 due to a time crunch. The warranty expired after 2 years so I had to finance 4 new tires. BF Goodrich will only file a claim if you replace with their tire brand. I do not trust their brand and even although they supplied the batch of dry rotted tires which was installed on my car, Honda nor BF Goodrich will help with the cost. I've read many similar cases like mine about these tires. BFGoodrich claims that the cracks are due to road hazards.Read more

I am the owner of a 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon X 4xe (JL PHEV). The vehicle is subject to safety recall 25V‑741 (manufacturer recall 68C) for high‑voltage battery fire risk, and also recall 78C affecting the 2.0L engine. For recall 68C, Jeep and NHTSA instruct owners not to charge the vehicle and to park it outside and away from structures and other vehicles because the high‑voltage battery

I have a [XXX] infant in the home, so any increased fire risk near the residence is especially concerning. Jeep has not yet provided a final remedy or a clear timeline for a fix for 68C, so this situation is indefinite. In practice, the vehicle now operates as a less‑efficient gas‑only vehicle, with reduced usable range, higher fuel costs, and loss of the plug‑in electric function I paid for. I am also instructed to leave a potentially defective high‑voltage battery pack on my property and outdoors, which feels unsafe for my family. In addition, recall 78C raises concerns about potential engine defects and possible fire risk or major engine damage, further impacting the safety and reliability of this vehicle. My dealer and the manufacturer have confirmed the recalls but so far have not provided a loaner, buy‑back, or other adequate remedy, despite the “park outside / do not charge” safety instructions and the presence of an infant in the home. I am requesting that NHTSA closely review these recalls, the lack of an available remedy, and the real‑world safety and hardship impact on owners who cannot safely park or charge their vehicles as originally intended. On top of this, I put about $10,000 down on the lease expecting to purchase the vehicle as a long‑term PHEV. That down payment now feels like a sunk cost into a product that cannot be safely used as advertised, and the situation is starting to resemble a potential lemon‑law case. On June 20, 2025, my 2023 Toyota Tacoma (VIN [XXX] ed a sudden loss of effective braking during normal driving conditions (dry roadway, clear weather). The vehicle was being driven by my adult son. While slowing for a turn, the instrument cluster displayed a Pre-Collision System (PCS) malfunction warning and a Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) warning. The Driver applied the brake pedal contin
... uously, but the vehicle did no decelerate as expected. ABS did not activate, and braking effectiveness was insufficient. During braking, the driver experienced reduced steering responsiveness. In order to avoid entering a busy roadway without adequate braking capability, the driver applied maximum steering input, fully loading the left side of the steering wheel with as much force as possible in an attempt to redirect the vehicle. Any reduction in speed occurred primarily due to the change in direction and tire to road friction, not effective braking. The vehicle was towed to a Toyota dealership. Dealer intake records document a PCS warning and no brakes upon arrival. Event Data Recorder (EDR/CDR) data shows continuous brake pedal application for approximately 5 seconds prior to the event, accelerator at 0%, and brake system hydraulic pressure reaching approximately 12.14 MPa (maximum recorded). Despite this, the vehicle did not stop as expected. No frontal crash pulse recorded. Toyota Motor North America later denied responsibility, asserting incorrect vehicle speed and stating that a CARFAX report indicated prior front-end damage. The CARFAX vehicle history report, dealer purchase disclosures, and service records show no reported accidents or damage. Toyota declined to provide brake system ECU logs (ABS/VSC/brake control modules). This incident raises concerns regarding a potential safety defect involving electronically controlled braking and its interaction with PCS stability control systems. I am reporting a recurring safety defect involving the Full Self-Driving (Supervised) system on my pre-owned 2023 Tesla Model Y Dual Motor Long Range (VIN: [XXX] ), equipped with Tesla Hardware 3. Component/System: Full Self-Driving (Supervised) software and driver-assistance control system. The vehicle remains in my possession and is available for inspection upon request. Description: From the
... time of purchase (approximate mileage ~66,549), the FSD system repeatedly exhibited unsafe behavior during normal operation on public roads, including straddling two lanes, drifting toward lane markers, stopping at green lights or within intersections, hesitating mid-intersection, and failing to complete routine turns. These behaviors required frequent human intervention and made the system unsafe to use. Safety Risk: The behavior created a risk of collision with other vehicles and posed a danger to occupants and other road users, particularly when stopping unexpectedly at green lights or hesitating in intersections. Confirmation/Inspection: The issue was reported multiple times to Tesla Service and escalated internally. Tesla inspected the vehicle and confirmed in writing that the FSD behaviors were “behavioral” and not resolvable by hardware replacement at that time, with no known fix or timeline. Warnings: No warning lamps or fault messages were displayed prior to or during the incidents. Despite these issues, Tesla continued to advertise the vehicle as FSD-capable and accepted payment for the FSD subscription. I provided Tesla formal written notice via certified mail, delivered November 26, 2025, with no response within the stated timeframe. Although a recent software update has temporarily improved behavior, the defect existed at purchase and persisted through multiple service interactions. Additional documentation, service records, and communications are available upon request. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

Exterior A-pillar trim and rubber strip on both sides has detached from vehicle on the highway. The sides got detached on separate occasions. While driving on the highway, the driver side rubberstrip got detached in one end, starting to flap back and forth over the windscreen, making a lot of noise and obstructing the view. The trim did not come off that time. The passenger side entire trim flew o
... ff completely on the highway causing a hazard for other drivers. There is a recall, 24S02 since 2 years ago in relation to this but Ford has not yet been able to address the issue. I received another letter from them to immediately call the dealer to schedule inspection and repair. However, the dealer keeps telling me that the parts have been on backorder for over a year and they cannot address the issue without the parts. How long is it reasonable to wait for this hazard to be addressed?Read more

In 2023, at around 77,000 miles the engine block in my moms 2017 Ford Escape Titanium (2.0L EcoBoost) cracked due to coolant intrusion and we had to have it replaced. I was driving down the road and my roof driver's side roof rail flew off. The previous owner had the recall addressed in 2023. The previous dealership who fixed the vehicle glued down the rails instead of installing new screws. There is dried glue now exposed where the roof rack use to be. When contacting Ford they claim there is no resolution but for me to fix my own roof rack though it was recal

The passenger side is also loose and showing the dried glue as well. Ford states that since the warranty period has expired there is nothing they can do. I cannot find the roof rail on the road to put it back and have been told it is $400+ just for the part. This is a safety hazard that was supposed to be fixed and there is no telling when the next one will come off as that is loosening as well.Read more

Toyota is leaving families without safe transportation.

On 12/13 while driving back home at a red light at night, we heard a loud pop at the driver's rear side and suddenly the dash displayed a warning stating "Check electric vehicle system". The car then would not drive past 25 mph and kept flashing the warning. We got it home safe, and planned on dropping it off at the dealership the next day after jumping it. The next day however, after multiple att

The driver side headlamp did not work. I noticed both left and right headlamps had moisture inside. I took my truck to the dealership and they told me I would have to get an appointment for them to take digital images of the headlamps to send to Ford Motor. So they sent me home with only one headlamp in working order. I made the appointment. It took 2hrs to get the digital images. A crack app
... eared at the bottom of each headlamp at the exact same spot. I left the dealership the second time with only one headlamp working. 24 hours later, Ford Motor told the dealership they believed it was caused by an outside collision and would not be covered by the bumper to bumper warranty. The dealership offered to replace at cost and suggested I contact the State Attorney General’s office and try to mediate Ford’s decision. I made an appointment to replace both headlamps after the weekend at their earliest opening. I have kept the faulty headlamps. I believe Ford Motor is trying to mitigate cost of a faulty product at the expense of public safety. The States Attorney General attempted to mediate. However, a Consumer Affairs Legal Analyst from Ford wrote that the warranty was denied because the headlamp was damaged in a car accident. It was not.Read more
