CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ON AND TRUCK CUTS OFF FREQUENTLY. I HAVE HAD THE PLUGS AND WIRES CHANGED, NUMEROUS OIL CHANGES, GAS TREATMENTS. I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC SEVERAL TIMES. I EVEN WENT ON LINE TO CHECK INFORMATION AND WAS TOLD THAT THE FUEL TANK HAS GONE BAD AND THAT ONE COMING FROM THE MANUFACTURE WOULD COST $1500.00! I JUST BOUGHT THIS TRUCK IN MAY 2004. MY 2003 ISUZU ASCENDER WILL NOT START OCCASIONALLY. THE KEYS EVEN LOCKED IN THE IGNITION ONE OF THE TIMES. I HAD IT JUMPED AND THE VEHICLE WAS OK FOR A MONTH OR SO. NO WARNING WHATSOEVER, AND NO PRIOR MECHANICAL WORK PERFORMED IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT RELATING TO FUEL LINES. FUEL LEVEL SENSOR IN GAS TANK FAILED EARLY IN AUTOMOBILE'S LIFE. GAS GAUGE USED TO READ INCORRECTLY, EVENTUALLY NOT REGISTERING ANY GASOLINE AT ALL (ALWAYS ON EMPTY).
