Last fall while traveling north from Phoenix on [XXX] when I reached our campground in Cottonwood, AZ I got out and started to my set up to camp and noticed the engine grill was detached and tucked up against the radiator. It was held on by 2 brackets. All the others were broken as the epoxy failed. I know there is a recall from Winnebago currently for the engine hood brackets. I assume the same
... epoxy was used on that. They are repairing at no charge. There is nothing about the grill.The recall is NHSTA24V-826 Winnebago 197. After having my front windshield replaced due to a recall my front camera quit working properly. This happened a year ago. Since then I have had a warning come up on my dash ever time I start my car saying the front camera has a fault and the front collision avoidance does not work. Additionally this effected the following. I have no cruise control, no blue cruise, no lane keeping assist, no self
... park, no adaptive cruise control and no accident avoidance system functions. There was a service bulletin issued but it should be a recall as it effects anyone that has had the windshield replaced. Apparently the wires that connect the camera are ridiculously fragile and when the windshield was replaced they were damaged. I have been waiting since spring 2023 for the parts after software updates failed to fix the problem and Ford realized the problem. They are now on back order and it keeps being pushed back. The wires are clearly defective and should not have been used if they can be damaged by a windshield replacement. And issuing a service bulletin clearly shows that they know it’s a problem but they do not want to pay to fix for everyone.Read more

right side trim of windshield broke off while driving on highway this past weekend. 2APR2023. we heard a crack and then saw the trim flying behind us and then landing in middle of the road. lucky traffic was light and no one was directly behind us. the rubber weather stripping then wrapped around the side mirror which we had to physically remove.

The check engine warning light and the power train warning light were illuminated. The contact veered to the side of the road. The contact was able to continue driving. The contact stated that he used an OBD reader and retrieved a diagnostic code that related the failure to the drive train. The contact stated that the failure had been occurring increasingly while driving at high speed or while driving downhill. The vehicle was taken to an RV transmission specialist, where the vehicle was diagnosed with low voltage. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. (SEE EARLIER COMPLAINT #11340388) OVER THE PAST FIVE YEARS, THIS IS NOW THE FIFTH WHEEL SPEED SENSOR NEEDING REPLACEMENT AND THIS PARTICULAR INCIDENT REFLECTS

TO MAKE THIS ADJUSTMENT WINNEBAGO RAN THE AFOREMENTIONED 1/0 WIRE BETWEEN THE NEW LOCATION FOR THE ENGINE STARTING BATTERIES TO THE HOUSE BATTERIES. THE PROBLEM IS THAT THEY RAN THE WIRED BETWEEN A 3 INCH GAP BETWEEN THE EXHAUST AND THE FRAME. WITHIN A FEW WEEKS OF PURCHASING THE RIG NEW, I CALLED THE DEALER TO COMPLAIN THAT THE ENGINE BATTERY DRAINED TOO LOW TO START THE ENGINE WITHIN TWO WEEKS OF SITTING. THEY PROCLAIMED THAT THIS WAS NORMAL DUE TO PARASITIC LOAD AND I SHOULD START AND RUN IT FOR A FEW MINUTES EVERY COUPLE OF WEEKS. I THOUGHT THAT WAS CRAZY BUT I AHD A NEWER COVET THAT COULD NOT SIT IDLE FOR MORE THAN A MONTH. ABOUT A YEAR LATER THE BATTERIES DID NOT LAST FOR JUST TWO DAYS. I DECIDED TO MEASURE THIS 'PARASITIC' LOAD. IN SO DOING I BLEW THE FUSE IN MY 10 AMP BETTER. AFTER CONSIDERABLE EFFORT I FOUND THE MELTED WIRE. FAILURE OF THE PLASTIC TURBO NOISE DAMPENER CAUSED IMMEDIATE LOSS OF POWER AND PLACING US IN A PRECARIOUS SITUATION WHILE GOING UPHILL ON A BUSY HIGHWAY.

THIS COMPLAINT IS ABOUT THE CUMMINS ISL ENGINE FAILURES. A LIGHT ON OUR DASH PINGED AND FLASHED. I CALLED FREIGHTLINER AND WAS TOLD IT WAS A STOP ENGINE LIGHT. I WAS TOLD IT WAS PROBABLY A "GLITC" AND IT WAS OKAY TO DRIVE. HOWEVER, WE TOOK IT INTO A FREIGHTLINER/CUMMINS REPAIR FACILITY TO JUST CHECK IT OUT. THEY FOUND THAT THE OIL PRESSURE WAS FINE, NO PROBLEM WITH THE SENDING UNIT, OR THE DASH IN
... STRUMENT CLUSTER, SO THEY DROPPED THE OIL PAN. THEY FOUND THAT A THRUST BUSHING HAD FALLEN OFF ONE OF THE CRANKSHAFT BEARINGS AND 2 OF THE MAIN BEARINGS HAD SPUN OUT. HAD WE NOT STOPPED AND TAKEN THE COACH IN TO BE LOOKED AT, THAT ENGINE WOULD HAVE BLOWN APART ON THE HIGHWAY AND POSSIBLY KILLED SOMEONE AND DEFINITELY WOULD HAVE CAUSED MAJOR DAMAGE TO THE COACH. WHILE DRIVING ON INTERSTATE 40 AT 70 MPH LEFT REAR OUTER TIRE SUDDENLY SUFFERED TREAD SEPARATION AND BLOWOUT. NO INJURIES OCCURRED. CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE WAS EASILY MAINTAINED WHILE PULLING OVER TO THE SHOULDER. EVERY DEALER I HAVE CONTACTED STATES THAT IT WILL BE AT LEAST MARCH BEFORE THEY START RECEVIING REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR THIS RECALL.
