I THEN SHIFTED INTO DRIVE AND THE ENGINE REMAINED AT IDLE SPEED. I THEN , AT IDLE SPEED, TRAVELED TWO BLOCKS TO MY HOUSE. THE SMELL OF THE BURNING BRAKE PADS WAS TERRIBLE.
