THE WINDSHIELD WIPER ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE SLAMS ACROSS THE WINDSHIELD AND IS DAMAGING THE WINDSHIELD WHEN EXCEEDING 36 MPH. THIS IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION WHEN AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND NOT BEING ABLE TO MAINTAIN HIGHWAYS SPEEDS. PLUS THE WINDSHIELD IS BEING DAMAGED AND THE INTEGRITY OF WINDSHIELD MAY BECOME IN QUESTION. WHEN RUNNING THE REFRIGERATOR, NORCOLD MODEL 1210, ON PROPANE, THE REFRIGERATOR STARTED MAKING A LOUD SOUND AND THE WOOD PANEL ON SIDE OF REFRIGERATOR BECAME VERY HOT, THUS BECOMING A FIRE HAZARD. I TURNED OFF THE PROPANE FOR I WAS FEARFUL OF THE WOOD PANEL BECOMING INFLAMED.

THE FIRST TIME THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS FAILED WAS IN OCT 2018. I WAS RETURNING FROM A TRIP AND WAS IN COLORADO WHEN IT STARTED RAINING AND LIGHT SNOW. I NOTICED WAS THE DRIVERS SIDE WIPER BLADE WAS COMING AWAY FROM THE WIPER ARM. I PULLED OVER 3 TIMES IN THE RAIN ON INTERSTATE 70 TO TRY TO ATTACH IT. ... ENTIRE WIPER ASSEMBLY SUDDENLY FLOPPED TO THE OUTSIDE OF THE MOTORHOME. IT WAS NO LONGER WORKING. I HAD TO FIND AN OFF RAMP TO PULL OFF. UPON EXAMINING IT I WAS ABLE TO DETERMINE THE BLADE ASSEMBLY AND WIPER MOTOR WERE STRIPPED OUT. I TRIED TO CONTINUE TO DRIVE UNTIL THE RAIN WAS SO BAD I WAS UNABLE TO SEE. I HAD FOUND A REST AREA TO SAFELY PULL INTO AND CALL FOR ROAD SIDE ASSISTANCE. AFTER WAITING 3 HOURS AND MAKING SEVERAL MORE CALLS FOR HELP I WAS ABLE TO FIND TO PROCEED AS THE RAIN HAD STOPPED. A LITTLE FURTHER DOWN THE ROAD I SPOTTED A CAMP GROUND AND DECIDED TO STAY AS IT WAS GETTING DARK. THE NEXT MORNING WAS CLEAR AND I HEADED TO ST. GEORGE UT. I STOPPED AT A FORD DEALERSHIP TO SEE ABOUT GETTING A NEW WIPER ASSEMBLY. THEY SAID THEY DIDNT HAVE WHAT I NEEDED AND TO CONTACT JAYCO. I EVEN STOPPED AT AN AUTO PARTS STORE AND WAS TOLD THEY DIDNT CARRY THE PART AND TO TRY FORD. NOW FAST FORWARD TO 2019 AFTER HAVING THE WIPERS WORKED ON SEVERAL TIMES ST CAMPING WORLD OVER THE PAST 8 MONTHS , I WAS ON A TRIP FROM NV TO FLORIDA IN EARLY NOVEMBER WHEN DRIVING THOUGH TX THE WIPERS AGAIN STARTING FAILING. IT WAS TILL I WAS HEADING HOME THAT THE ENTIRE WIPER STRIPED OUT AGAIN. I MADE 2 ATTEMPTS TO STOP AT A CAMPING WORLD AND 1 ATTEMPT TO STOP AT A FORD DEALER. AFTER MANY ATTEMPTS TO GET THE TREAD OFF THE TRAILER AND MY HUSBAND CAUSING INJURY TO HIS ARMS FROM THE WIRES OF THE TIRE, WE CONTACTED A TOWING COMPANY FOR ASSISTANCE AT THE RECOMMENDATION OF TOWING SERVICES FROM THE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE. THE TOW OWNER ARRIVED & WAS ABLE TO REMOVE THE TREAD AND PLACE THE SPARE TIRE ON. THIS BLOWOUT RESULTED IN BREAK DAMAGE TO BREAK 2 & SKIRT DAMAGE TO THE CAMPER. WE CONTINUED TO OUR DESTINATION EXITING I65NB IN MONTGOMERY & TRAVELING THE REST OF THE WAY ON HWY 31. ON HWY 31 NEAR THE PINE LEVEL 65 OVER PASS TIRE 3 BLEW OUT. THE NET WEIGHT OF THE TRAILER IS LISTED AS 2455 LB. I CONTACTED JAYCO ABOUT THIS DISCREPANCY. THE FIRST PERSON AGREED THAT THE TIRE RATING WAS FOR ONLY 1360 EACH TIRE, TWO (2) TIRES EQUALING 2720. LBS, WHICH WOULD BE SUFFICIENT RATING. THE SPECS CALL FOR ADDITIONAL WEIGHT APPX 755 LBS. THAT WEIGHT BRINGS THE LOAD UP TO APPX 3200LBS. JAYCO REP SAID THEY DIDN'T HAVE THOSE TIRES ANYMORE AND GAVE ME A PART # TO REPLACE TIRES AND RIMS AT A LOCAL DEALER. WHEN I ASKED WHY THEY WOULD BE SELLING AN UNDERRATED TIRE ON THEIR TRAILERS, THEY RESPONDED WITH "THE NHTSA HAD NEVER RECEIVED A COMPLAINT, SO THEY MUST BE OK"? SOMETHING IS WRONG THAT JAYCO CONTINUES TO SELL TIRES UNDERRATED FOR THEIR TRAVEL TRAILERS.
