I purchased the vehicle with approximately 56,000 miles. Within 2–3 weeks after purchase a “traction battery fault” warning appeared. I took it to a dealership, which said it was a battery module fault. They replaced defective battery cell under warranty (repair value ~$7,000–8,000). During the same initial period and continuing after the battery repair, the vehicle exhibited intermittent
... AC charging failures. It would begin Level 2 charging sessions and then terminate them prematurely. This includes both the Level 2 charger I installed new at my home upon purchasing the car, and commercial Level 2 chargers. The home charger would repeatedly show a fault that the vehicle was ending the sessions. Over the following months, the condition progressively worsened from intermittent to near-total loss of AC charging capability. The vehicle can still DC fast charge. Dealer diagnosed the failure as a defective BCCM requiring replacement at a cost of approximately $6,700. This is a known and documented issue: Jaguar has issued TSB SSM75883 (NHTSA Document MC-10227452-0001) addressing I-PACE vehicles unable to charge with BCCM fault code U3000-49, and TSB SFCC Jul20_11 (NHTSA Document MC-10178140-0001) for the 2020 I-PACE specifically. The vehicle cannot be charged at home or at any AC charging station, rendering it effectively inoperable for normal daily use.Read more

[XXX] [XXX] / [XXX] [XXX] 2010 Toyota Sienna Possible Shifter Interlock Failure: On [XXX] my [XXX] child found his way into the driver’s seat of our 2010 Toyota Sienna while the vehicle was parked in the driveway. According to my wife, there were no keys in the vehicle, and the vehicle was in park. In an instant, my wife (who was outside the van) helplessly observed the van begin to roll
... backward down the driveway and then across the sidewalk (on our side of the street), then across the street, and then across the sidewalk on the other side of the street and into the neighbor’s yard where it finally came to a rest. She said she heard something like grinding gears. I presume my son was trying to put it in park. Thankfully no property damage or personal injuries occurred during the incident. I [XXX] ) was not home when this happened. When I returned home, I inspected the van to see if my son was able activate the emergency shift lock release. I found the cover was intact and evidence of tampering was not observed. I then checked to see if I was able to pull the shifter out of park. Initially, I was unable to, but after a few tries and a little force, I was able to pull the shifter out of park (no keys in ignition, no brake compression, vehicle off) and the van began to roll. Our driveway is somewhat sloped. I replicated this procedure several times: a little force and a little wiggle and clunk, the shifter released and the van rolled. I discovered there was a recall for this very problem on 2010 Sienna’s (NHTSA Recall No.: 17V-657). I entered the Sienna’s VIN number on NHTSA’s website and found no active recall for the VIN number entered. I contacted Toyota of North America (1-800-331-4331) and chose to advocate and spoke to an agent and reported the problem. She was able to determine that the vehicle had been under the recall, but the van was “repaired” in 2020 which is the year we bought the van INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

I own a 2019 Jaguar I-PACE that is currently subject to a battery-related safety recall issued by the manufacturer. The defect involves the high-voltage battery system, which poses a potential fire risk and renders the vehicle unsafe to operate. Due to this recall, I have been advised that the vehicle is not safe to drive and should not be used. As a result, the vehicle is effectively unusable.
... This creates a safety concern because the battery defect presents a risk of thermal events, including fire, even when the vehicle is parked. The issue has been acknowledged by Jaguar Land Rover through the official recall. The vehicle has not been repaired because a complete and adequate remedy has not been made available. Jaguar Land Rover has inspected and reviewed the situation and has offered a buyback; however, the proposed resolution would leave me with approximately $10,000 in out-of-pocket financial loss despite the defect being manufacturer-related. There were no prior warning indicators that would have allowed me to prevent this issue. The problem became known upon notification of the recall. This situation has resulted in ongoing financial harm, as I am required to continue making payments on a vehicle that cannot be safely operated due to a manufacturer defect. The defective component (high-voltage battery system) is available for inspection upon requestRead more

We told a driver with Waymo months ago when he was mapping the pickup route for the Waymos NOT to have them come in our very busy driveway. He did not do as we requested and from that point on they have been coming into our driveway which is private property. If you could please advise them not to enter our driveway that would be great. I have witnessed them beep their horns repeatedly when there'

This does not sound like normal wear and tear for a 6 year old car with that low of miles. Especially when taken care of. Can not pinpoint exactly how moisture got inside or where in the line. States the battery line brings the power from the back of the car where the battery is to the front and the voltage isn’t getting through to start the vehicle. What if you were driving and then suddenly it gave out due to this? This sounds like a safety issue and jaguar doesn’t want to be reliable for it. am submitting this complaint regarding a failure by the manufacturer (Jaguar Land Rover) to perform a federally mandated safety recall on my vehicle. •Vehicle: Jaguar I-PACE (U.S. specification) •VIN: [XXX] •Recall: NHTSA Campaign 23V369000 •Issue: Fire risk when parked This recall identifies a serious fire hazard, yet the manufacturer’s authorized representative in Jordan (Mahmoudia M
... otors) has refused to perform the recall repair. The refusal is based solely on the vehicle having a salvage title, and the issue has been incorrectly classified by Jaguar Land Rover Middle East as a warranty-related matter, which is not accurate. This is a safety recall, not a warranty claim. Key facts: •The vehicle sustained minor damage limited to the front right wheel area and has been professionally repaired •The vehicle is fully operational and structurally intact •Photographic evidence is available showing the minimal nature of the prior damage •The recalled components are present and serviceable I escalated the issue to: •Jaguar Land Rover Middle East (denied) •Jaguar Land Rover North America (no response) As a U.S. citizen owning a U.S.-spec vehicle subject to NHTSA regulation, I am seeking enforcement of recall compliance. ⸻ Safety Concern The manufacturer is knowingly allowing a vehicle with a documented fire risk to remain unrepaired. This creates: •A serious safety hazard •Potential risk of fire, property damage, or injury •A clear case of recall non-compliance ⸻ What You Want NHTSA to Do I am requesting that NHTSA: •Investigate Jaguar Land Rover’s refusal to perform recall 23V369000 •Clarify whether manufacturers can deny recall repairs based on salvage title status •Ensure that the manufacturer complies with its federal safety obligations INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

The airbag warning light came on, so we took it in to see about a recall on the airbag control unit issue that required a wire filter kit as out lined in a recall in 2011-2013 Sonatas and Sonata Hybrids. In fact, upon reading the invoice filling out this form, I think that is exactly the issue, and Potamkin Hyundai is ignoring the recall. The invoice states that "AIRBAG MODULE NEED FIXING caused b
... y the DTC for the driver airbag resistance is too high, and has liquid leaking out of it through the connector into the clock spring, and need to replace the air bag incongruent with clock spring to perform repair correctly" The technician explained to my son that driving the car in it's current state, the air bag could go off at any moment, possibly killing him. Their airbag could kill my child. The repair is quoted at $1588 and the solution was to turn off the airbag until a decision could be made if my son wanted to drive the car home, which he did, so not it is disabled. It is a Hyundai manufactured airbag, a safety feature installed into this vehicle that should not degrade over time. It is actually the reason my aunt bought the car for her child and why my son bought the car from her. The car has never been wrecked, the airbag had never been deployed or otherwise molested, has been dealer maintained, and had an extended warranty. I spoke to a Hyundai representative and am awaiting a call back, I do not think that he should be responsible for repair of a defective, degrading safety feature built and manufactured by Hyundai, installed a vehicle built and manufactured by Hyundai. I believe other people should be warned that their Sonata airbags might also have this dangerous issue and it should be immediately investigated. Attached is the invoice given to my son.Read more

I am filing a complaint regarding my 2022 Acura MDX Type S with approximately 70,700 miles. The vehicle developed a suspension system warning, and upon inspection by an Acura dealership, I was informed that the suspension stroke sensor and floor wiring harness are corroded and require replacement. I was quoted approximately $12,000 for the repair. This failure is extremely concerning because the v
... ehicle is only a few years old and this type of corrosion affecting a major wiring harness should not occur under normal operating conditions. The affected components are part of the suspension system, which directly impacts vehicle handling and safety. Due to the failure, the suspension system may not function properly, potentially affecting ride height, stability, and overall control of the vehicle. This raises safety concerns, especially at highway speeds or during emergency maneuvers. There was no prior warning of water intrusion or external damage that would reasonably explain this level of corrosion. This appears to be a premature failure of a critical electrical component. Acura has only offered minimal goodwill assistance, leaving the majority of this extremely costly repair as the responsibility of the owner. I am concerned that this may be a broader issue affecting other vehicles and that it could pose a safety risk if not addressed. I am requesting that this issue be investigated. Thank you.Read more

At no time during the transaction was I informed that this vehicle was equipped with a reduced fuel tank capacity of approximately 14–15 gallons, nor that its maximum driving range would be limited to approximately 275 miles per tank. This omission is particularly concerning given that I have previously owned two Jaguar F-PACE vehicles, both of which were equipped with fuel tanks of approximately 21–22 gallons and provided an average driving range of close to 400 miles. Within days of taking ownership, I noticed a substantial reduction in driving range. I raised this concern with the salesperson within a few weeks; however, no action was taken. Over time, it became increasingly clear that the vehicle’s limited range significantly impacts its usability, particularly given my profession as a real estate agent, which requires frequent and long-distance driving. The current range makes even routine trips inconvenient and impractical. Due to this issue, I have limited my use of the vehicle, which is reflected in its unusually low mileage of approximately 13,000 miles. On October 1, 2025, my wife and I stopped to use the restroom and stretch our legs. While walking around or RV, we noticed a problem with the 5th wheel area of our RV. Upon inspection, we realized there was a major problem due to the fact that we could see into our closet when we looked at the separation that had occurred from the lower panel and the nose cone. We immediately called our extended w
... arranty company. We were advised to get it to the closest repair facility if possible. We drove 25mph to reach Camping World. Camping World diagnosed the problem and reported it to the Extended Warranty company. The Extended Warranty company refused repair because they said we were in a collision. WE WERE NEVER IN A COLLISION. Camping World called them and advised that there was no collision and requested an inspector to come take a look. The inspector acknowledged there was no collision but the Extended Warranty company still stand by their initial response. I have called them more than 10 times to plead my case but to no avail. It clearly states in the contract that broken frame welds are covered. My next contact was with the manufacturer and the company that built the frame. The manufacturer claims no responsibility because they did not build the frame. The company that built the frame says they have a 3 year warranty and this exceeds the 3 years so they are not responsible. The problem here is that the area of concern is covered by a panel. There was no way of knowing there was a problem until it finally presented itself. There beam on the passenger side is cracked in multiple places and all 5 welds are broke. on the drivers side, the beam is also cracked and 3 of the 5 welds are broke. The only thing keeping the trailer from separating from the truck was the nosecone. If my wife and I hadn't stopped, it was possible the RV could have separated from the truck causing a major accident or death. The rig is in storage as it is not able to be towed or used.Read more

I have taken this vehicle into the Honda dealership on five separate occasions to report a power transfer problem. I first visited the Honda dealership to report this problem on 9/2024. It hasn't been until my most recent visit on 12/18/25, that a customer service representative told me that my vehicle needed a new torque converter. It is available for inspection upon request. The first occas
... ion when the vehicle caused a safety issue, we were preparing to make a left hand turn and the car jerked, the dash lights flashed, and the vehicle completely turned off. This was in the summer of 2024. We have had many smaller incidents leading up to this first occurrence but they haven't resulted in the vehicle completely shutting off. Most of the power transfer problems occur when we first back out of the driveway, put the car into drive, press down on the gas pedal, and there is no propulsion forward. This has occurred on a regular basis since the purchase of the vehicle. After two to three seconds the car jerks forward and then drives. This will also occasionally occur when we are stopped at a stop sign or at a traffic light waiting to propel forward or make a turn. Many of the safety issues occur when trying to make a turn with traffic, and there is no power to propel the vehicle forward. We have been fortunate to have the other vehicles slow to allow the Pilot to pause before moving forward. We now have to ensure there is a large distance before making a turn. We have had the dealership, Continental Honda of Anchorage, reproduce the lag problem, July 2025. Recently, we had a Transmission System Problem warning light come on the vehicle. We have also had a flashing P, R, D indicator light when the vehicle was in those gears. The Transmission System Problem light appeared on December 9th, then it reappeared on the 17th.Read more

I believe my vehicle has a serious safety defect related to the engine cooling system that creates a fire and safety hazard. Specifically, coolant appears to leak from the cooling-elbow near the turbocharger, following a belt failure that lead to engine overheating and elbow pipe burst leading to coolant leaking on to the turbo heatshield or exhaust components. There was serious smoking when the
... issue happened and i shutdown on the highway as an emergency which most likely would have lead to an engine-bay fire or complete vehicle fire.. This failure mode and fire risk concern mirrors the defect described in NHTSA Recall 23V-221 (Loose or damaged coolant elbow leading to coolant leak on turbo/heatshield, risk of fire) for different JLR vehicles but ignores the F-pace model which I believe faces similar concern. The issue occurred on 9/2/2025 at approximately 9.30 AM while driving from US23 ramp to M-14, the engine suddenly reported charging system fault (but actually the serpentine belt had failed), then in a couple of minutes the engine started overheating and i pulled over for emergency. The coolant started spraying over engine bay from two locations and suddenly observed smoke from engine bay. After getting my car towed back to a workshop, I removed a heat shield and took photos, which clearly show coolant residue near the coolant outlet / elbow hose connection above the turbo. The leak appears to originate at the junction of the coolant elbow — matching the failure mode described in the 23V-221 recall documents. I have not (yet) received any recall notice that covers my vehicle for this issue (checked via NHTSA recall search tool on safercar.gov). Because the leak is directly above the turbo / exhaust manifold heatshield, there is a significant risk of fire, especially once the engine warms up and turbo area gets hot. A fire in the engine bay can quickly spread, endangering vehicle occupants and other road users.Read more

Failed Power Train part that Nissan Knows about( TSB Notify to shops ) and is not willing to fix. This item is failing premature and can definitely be a safety hazard. My wife was driving this when it completely failed. She was afraid her car was falling apart, vibrating excessively. It is the Left hand side motor mounts. It causes serious vibration throughout the vehicle when driving or stopped.
... They issued a TSB NTB24-14 for 2021-2023 Nissan rogues. Looking back I would say there was small vibrations around 30-32K miles but it was just intermitting. I'm not a mechanic nor my wife. We bought a Nissan because we were told they were safe and reliable vehicles. I do not feel this way about it anymore.Read more
