BRAKES GRIND AND FAIL COMPLETELY WHEN ABS SYSTEM ENGAGES. ABS ENGAGES WHEN VEHICLE HITS BUMPS DURING BRAKING AND THE BRAKES FAIL. THIS HAPPENS ALMOST DAILY AT ANY SPEED AND HAS CAUSED SEVERAL NEAR COLLISIONS.THE DEALER WILL NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THE PROBLEM AND WOULD NOT CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER.

AT LEAST SIX TIMES IN THE PAST YEAR MY BRAKING SYSTEM HAS FAILED TO WORK PROPERLY. AT SPEEDS OF 30 MILES PER HOUR AND LESS I'VE HAD TO BRAKE SUDDENLY. IN DECEMBER, 1998 WHILE UNDER WARRANTY I HAD TOTH BUICK REPLACE THE HEAD GASKETS. WITHIN A FEW MONTHS IT WAS LEAKING OIL AGAIN SO I TOOK IT BACK IN FOR MY USUAL OIL CHANGE AND TOLD THEM. ON JULY 10, 1999, MY FAMILY AND I WERE COMMING HOME FROM RIVERSIDE PARK AND ON THE WAY BACK HOME AT 12:00AM, ALL THE LIGHTS ON MY CAR STARTED TO GO ON AND OFF , THE ENGINE STARTED TO MAKE A WAIRED NOISE AND SMELL LIKE IF SOMETHING WAS BURNING. THE ALL THE CLERK SAID TO ME WAS "OH WELL" AND JUST HUNG UP AND NEVER SENT NOBODY TO HELP ME OUT WITH THE CAR. AT THIS TIME MY CAR IS AT THE STATE POLICE. I WILL BE CALLED THE DEALER AND HOPEFUL THEY WILL BE ABLE TO TELL ME WHAT IS THE ACTUAL PROBLEM WITH THE CAR. THE SECOND PROBLEM IS THE RODERS ON THE CAR MAKE A LOUD NOISE WHEN I REVERSE. ALTHOUGH WARRANTY EXPIRED I DEMANDED REPAIRS DUE TO THE HISTORY OF PROBLEMS. THEY REPLACED EXPANSION VALVE, RECEIVER DRYER, GASKETS & O-RINGS. THE COMPRESSOR FAILED IN LESS THAN 2 WEEKS. I WAS ABLE TO GET TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, AND GET OUT.THE FIRE APPEARED TO BE UNDERNEATH THE TRUCK WITH GAS OR SOME OTHER LIQUID POURING OUT.
