My vehicle year and model are part of the PTU recall and is having the Service 4WD message, rolling when parked, and losing power. When I contacted FCA, they informed me that my VIN is not part of their recall, despite being the exact issue in the recall, and I would have to pay to replace my PTU myself. 2020 Cherokee owner from dealer purchased as CPO w/23k miles in 2023. Shortly after purchase rear differential failed and was replaced under warranty at 25k miles. At 42k full Steering Rack failure. Daughter on 5 hour drive home from college experienced a completely random failure at highway speeds. Failure occurred with zero warning. It was a dangerous situation. Dealer quoting $3600 to repair.
... Original warranty has expired and CPO warranty does not cover. The company issued a recall on about 5,000 vehicles for faulty steering racks. My VIN was not included, though I have a hard time believing a full failure at 42k miles is simply a coincidence. Steering Racks should last 100-150k. This vehicle is well services and driven lightly. Pleaded with the dealer for help and contacted customer care. Was denied coverage and offered zero cost assistance. Dealer hourly rates in my area are $250 for some context on the quote and a 10 hour job apparently. The part costs $1100. Further, a quick perusal of reviews for other common issues with this vehicle unfortunately lists many. I would NOT recommend this vehicle!Read more

Driving downhill at 70mph on highway. crossed from #2 lane to #1 lane. I did not hit any potholes, I believe I just drove over the "bot dots". This started the "death wobble", the uncontrolled oscillations in the front suspension/tires. It would have been a head on collision if the other driver hadn't slammed on their breaks. This was my last time with the vehicle and it has been sitting at the dealership since January. The dealership service department tells me Stellantis is not working on a fix for this issue, even though it is a serious safety defect. Since then I have been pursuing lemon law however this process is taking forever. They refused to provide a loaner car. I was renting a vehicle but it was too costly. I ultimately had to buy another vehicle, even thought I spent $70,000 on a brand new jeep that is sitting at a dealership. They claim no fault found. ... sors aren’t tied into this and will apply the brakes if I get too close to something or someone/something suddenly goes behind me in reverse. The blind spot monitoring system has gone out a few times and this limits the lane keep assist functions. The dealership has said they can’t replicate the issue and the first time this happened no codes came up despite there being a stored message on digital cluster display. They have replaced a sensor module this time, but as they still have the vehicle I don’t know if this has fixed the problem or not. This is obviously a huge safety issue as it could case a wreck if someone is in a blind spot and I can’t see them and the vehicle can’t help alert me to this. It also seemed to slightly impact the handling of the vehicle as well causing me to consistently need to make micro adjustments of the steering while driving. Among those issues I have been having other commonly known issues with vehicle such as the “key fob has left vehicle” message despite the key fob still being inside the vehicle. It does not matter which key fob is used and the battery to the fob is good. The dealership can’t four that out either and have checked to make sure the serial numbers on the fobs match the VIN. The fan speed pop-up when shutting off the vehicle displaying 127 front/0 rear can’t be figured out either and dealership verified it has the most updated software versions currently available. A lot of these issues have been there since I purchased it 12/2025 or showed up within 1-2 months of owning it. Finally took it to the dealership in March.Read more

I purchased a brand new 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Summit in April 2026. At approximately 1,205 miles, while traveling with my wife and [XXX] child in [XXX] , the vehicle suddenly developed a flashing check engine light and severe engine misfire condition. The engine began shaking violently, idling rough, and lost smooth drivability during operation. I scanned the vehicle using an OBD-II scanner
... and the PCM stored diagnostic trouble code P0302, indicating a cylinder #2 misfire. Due to concern for vehicle safety and possible engine damage, the vehicle was towed to Vaden Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM for diagnosis. The dealership later advised me that the spark plug in cylinder #2 had cracked porcelain and that the vehicle requires spark plug replacement. The dealership also stated they were awaiting authorization/approval from Stellantis before proceeding with repairs. This failure occurred extremely early in the vehicle’s life and caused my family to become stranded during travel. A flashing check engine light indicates an active misfire severe enough to potentially damage emissions components and raises concerns about engine reliability and safety. I am concerned there may be a manufacturing defect, ignition system defect, spark plug defect, improper assembly issue, or another underlying engine-related problem. I am submitting this complaint so the issue is documented in case other owners experience similar early engine failures or ignition-related problems on this vehicle platform. After the low-pressure fuel pump recall repair was performed on my 2018 Honda CR-V at Doggett Honda Med Center on March 6, 2026, the vehicle began experiencing a serious and repeated loss-of-power condition. The vehicle suddenly loses power without warning. This happens with no clear pattern, at highway speeds and also at low speeds. The engine does not shut off, but the vehicle loses the ability
... to accelerate normally. In some situations, it does not have enough power to safely reach the shoulder, leaving me exposed in traffic. This has now happened multiple times and has become more frequent. I have already narrowly avoided at least three serious rear-end collisions while trying to move the vehicle out of traffic. Yesterday, the vehicle lost power again and a police unit had to escort me so I could safely move the vehicle to the side. When I turn the vehicle off and restart it, it temporarily returns to normal, but the problem keeps coming back. This makes the vehicle unsafe and unreliable for normal use. The vehicle is my work vehicle, and I depend on it for transportation. I am now unable to work normally or travel safely because I do not know when the vehicle will suddenly lose power again. This condition places my life and the lives of my passengers at risk. I contacted both the dealership and American Honda Corporate. However, my safety concern has been minimized, and I was told that I would have to pay for diagnosis, even though this problem began after Honda performed recall work on the fuel system. I am reporting this because this is a serious safety issue. A vehicle that suddenly loses power in traffic, without warning, creates a real risk of collision, injury, or death. Honda should properly investigate whether the recall repair, fuel pump system, connectors, wiring, or related fuel delivery components caused or contributed to this dangerous condition.Read more

My 2016 Hyundai Sonata is experiencing severe oil consumption due to a known Hyundai engine defect. The engine burns oil rapidly and loses more than a quart between oil changes. This creates a safety hazard because the engine can stall, seize, or fail while driving. The Hyundai dealership did NOT perform the official Hyundai oil-consumption test. They only checked the dipstick, noted the oil was
... low, and submitted a request for a paid combustion cleaning. Hyundai declined to pay for the cleaning, and the dealership is refusing to perform the required oil-consumption test unless I pay $750.00. Hyundai Corporate also refused to authorize the test, stating the vehicle is out of warranty, even though this is a known engine defect affecting many Hyundai vehicles. Without the official test, Hyundai will not review the engine defect or consider a goodwill engine replacement. This is a safety issue because the engine can fail without warning. The dealership and Hyundai are refusing to perform the required diagnostic test unless I pay $750, and refusing to review the defect without that test.Read more

GM Technical Service Bulletin 07-07-30-032D (2006–2011 Cadillac CTS, automatic transmission) explicitly documents this exact condition: key sticking, Shift to Park DIC message, shifter binding, and battery drain. OEM replacement part is now discontinued. Manufacturer declined goodwill or recall coverage. Dealer refuses repair unless owner assumes full financial responsibility for a used part with no warranty and no guarantee against recurrence. Safety concern: ignition/shift interlock failure causing vehicle immobilization, key entrapment, and loss of transportation for an elderly owner dependent on the vehicle for medical care. Defect evades shop diagnosis due to intermittency. No safe OEM remedy exists. Prior recall: NHTSA 14V394000 / GM Campaign 14172 addressed same interlock system. Current failure represents recurrence beyond that recall's scope. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

My 2024 Volkswagen Atlas began displaying multiple warning messages involving the engine, drive system, and powertrain. Warning messages included “Engine: error start/stop,” “Drive system, please service vehicle,” and other engine/powertrain alerts. The vehicle has had intermittent check engine lights, shaking, rough operation, abnormal noises, and repeated warning messages that disappear
... and then return. This is a serious safety issue. The vehicle has lost power, stopped working, failed while in use, and broken down. On one occasion, when I attempted to drive forward, the vehicle moved backward instead. The vehicle displays repeated drive system and engine warnings and becomes unreliable during operation. I have children and regularly transport them in this vehicle, and I do not believe this vehicle is safe to drive. The vehicle is still under factory warranty, but I have been unable to obtain timely warranty service. The Volkswagen dealership in Jackson, Mississippi advised they have severe staffing limitations and limited diagnostic availability, and I was told I need to take the vehicle to another state for service. I was also told by Volkswagen customer service that towing assistance may be available under warranty, but when connected with towing assistance I was advised coverage was only for a very limited distance 6 miles! I was quoted approximately $1,900 to tow the vehicle to the available Volkswagen service location in Louisiana. Because the vehicle is not safe or reliable to drive, I have also been forced to pay out of pocket for a rental vehicle while attempting to obtain warranty repairs. VW refused to help me with a loaner or rental. I am filing this complaint because these issues appear to involve the engine, electrical system, and powertrain and create a serious risk of loss of power, unexpected movement, breakdown, or failure while driving.Read more

Hyundai - DAW - Driver Attention Warning / Forward Attention Warning System This issue warrants immediate consideration for a recall. Despite wearing glasses, sunglasses, or no glasses, the problem persists. I occasional do remove my glasses while driving, and the warning continues to sound. This occurs regardless of the time of day, weather conditions, or whether I am sitting upright or reclining
... . The warning randomly activates and deactivates, sometimes without any intervention. Occasionally, I simply allow the warning to sound without taking any action, and it remains active for a few seconds or until it triggers a warning that the system will be turned off, at which point it deactivates. I have attempted various troubleshooting methods, such as keeping my eyes open, adjusting my seating position, wearing and removing my glasses, and tilting them to minimize glare. None of these methods have proven effective in preventing the warning from activating or in making it deactivate. This is a persistent problem. Hyundai dealerships initially informed me that the warning might be an annoyance and their response was to simply refrain from using it. However, if a basic feature like cruise control in a 2026 model is rendered unusable due to a design flaw (which this certainly is), it constitutes a clear violation of safety standards and should be addressed through a recall. The incessant alerts are highly disruptive and can be quite frustrating. For instance, driving with an arm in the 12 o’clock position triggers a warning, while wearing polarized sunglasses also results in an alert. The presence of a setting to disable the warning is a welcome feature but doesn't exist, and the system’s persistent alerts can be overwhelming. The alerts continue even after taking a break. It is distracting and a safety hazard. Drivers should be able to adjust the sensitivity of the feature turn off this feature. Currently, there is no way to disable or temporarily disable this feature.Read more

The instrument cluster went black when I was driving. This prevents the driver from seeing warning lights, digital speedometer, the fuel gauge and the odometer. I feel this is not a valid reason and they should honor the recall for my vehicle.Read more
