The braking system failed. As I was attempting to park my car, with my foot on the brake, the vehicle suddenly lurched forward unexpectedly, hitting the parked car in front of me. Both my vehicle and the parked vehicle were damaged. If anyone had been in the car's path, they would have been injured. My vehicle bounced off the parked car and continued lurching forward while I actively tried to st
... op the car by applying the brake. At no point during this incident was the accelerator pressed. No warning lights, alerts, or messages appeared on the dashboard before or during the event. Have not yet taken my vehicle to the Honda dealer.Read more

Rusted Frame Failure subsequent
... ly caused safety of Injured Party and other motorists to be at risk due to the Injured Party’s 4Runner to dart across oncoming lane of traffic with no warning other than a swaying motion felt immediately before losing control. Once the Injured Party lost control of the 4Runner it crossed into oncoming traffic, progressing into the drainage ditch on the oncoming traffic side of highway. Once the 4Runner impacted the drainage ditch at a 90° angle, the 4Runners momentum dispersed by causing the 4Runner to overturn 3 times landing on its wheels in the adjoining field. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Repaonse: Independent Service Center has confirmed the problem with the Rusted Frame, Rusted Suspension, and Air Bag failure. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Response : Yes Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Repaint: No warning lamps prior to failure. FEDERAL SAFETY RECALL 23V-431 FAILED AFTER FOUR REPAIR ATTEMPTS - MULTIPLE SAFETY SYSTEMS NOW NON-FUNCTIONAL My Honda was subject to Federal Safety Recall 23V-431 (MOST Communication Cable causing backup camera failure). November 18, 2025 (48,928 miles) - Returned to Honda San Carlos. Problem persists. Dealer claimed repair complete. December 20, 2025 - Returned to Honda San Carlos. Original problem PLUS multiple NEW safety system failures now appearing: Backup camera (original recall issue) - STILL FAILING Adaptive Cruise Control - ERROR Collision Mitigation System - ERROR Lane Keep Assist System - ERROR Auto High Beam System - ERROR Front camera - ERROR DEALER RESPONSE: Honda San Carlos now claims new failures are "unrelated" to recall 23V-431 and proposes $2,900 for front camera replacement. I declined as all failing systems communicate via the MOST network that was subject to the original recall. SAFETY CONCERN: I now have a vehicle with MULTIPLE non-functional federally-mandated and safety-critical systems due to what appears to be the same MOST communication defect that recall 23V-431 was supposed to fix. The recall remedy has demonstrably failed and the problem is worsening. Honda's recall remedy is inadequate and has resulted in cascading safety system failures. While driving on the freeway at normal highway speed, the vehicle experienced a sudden and catastrophic engine failure. The engine immediately lost power, and the vehicle shut down within seconds. There was no prior warning or opportunity to take corrective action. The vehicle became completely disabled and could not be driven. This occurred late at night with limited traffic, and I was LUCKY to
... be near a freeway exit. I was able to coast toward the exit, but the engine seized fully, resulting in total loss of propulsion and blocking the freeway exit ramp. Law enforcement had to assist due to the disabled vehicle creating a traffic obstruction and safety hazard. A tow truck was required to remove the vehicle because it could not be restarted or moved. Under normal traffic conditions, this sudden loss of engine power at freeway speed could have resulted in a SERIOUS, potentially FATAL COLLISION. The outcome depended on luck, timing, and location rather than any safety system functioning as intended. The engine was later diagnosed by an authorized Hyundai dealership as seized due to internal failure. Hyundai denied warranty coverage because a software safety campaign had not been completed prior to the failure, even though the failure occurred suddenly and without warning, leaving no opportunity to complete the campaign. However, at the time of the failure, the NHTSA recall lookup tool showed ZERO unrepaired recalls associated with this vehicle’s VIN. The campaign referenced by Hyundai is intended only to detect certain engine conditions and does not repair engine defects. In this case, the engine failed before any detection or warning could occur. The vehicle had just been refueled and was equipped with four brand-new tires, confirming it was being operated normally. This incident involved an unexpected and complete loss of engine power at freeway speed due to an apparent engine defect, presenting a SERIOUS SAFETY RISK to the driver and other motorists.Read more

I am experiencing a recurring battery/charging system detection warning with my vehicle that has not been resolved despite multiple service visits. The warning continues to reappear after the vehicle is returned to me, indicating the issue has not been properly diagnosed or repaired. My vehicle has been in the shop approximately 5 times for this same issue. Each time, I am told the problem is res

I have made repeated attempts to work with GM and the dealership, but meaningful assistance or escalation has not occurred. This ongoing electrical issue raises concerns about the reliability and safety of the vehicle, as well as GM’s failure to correct a known, documented problem. I am requesting appropriate escalation and resolution, including further diagnostic intervention by a regional service manager or field engineer, or consideration of alternative remedies if the issue cannot be permanently repaired.Read more

Shortly after purchasing the vehicle, I began experiencing intermittent electrical and driver assistance system malfunctions. These issues included warning messages, unexpected system behavior, and periods where multiple advanced driver assistance features were unavailable or disabled. The problem first occurred around April 4, 2025, at approximately 665 miles. Since then, the issue has occurred
... intermittently and has been difficult to predict or reliably reproduce. I brought the vehicle to an authorized dealer multiple times for warranty repair. On at least one visit, the dealer was unable to duplicate the concern. On subsequent visits, the dealer performed warranty-related diagnostics and repairs; however, the original issues have not been clearly confirmed as resolved. At times, the vehicle was deemed drivable but not confirmed to be fully repaired. Manufacturer technical assistance (STAR/engineering) has been involved in reviewing data and test results. As of the most recent service visit, the vehicle remains under review, and I do not have confirmation that the root cause has been identified or corrected. The intermittent nature of the malfunction and loss of driver assistance features creates concern for vehicle reliability and safety, especially when the systems fail without warning.Read more

Meanwhile, I’m stuck having to pay about 3x the cost to charge at various superchargers/DC fast chargers since it can DC charge only. Paying a lease for an electric car that I can’t charge at home. Each time it breaks, I have to spend a lot of my time driving to and from the dealership for repairs, taking various less desirable loner cars (usually a Volvo XC40 or XC60). Just a big investment of my time (driving to and from dealership about a dozen times over the past 9 months), and financial cost of charging at 3x the rate, essentially at my own expense. Frustrating that a literally brand new car has had 3 pretty critical failures in less than a year of ownership and all the costs are dumped on the consumer. Date & Time: December 25, approximately 6:00 PM Location: Northbound I-880 between the Mowry Avenue and Thornton Avenue exits, Fremont, CA Weather & Road Conditions: Heavy rain at the time of the incident. Road surface was wet with reduced visibility. Vehicle & System State: Tesla Model Y. Driver assistance / self-driving functionality was active at the time of the incident (traffic-aware cruis
... e control / Autopilot functionality). Description of the Incident: While driving northbound on I-880 in heavy rain, the vehicle had been operating normally. Without warning, the vehicle appeared to incorrectly detect that it was drifting out of its lane and attempted to correct this perceived drift. Instead of a minor lane correction, the vehicle abruptly applied heavy braking and initiated a sudden and aggressive left steering maneuver. The car crossed approximately four lanes of traffic in the same direction of travel and continued rotating, ultimately performing an unintended U-turn while remaining on the northbound side of the highway. As a result, the vehicle came to a stop oriented against the direction of travel, facing oncoming northbound traffic. Immediately afterward, the vehicle unexpectedly began reversing at high speed without driver input, creating an additional imminent risk of collision with the outer highway wall (noise barrier separating the highway from adjacent residential areas). During this entire sequence of events, I was unable to regain control of the vehicle despite attempting to intervene. There were no vehicles immediately surrounding us at that moment. Had there been nearby traffic, this incident would likely have resulted in a severe or fatal multi-vehicle collision. Occupants: My wife and two young children were in the vehicle. The children were asleep in the back seat, secured in car seats. Outcome: No physical collision occurred. However, the incident caused extreme fear and distress, and we remain shaken by the event.Read more

While driving at normal speed, I suddenly heard a very loud explosion-like “boom” coming from the roof of the vehicle. I immediately pulled over and discovered that the panoramic roof glass had shattered, leaving a large opening/hole in the glass. There was no impact from any object, no debris strike, and no visible impact point or damage consistent with road debris. Nothing hit the vehicle be
... fore or during the incident. The failure occurred suddenly and without warning, creating a serious safety concern. Shattered glass could have entered the passenger compartment and startled the driver, potentially causing loss of control. Based on the nature of the failure (loud explosive sound, sudden collapse, no impact evidence), this appears to be a spontaneous glass failure / manufacturing defect of the panoramic roof. This incident raises concerns about the safety and structural integrity of panoramic roof glass on this vehicle model.Read more

My 2022 had a new crate engine put in at 26,000 miles in approx June 2025 (told me it would be 2 days but in less than 24hrs the service advisor called and told me it was completed) and from the second I picked up my truck and started it at the dealership, I heard a loud, fast ticking noisy sound coming from under the hood so I popped my hood and it sounded like a diesel engine and as I started d
... riving I felt a weird popping/vibrating noise when turning either right or left at slow speeds and it felt like there were no shocks or motor mounts or something was bent and the rear end was skipping and making a loud thud when slightly stepping on gas pedal and Toyota said it's all normal. It also lost all power while I was driving 2 days after I picked it up from engine replacement along with the continuous surging forward when taking off from stop sign or red light. My front seat is cracked and they refused to fix it under warranty, my brakes squeal so bad and they said they ordered parts under TSB but it will be months before they come in, it's now been 7 months and still nothing. I will not drive further than 10 miles from my home Every time I get in this truck and put it in D, I fear for my life and when I put it in P, I breathe a sigh of relief. AutoNation Toyota in Weston, Fl replaced my engine and I truly believe that whoever put my new engine in, didn't put it back together correctly and damaged the suspension/steering system as well as the new ticking engine that is so rough. My new 2nd engine needs another engine. I feel like this truck is going to get me killed.Read more

My vehicle is subject to two open safety recalls: 68C (PHEV High Voltage Battery) and 78C (PHEV 2.0L Engine Fire / Loss of Propulsion). Recall 78C currently has no available remedy and involves risk of engine fire and sudden loss of propulsion without warning. The manufacturer has issued guidance advising modified use and safety precautions, including parking the vehicle outside and avoiding cer
... tain operating conditions. Based on these warnings and the lack of a remedy, I do not feel safe operating or using the vehicle as intended. I contacted Jeep/Stellantis Recall Customer Care multiple times and was assigned a case number. However, no loaner vehicle or transportation assistance has been provided, my assigned case manager and supervisor did not follow up, and my local Jeep dealer has not contacted me to schedule service or provide alternatives. Due to the unresolved safety recall, lack of remedy, and lack of manufacturer follow-through, I am unable to safely use the vehicle.Read more
