The transmission makes a whining noise, especially when pulling, as in driving up an incline. I took the 2018 Highlander to Rusty Drewing Toyota in Jefferson City, MO to be diagnosed. They said the transmission needs to be replaced. In researching the problem, I found a bulletin/recall: 7A61K20482. The bulletin says the serial number must be before 7A617E03416. I want to get on your list and

I am experiencing an issue with my brakes. When I am at a red light and I brake, I find my brakes start to descend. So it's brake, then the brake moves a bit down towards the floor. Then it moves down a bit more. I am still able to brake but I find that the brake pedal moves down a few times while I am sitting at a red light. I am greatly concerned.

What component failed and is it available for inspection? The front driver-side roof seam on my 2022 Toyota Tundra developed corrosion under the paint and eventually opened enough for rainwater to enter the cabin. Water drips directly into the A-pillar area onto the side curtain airbag wiring, squib connector, and padded harness. It also reaches the dashboard and electrical buttons near the steeri
... ng wheel during rain. The roof seam, A-pillar wiring, interior rust staining, and all affected components remain available for inspection. How was safety put at risk? The A-pillar contains the SRS curtain airbag system, its wiring, and connectors that should never be exposed to moisture. Continuous water intrusion over many months can cause corrosion, increased resistance, short circuits, or damage to the airbag inflator/squib circuit, which may lead to unintended deployment or failure to deploy in a crash. Water reaching the dashboard controls and electrical switches could cause intermittent electrical faults or malfunction of driver controls. These issues present a significant safety risk because the vehicle’s airbag and electrical systems may not function as designed. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed? Yes. The Toyota dealer has repeatedly observed the active leak, interior rust streaks, and bubbling/corrosion along the roof seam. The water intrusion occurs every time it rains. Has the vehicle been inspected? Yes. Toyota has inspected the truck multiple times, including by a Field Technical Specialist. However, Toyota has been unable to provide complete documentation or photos from the FTS inspection, and the underlying safety issue remains unresolved. No inspections have been done by police or insurance. Warning lamps or messages? No warning lamps appeared. The first symptom was water leaking into the cabin around March 2024, followed by rust streaking inside the A-pillar and exterior bubbling. The issue continues during rainfall.Read more

My 2019 Jaguar F Pace has been leaking fluids for over 2 years. A mechanic repaired a coolant pump, however there continues to be fluids leaking. After researching, it was brought to my attention this has happened to thousands of f pace owners. I am the only owner of my car whi

Toyota has just extended the engine recall for debris left in it thru the 2024 year model for all non-hybrid Tundra vehicles. This recall makes no sense the Hybrid vehicles have the exact same engine and therefore have the exact same safety issue. The claim they are not being recalled because they can still be powered by the hybrid system, but this is false. If the engine seizes from this debri
... s it will render the vehicle inoperable and cause a safety issue too. Those with the Hybrid who have experienced the failure confirm the vehicle becomes inoperable. When they take it to Toyota if still under warranty they are only offered a short block rebuild and not the long block and turbos as all non-hybrid receive under the recall. Please look into this issue and force Toyota to extend the recall to both Hybrid and Non-Hybrid as they both have the same engine and pose the same safety risk to the driver and other vehicles on the road.Read more

The vehicle has experienced the Traction Battery Fault three times, which is the warning signal provided when there is a main battery fault situation. During the latest incident, the warning appeared and shortly afterward the vehicle emitted white smoke with an electrical odor and crackling from the front undercarriage. Emergency services were contacted through 911, and firefighters disconnected
... the 12V battery to stabilize the vehicle. Two previous traction-battery-related repair attempts were performed by Jaguar, and a third repair is currently underway. The repeated failure of the high-voltage traction battery system represents a potential fire risk and electrical hazard. I experienced lifter and camshaft failure on my 2020 GMC Sierra equipped with the 6.2L V8 engine at approximately 72,000 km. GMC denied warranty coverage as my factory warranty had expired only four months earlier. The repair cost me nearly $10,000 out of pocket. My vehicle has been meticulously maintained with regular oil changes performed at my local GMC dealer every 5,000 km, and it has always
... been fueled with premium gasoline as recommended by the manufacturer. The engine failure was sudden and unexpected. All lifters and the camshaft were replaced during the repair. Since the repair, I have noticed intermittent RPM fluctuation under light load conditions. I am currently working with my dealer to diagnose whether this issue is related to the recent engine repair or a transmission flush that was performed at the same time. I am extremely disappointed in GMC’s handling of this situation. Despite this being a well-documented issue with the 6.2L engine, I received no goodwill assistance or warranty consideration from GMC. While my dealer provided a partial discount on parts and labor, I was still responsible for nearly the entire repair cost. I hope GMC and NHTSA will review this matter closely, as owners should not be facing such expensive failures on well-maintained vehicles with this engine.Read more

And yet, here I am, facing a repair bill that is not
... only shocking, but unjust. Especially for this to be a common problem. Not to mention the potential for severe engine damage if left unresolved. I’ve since learned that I am not alone. Many loyal Mercedes owners have faced the same issue; often at relatively low mileage, with little to no warning. This is not an isolated defect. It is a systemic issue with significant implications, not just for the vehicle, but for the trust your customers place in your brand. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. I feel let down. Mercedes-Benz has always held a status. A great looking car. A great engineered car. And while this is a great looking car, it has a serious engineering flaw. What happened? While driving my 2015 Tesla Model S, the main touchscreen (MCU) began intermittently going black, disabling access to essential vehicle controls, navigation, climate settings, and rear-view camera display. At times when the MCU was functioning, the rear-view camera feed would still display a black screen upon shifting into Reverse, leaving me without any rear visibility. Component
... or system that failed: Media Control Unit (MCU1) / eMMC memory failure Rear-view camera and/or associated wiring harness Safety risk: The intermittent blackouts of the MCU and loss of rear camera feed created significant safety hazards, especially when reversing or attempting to adjust driving settings while in motion. The loss of rear visibility increased the risk of collision with pedestrians, cyclists, or obstacles. The MCU failure also limited access to defrost/defog controls and turn signal audio feedback. Problem reproduction and confirmation: Tesla Service has confirmed both the MCU1 hardware failure and the rear-view camera malfunction. The problems occurred repeatedly before being inspected. Inspection: The vehicle has been inspected by Tesla Service Center technicians, who diagnosed both the failing MCU1 and the defective rear-view camera.
