Jaguar Land Rover North America (JLR) continues to neglect its federal recall obligations for the 2019 I-PACE under recalls H441, H514, and H536, exposing owners to serious fire risks. Despite multiple recall efforts, thermal overload incidents persist, proving JLR’s interim remedies—software updates and charging restrictions—are ineffective. JLR admits in its notices that affected vehicles
... remain unsafe, yet fails to resolve the defect or provide fair compensation. The only remedy is a manufacturer buyback, but JLR systematically undervalues offers, basing them on depressed Kelley Blue Book (KBB) values from Oct 2024 instead of pre-defect values minus reasonable depreciation. This forces owners into financial losses while JLR’s delays further erode resale value. JLR has refused to provide clear documentation on its buyback calculations, delayed responses to affected owners, and employed coercive tactics, telling consumers to accept flawed offers or risk future depreciation. In March 2023, nine months after purchasing our I-PACE, we experienced the first of three "Traction Battery Faults," narrowly avoiding fire. Since then, our vehicle has been restricted to an 80% charge, reducing range by 26% while still requiring outdoor parking due to fire risk. JLR’s failure to act promptly violates federal safety standards and leaves affected vehicles as potential hazards in public spaces. I urge NHTSA to investigate and enforce timely recall remedies, fair valuation processes, and immediate buyback completion. Owners should not be receiving emails like this. "It appears that we cannot agree on the repurchase of your MY2019 Jaguar I-PACE impacted by recall H514/H536. Please note that this final recall remedy will remain open on your vehicle. In the future, should you decide to accept the H536 final recall remedy (repurchase) for your MY2019 Jaguar I-PACE, the amount offered at that time may not be the same as today, due to depreciation, age, and mileage."Read more

[XXX] almost every light on my dash came on & my brakes locked up. I barely made it to the side of the road quickly enough to avoid being struck by traffic. On February 7, 2025. ... to commute almost an hour each way to work every day. Not only have I been devastated/traumatized, I’ve paid a Mechanic $1500 twice within two months as well as almost $2500 in parts for these repairs. I’m out over $7k, and every time I get behind the wheel of the car I am afraid. I’ve never experienced a fear of driving in my life, and I am almost [XXX] years old. This is my 8th Toyota. My boyfriend drives a Toyota, as well as his son, and both of my twin boys… We are now in the process of switching our Toyotas out for something more safe. I never thought I would hear those words coming out of my mouth, but it’s clear that Toyota has no regard for our safety anymore. Not only that, but they’ve set up the recall for these parts in such a way that the majority of people are no longer within the parameters by the time the brake booster assembly fails. This is by design. I don’t know how they sleep at night, Toyota should be ashamed of themselves. I am sad to say that after 35 years of being a Toyota Family, we are all switching to Honda. In August of 2024, the ABS light came on in my 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (manual transmission). I took it to my mechanic who reported that the error code indicated that the ABS module was bad and needed replacing. We authorized the repair and waited for him to call with a timeline for it to be ready. He was unable to locate any parts from any of his normal suppliers and called the Jeep dealersh

He asked the dealership service department about a timeline for the part and was told end of September 2024. That date then became November 2024, January 2025, and most recently March 20, 2025 with no part ordered yet. Jeep has failed to provide a replacement part or repair option for this critical component that is failing in multiple year and models of Jeep Wranglers and the risk to injury is significant if it fails while the car is being driven. I either have to choose to not drive the car I have paid for and maintained or I have to play Russian roulette every time I get behind the wheel and wonder if this is the ride where the module will fail.Read more

The car is in pristine condition with the exception of the shudder which is constant every single day, is worse when turning the steering wheel at any turn and it looses power making very dangerous to merge at the highway. There are so many complaints yet the NHTSA has not done anything. I did the same again and got to bring the car to
... the side of the highway. It started and stopped several times. I got it to run again so I exited the highway. It turned off again once I was off the highway. I got to drive it slowly to the dealer. He said it had never happened (which is untrue, I found out it is a recurring problem on the GM 6.2 liter). I had brought the car for service to the same dealership about a week prior to the incident. At that time, I told the dealer that the motor was making subtle weird noises. They serviced the car and gave it back to me stating that everything was ok and that nothing showed on their computer. When I picked up the car after the shutting off incident, I was told that their system showed prior issues but that nothing needed to be done since it was not detecting any problem at the time of pick up. About a week after I picked up my truck (after the shutting off issue was supposed to have been taken care of), I returned because I was still noticing the noise. While on a test drive with a GM mechanic, the motor suddenly started making very loud clicking and squeaking noises. He told me to stop right away. The manager at the dealership told me I would get a new motor because there was a recuring issue with the GM 6.2l. After a week, he said only some parts would be changed and that GM would not replace the whole motor. I told him I did not feel safe driving the truck and he said GM decides what to replace not me. I read online that the motor and all oil filters, ducts etc need to be replaced to avoid debris and future problems. No warning light ever went on. Terrifying experience.Read more
